One week passed after the White Gundam's decisive victory against the Bishop, and the political situation on Earth was at a boiling point. Colonian public trust in their military plummeted, while the spirit of resistance among the native Earth inhabitants soared.
The Earth rebel forces, who had previously only dared to conduct minor sabotages, saw a golden opportunity. They knew that amid the internal Colonian chaos and the shifting military focus, defenses at vital facilities might be lax.
Their target: the Main Solar Power Plant Sector 4. This facility supplied most of the energy to the Colonian military installations in Neo-Veridia, and fortunately, it was not heavily guarded by heavy Mobile Suit units, only regular ground guard posts.
The rebel forces deployed their old combat units: several old Pioneer units they had managed to seize or steal over the years. These Mobile Suits were repainted in dull colors, equipped with heavy but antiquated weaponry: large-caliber chain machine guns, simple rocket bazookas, and large shields made of recycled material.
Inside the command Mobile Suit cockpit, Augustina Mcgraven, a clever young woman and one of the rebel field leaders, led the attack.
"Remember the plan, comrades! Do not destroy the main reactor. We only need to take over the control center. This energy belongs to Earth!" Augustina commanded through the team communication channel.
The attack was quick and effective. Although slow and underpowered, the old Pioneer units managed to penetrate the perimeter defense, disable the ground guards, and secure the control center. Augustina immediately sent a recall signal to other rebel troops. The Solar Power Plant site was now officially their new operations base.
In Neo-Veridia City, the Kimeza family's normal routine continued.
That afternoon, in their living room, Zaki, Maki, and Airi were watching the Colonian news broadcast. The television showed an emergency report about the fall of the Solar Power Plant Sector 4 to the rebels.
"Earth Rebel Forces have seized control of a strategic Colonian resource. The Colony military is preparing a counter-attack within 24 hours," the news anchor reported in a tense voice.
Zaki merely muttered, "Old Pioneer units. They must have been lucky because the Colonians withdrew most of their Mobile Suit forces to focus on new development."
Maki sat next to her mother, her expression calm. Airi turned off the television. They knew that outside, the world was on the brink of new chaos, but in this house, they were an ordinary family who had just finished dinner.
A few minutes later, their doorbell rang.
Maki, who was closest, rushed to open the front door. Standing there were Aurora Anveil and her mother, Mili Anveil.
"Hi, Maki! Sorry to interrupt this late in the afternoon," Aurora greeted, smiling brightly.
Mili Anveil, a woman who exuded an aura of gentleness and intelligence, stepped inside. "Airi, I hope our arrival isn't an inconvenience. This is about all our futures."
After exchanging pleasantries, they sat in the living room. Mili began the serious conversation.
"Airi, your White Mobile Suit has given us hope. But with the rebel action today, the Colonians will overreact. We do not want a major war to break out on Earth. We want the Colonians to withdraw peacefully, or at least, establish fair negotiations," Mili stated.
Airi, with a calm yet firm face, explained their position. "Mili, we are fighting not to destroy the Colonians, but for balance between the Colonians and Earth. We are fighting to ensure unwanted conflicts do not happen. We do have the White Gundam, but we cannot fight the entire Colonian military alone. If we stand out too much, they will just retaliate with a unit much stronger than the Bishop."
Mili nodded, understanding the reluctance. "That's why I am here. I want to offer something to the Kimeza family."
She took a breath. "The White Gundam needs maintenance, spare parts, and energy. Secret operations require significant funding. I will provide full funding for your group's supplies. In addition, I will also provide sponsorship that allows you to move more freely, giving you a perfect cover for every operation."
Zaki, who had been silent and suspicious all this time, finally spoke up. "With all due respect, Ms. Mili. What kind of job do you have that allows you to fund the most expensive Mobile Suit on Earth and its operational supplies? Why should we highly believe that you can fund the White Gundam's supplies?"
Mili smiled softly. "A very honest question, Zaki. I know you are suspicious, especially after what Aurora and I told you about our background." Mili reached for her small handbag. "I founded a technology company. We create smart robots to simplify housework and, most importantly, be good companions for children. Our brand name is HARO."
Just as she mentioned the name, a small, spherical robot floated out of Aurora's bag. The robot was bright purple, and its tiny pink eyes blinked.
"Hello! My name is Haro! Nice to meet you all!" the robot chirped in a cheerful, cute voice.
Maki instantly stood up. Her eyes sparkled. "Oh, he's so cute! He can talk? Can I touch him?"
"Of course," Aurora replied, chuckling. "He is the first fully functional HARO prototype. We built him from scratch."
Airi looked at Mili. She knew Mili was sincere. This funding was not just money, but also a network and a perfect cover. After a long thought, Airi extended her hand.
"We agree, Ms. Mili. We accept this cooperation. We will maintain balance on Earth, and you will help us keep the White Gundam operational."
Project Romeo Blu
Two days later, the collaboration between the Kimeza family and Mili Anveil had just begun. Mili was setting up secret supply lines, and Zaki and Maki were planning their first patrol under their new cover.
However, the peace at the Solar Power Plant Sector 4, the new base of the Earth rebel forces, was suddenly shattered.
From the sky, a mysterious Mobile Suit descended. The unit was bright blue, white, and black, radiating a military aura much more modern than the Bishop. It was equipped with two Beam Rifles mounted on its arms, missile pods on both of its thruster wings, and a pair of prominent yellow horns on its head. The unit moved with terrifying aerial speed.
The Mobile Suit, the Romeo Blu Gundam, immediately launched its attack. The machine gun bullets from the rebel forces' old Pioneers ricocheted uselessly off its advanced armor.
Inside its cockpit—which was a dual cockpit—a conversation between the two pilots could be heard.
"Wars, they are only using old Pioneers. Why do we have to use full force?" asked a woman.
"Silence, Aya! The King demands proof of power! And besides, I have to show that white ghost that Mercury has a Mobile Suit faster than that Klaus Kimeza trash!" answered a loud, gruff man's voice.
The man, Wars Stinger, a Lieutenant Colonel from the Mercury Colonian, was the main controller of the Mobile Suit. His partner, Aya Rose, a slim, large-chested female Corporal, was in charge of controlling the advanced weapon systems and sensors.
"Romeo Blu Gundam, quick attack mode! Primary target: energy control center!" Wars commanded.
The Blue Mobile Suit darted forward. Aya activated its twin Beam Rifles. Green energy beams sliced through the air, destroying the rebel Pioneers one by one. Augustina's forces were overwhelmed. This single mysterious Mobile Suit unit was more deadly than any entire Colonian squadron they had ever fought.
Wars Stinger, with a satisfied laugh, activated public communication to the entire area. "Listen, Earth rebels! I am Wars Stinger, Lieutenant Colonel of the Mercury Colonian, and this is my partner, Aya Rose! Our Mobile Suit is the Romeo Blu Gundam! We are sent to remind you of your true place!"
The Romeo Blu Gundam began raining small missiles onto the rebel base from its wing pods, turning the Solar Power Plant into a burning hell. The Colonians had deployed a new surprise unit from another colony to dominate Earth.
