Chapter 8 - Knowledge

-Let's recap again, to make sure we don't leave anything out- Mei said with a look of concentration on her face. In her hands was a small notepad, where they had written down everything they knew about Boku No Hero.

She leaned her head back, resting on Tetsumaru's chest, her other half. The black-haired man wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on Mei's head.

A couple of years had passed since the duo opened Pandora's Box and they had reached a new state in their relationship.

They weren't exactly a couple since they were both the same person, but they had no other way to classify their relationship. However, they didn't need to put such labels on themselves, as the very nature of both left no room for a definite classification.

Can one be a couple with oneself, even if in another body? Existential questions that don't need an answer, and both accepted that in their hearts.

-Midoriya Izuku, he has One For All and is the protagonist of the story - Tetsumaru said, and Mei nodded.

-All Might is on his last legs; he passed his power to Midoriya -

-All For One is the evil All Might; he wants to conquer or destroy the world-

-The girl with the black ponytail and hair, who wears a red costume and shows her cleavage is a millionaire or something-

-The fire hero is an asshole, but he might present an opportunity-

-Bakugo is annoying-

-We need to prioritize the big robot in the exam, like Midoriya did-

-The villains will attack the school at some point, but we don't know when-

-The guy with the hands is dangerous; if he touches you, you die or something-

-They will also attack a training camp, and we don't know when that happens either-

-The Hero Killer kills the friend or relative of the guy with engines in his legs-

-The ice and fire guy has daddy issues-

After concluding their observations, they realized they were very, very screwed.

Mei groaned while slapping her face, and Tetsumaru sighed slightly. Now more than ever, they cursed each other for having only watched a few episodes of that anime.

They knew practically nothing after the Hero Killer events, and they barely remembered what came before in fragments here and there.

They only recalled some stupid online uproar over Bakugo's apparent death, which is why they still knew the explosion guy. Otherwise, they had no idea about the plotlines.

Memories of a loli with a horn or something, a smaller All Might who stripped to fight, and many, many fan arts of a dark-skinned, muscular-bodied rabbit girl.

-We can't do much more, Tetsumaru. We'll have to live the anime ourselves, but from the sidelines - Mei said. Her other half nodded.

The UA entrance exam was only a few weeks away.

Initially, neither of them wanted to get involved in the plot and wanted to apply to other hero schools and live a life of disinterest and ordinary heroism.

But a small divine message sent by a certain strange Deity closed that route for them. While they weren't forced to be the protagonists and handle all the plot's problems, they had to accompany the crying puppy Deku on his journey one way or another.

-Alright, I'll play the role of the serious, inexpressive guy who seems intimidating and malicious, but is actually cool - Tetsumaru said without changing his bored expression.

-That is to say, a typical flat, shitty character from a badly written fanfic - Mei countered.

Before they could continue their discussion, the bedroom door opened to reveal a woman with pink hair and green eyes.

-Kids, it's time to-

Sakura's words caught in her throat when she saw her adopted daughter in her underwear and a tank top, leaning back against her brother's lap. He was shirtless, with his arms wrapped around her waist.

A blush decorated her cheeks, and she looked down at the floor, embarrassed by the siblings' closeness.

-Uh, ah, it's time for dinner- she said awkwardly before closing the door and heading down to the kitchen.

Both Sakura and Sasuke had noticed the unsettling closeness between their adopted children. They were aware that they weren't blood siblings, but given the values of both, they had to have an uncomfortable conversation about it.

The maturity, honesty, and confidence with which Mei and Tetsumaru spoke left both parents incredulous once again. In the end, neither Sakura nor Sasuke could convince them that they should stop behaving that way.

For their part, the shinobi made sure to keep their more questionable activities secret, preferring to give the impression of an unnatural closeness rather than that of perverts rubbing against each other until climax.

The world was not ready for an incestuous scandal between two "siblings."

After getting dressed, the duo went downstairs and had a relaxed dinner with their adoptive parents. They tried to enjoy these small moments, because once the story properly began, their days of tranquility would end.

And their years of practice and training would be put to the test.

It turns out that WN has blocked Author-chan, and the poor guy has no choice but to start over again. That won't completely interrupt the chapters I upload, but it might slow me down later, depending on Author-chan's mood to continue publishing.
