Jungtae didn't leave his room.
The first day, his mother thought he just needed time. The second day, she brought food and left it by the door, but it was left untouched the whole day.
"J-Jungtae…? You have to eat…" Mrs. Han knocked on the door, lightly.
By the third day, the silence scared her.
"Jungtae? Come out and eat… plsss. Tell me what's wrong." His mother cried out the door, eyes tearing up.
Behind the closed door, Jungtae lay curled on his bed, phone clutched to his chest, expecting and hoping for any message from Owen. His eyes were swollen, lashes clumped together from tears that never seemed to stop.
"Hic.. Hic.. Hic."
His screen was still open, it was on their chats.
He scrolled endlessly…up, down, up again, reading the same messages over and over. As Jungtae kept scrolling through their messages, tears keeps falling from his eyes.
"Did you eat?"
"Text me when you get home."
"Goodnight.♡"
His vision blur staring at Owen's old messages.
