The letter came two days later.
Not from a doctor — from a film contest.
He'd sent in a shaky one-minute clip of himself monologuing in his room, pretending to be a superhero saying goodbye to Earth.

"Congratulations, Timothy Wren. You've been selected for a callback audition in New Metro City."
It felt like someone had handed him sunlight.
He told his mom, who smiled like she didn't want to get his hopes up.His dad muttered something about "bills don't pay themselves."Tanya squealed and offered to do his hair for the big day.

The strongest superhero in the world — gone.
Tim stared at the holo-screen, her last known image flashing between static and silence.
