Two figures could be seen strutting down the hallway of the large colossal palace.
The palace was filled to the brim with guards and warriors of different kinds, men, half breeds and fire creatures alike.
Dragons hovered on top of the palace roaring loudly.
One of the figures wore a red and golden armour, placed on his head was a viking hat with two horns attached to it, a sword sheathed by his side.
While the other figure was a young woman, her silver hair reaching the side of her waist glowed beautifully complementing her white gown.
"It's been too long," the Viking spoke, trying to subside the flaming anger raging inside him. "I know viper," the silver headed woman responded.
"But I am sure this wouldn't waste your time."
"I believe we are closer than ever, " said the silver headed woman.
"And once she's completely gone, we'll conquer this realm just as we've wished for two thousand years."
After walking a few more steps the Viking and the silver headed woman turned left, entering a temple.
A glowing magical fountain could be seen in the middle of the room, crafted in the base side of the fountain were gem holes, the water glittering like it was filtered with diamonds.
The diagonal holes ranged to about thirteen , while a larger part of it was already occupied with gems.
The silver headed young woman then walked closer to the fountain and muttered a spell while closing her eyes.
A giant scroll appeared, floating above the fountain, the young woman stepped aside.
The Viking walked closer, staring at the scroll as he breathed, "it's a riddle."
"Yes" the young woman confirmed as she continued.
"I have already solved it."
"Where are we to find the next gem?" the Viking questioned, turning his gaze back to the young woman. She responded, "the western coast, that's where we are to find it."
The Viking then nodded, alright then, the replied smirking.
"I'll summon the upper four."
—
The eastern part of the world had completely been taken by the dragon clan.
After the first viking attack, the other continents secretly waged war with them.
The war was complex as there was no direct place to attack and the viper viking and his subordinates were scattered around the world.
Conventional weapons had also become useless as a dragons grew stronger on impact. The world was ending, just as sooth sayers predicted and priests prophesied.
It was at night, the bright stars shimmered, scattered all around the clouds, buildings cut through the skies of a familiar city.
It was fully lit and bubbling. On one of the high buildings a figure could be seen, aura emitting from her body like she created aura itself.
It was none other than the phantom paw, her gaze fixed on the wide expanse of the phantom city; her fingers twitched, a purple sword immediately appearing, she smiled, muttering, "it worked."
Every night Zaya would climb to the top of a building in the battle suit June had made for her not so long ago. She'd always come to meditate on what Korin had told her the night the viking war ended.
"Edeth,"she muttered to herself, "the great warrior," She then raised her left hand upwards, peering at her fingers, studying it like a manual, a calm demeanor strapped across her face, she couldn't still believe she was Edeth's Reincarnate.
Her thoughts were suddenly disrupted by insane laughter and gun shots that resounded from below.
Zaya walked to the edge of the roof as she gazed down at a couple of armed raggered men.
From the looks of it they were opposing criminal factions, Probably fighting for money and fame Zaya thought to herself ignoring them, taking a few steps back.
She abruptly stopped in her tracks noticing something suspicious, a brown package that was being passed from one of them to another.
On top of the package was a red dragon logo. On instinct Zaya concluded it had something to do with the dragon clan.
"Are you sure this is it?"
One of the men with tattoos all over his body spoke, "yes it is" the complete package the other raggered man answered.
Dropping in their midst was a metallic can, with beeping sounds coming from it.
"Grenade, you cheats!"
One of the men yelled, but before they could make the slightest move the iron can exploded into a thick smoke.
All of the men fell to the ground unconscious, when the mist cleared, Zaya let herself down through a zip liner, walking towards the package and opening it.
She was disappointed, it was only a few bars of gold, she sighed, this was not what she'd expected.
Zaya looked up into the sky and saw that time was far spent, she took one last stare at the stars and then vanished from the scene.
The phantom paw had become a household name in the phantom city for the protection she had continuously offered.
She now worked for the WMCO by eliminating all threats the alpha commander had presented to her.
It was that way for a long period until two of Zaya's closest companions were sent on a dangerous mission which they'd never returned from.
Zaya entered into the abandoned building, it was thoroughly dark, she turned on her torch. At her front was a rusty elevator,
she pressed the green button on the left located at the side of the elevator.
"Biometrics verified"
"Zaya Lexington, welcome back to the phantom paw headquarters." The inbuilt voice in the elevator spoke, "glad to be back," said Zaya as the elevator door opened.
Zaya then walked into the elevator which automatically descended. She tapped on the paw sign placed in the middle of her battle suit around the chest area.
It immediately flickered, absorbing all of the other parts of the suit, Zaya raised her head up as she closed her eyes, her fingers tightening against each other.
"Enough of this!" She snickered, "I won't work for the WMCO any more, at least for Nyx's sake!"
