Chapter 30 - Sports Festival II

—What the hell are you two playing at, Ugly-eyed Bastard and Copper-Hair!?— Bakugo yelled with a grimace of exasperation and small explosions in his palms.

All the other members of Class 1-A also looked at the siblings with a touch of annoyance.

In the eyes of these kids, being at UA is an opportunity and a battle in itself. The fact that Tetsumaru and Mei seemed not to take it seriously was like spitting on their efforts.

—What we do and don't do is none of your business— Tetsumaru said coldly, facing the shouting blonde. Despite being aware of what being here means to some, Tetsumaru couldn't care less.

—That's enough, Bakugo. Behave or you'll be disqualified— Momo warned her classmate, but her complicated look betrayed her true feelings. Even for her, it was difficult to swallow what these two siblings had done.

They weren't the only ones.

Among the crowd, some commented on what happened. More importantly, among the heroes who were watching, many heads shook in disapproval.

—Well, that was certainly inconsiderate to the other participants— Present Mic said without filter. Aizawa could only nod distractedly, his thoughts flying to the Terumi siblings' possible reasons for not climbing too high.

—Alright, alright, here are the results— Midnight announced, eager to calm the mood.

As in the original work, Midoriya finished first, followed by Todoroki, and Bakugo third. Mei was positioned in fourth place and Tetsumaru in fifth, displacing Shiozaki Ibara to sixth place.

As a result, Aoyama did not qualify for the next round.

—For the next round, you'll face each other in a cavalry battle!

After the explanation of the mechanics of this round and the start of the 15-minute break, Tetsumaru approached the heroine.

—Excuse me, Sensei.

—Hm, what is it?— she asked curiously.

—I need to go to the bathroom— Tetsumaru said.

—Fufufu, sensitive bladder, kid?— Midnight mocked, looking for a reaction from the expressionless Tetsumaru. She frowned when she saw him nod with boredom.

—So, can I go?

—Tsk, fine, but don't be late or you'll be disqualified!— she said, pouting. For an instant, she felt a killing intent that pierced her forehead, but it vanished as soon as it came.

Midnight ignored Tetsumaru, who turned and left the arena with a hurried step, and searched for the source of the sensation.

Just as in the original work, all eyes turned to Midoriya due to his 10,000-point value. Likewise, he was able to team up with Uraraka, Hatsume Mei, and Tokoyami.

To one side, Terumi Mei patiently waited for the return of her other half, deliberately avoiding Midnight's constant scans. Suddenly, a young blond man with a murky smile approached her.

—Greetings, Terumi Mei. I am Neito Monoma— he introduced himself.

—Hey— Mei said.

—Well, I was wondering if you'd like to team up with me— the blonde proposed as he extended his hand. Mei, who was unaware of this guy's Quirk and didn't remember it at all, refused to make direct contact with him.

—I must decline, Neito Monoma. I already have my partner— she politely refused.

—Oh, but I don't see your boyfriend around here— Monoma said with a smile.

—He'll be back— Mei concluded before turning away with a hmph at the smug subject.

—Hey, they're not boyfriend and girlfriend, they're siblings— Ojiro said from the side, and Monoma blinked a couple of times in confusion.

Approximately 15 minutes later, Tetsumaru returned to the arena and rejoined Mei. Moments later, the start of the cavalry battle was announced.

—Tetsumaru, that blonde with the cuckolder face was bothering me!— Mei accused with puffed cheeks. The Third Kazekage's reincarnation's gaze sharpened.

As soon as the skirmish began, the Satetsu emerged from the storage seals with two purposes. The first was to create a platform that elevated Tetsumaru and Mei's figures, with Mei standing easily on Tetsumaru's shoulder.

The second was to snatch the headbands from Monoma and TetsuTetsu, which caught them off guard.

Why against TetsuTetsu? His name simply offended him.

—Son of a bitch!!— yelled the Steel boy.

—There you have it, Terumi Tetsumaru and Terumi Mei repeat the previous tactic!— Present Mic shouted with excitement. His words surprised a large part of the crowd.

Were those two siblings?

For his part, Bakugo felt indecisive. He wanted to destroy Deku, but he also felt the need to blow up that cloud of sand and its occupants.

Todoroki decided to deal with those two later, focusing on Midoriya and those 10,000 points.

—Well, that's a very good balance. And look, the boy doesn't even flinch at the weight of his sister on his entire shoulder— commented MT. Lady with surprise.

Not just her. Many heroes examining the participants took note of the Terumi siblings' good physical condition. After all, standing on a person's shoulder while moving in the air is not easy at all.

Suddenly, an explosion and a shout caught the shinobi's attention.

—Ugly Eyeess!— Bakugo growled as he flew towards them, his hands preparing an explosion. Without changing his expression or moving an inch, Tetsumaru moved his Satetsu and blocked the blonde's palms.

—Try anything funny and you'll lose those hands— the black-sclera-eyed boy threatened.

—Huh?! You think your pathetic sand can st—

Bakugo was interrupted by being thrown in the opposite direction, directly toward his teammates. Tetsumaru considered it opportune to disqualify him right here, but it wouldn't work for their plans.

—Sensei, what's the height limit!?— Mei asked Midnight.

—Uh? Oh, there's no height limit— she shrugged.

Following her words, the Satetsu platform rose until it was unreachable by Ibara's vines. They could still be attacked, but the Iron Sand was simply too versatile.

Despite the bad opinion the two siblings earned in the obstacle course, professional heroes didn't only consider those things. They all saw the versatility of the Satetsu and took note.

—Hm, I'll have to draw attention in the individual battles. So far, I haven't put on a good performance— Mei said calmly.

—It can't be helped. My Satetsu is difficult to hide. If I had acquired some Elemental Release, I could have hidden it— Tetsumaru resigned himself.

He wouldn't deny the usefulness of this technique, but in exchange for that, he was exposed to villains. Everyone would see him here and know what to expect. He could only comfort himself with the fact that they would misjudge the amount he could handle at once, as well as the distance.
