Stuck at the beach for a few days, they had no other choice.
The next day. Rain hit the roof in heavy bursts.
Jungtae woke up to the sound and opened his eyes slowly. His body felt warm under the blanket, but the air felt cold. He sat up and rubbed his face with both hands. His hair was messy, his head still heavy from sleep.
"Owen?" he said.
No answer.
He turned to the side. The other half of the bed was empty. The blanket there was folded back, his space was cold, he woke up a few hours ago.
Jungtae stood up and walked out of the bedroom. The small beach house was quiet except for the rain. The couch was empty. The bathroom door was open. No light inside. The kitchen was empty too.
He walked to the window and pulled the curtain aside.
Rain poured hard outside. The sky was gray. Waves crashed against the shore, rough and loud.
"Yesterday was just sunny…"
Then he saw a figure near the water.
Jungtae squinted.
It was Owen.
