"You arrogant little…"
I dashed forward as Riyu charged at me. If someone was going to get the first hit, it'll be me.
There's no way I'd give him the chance on landing an attack on me this time. I've been through more fights and probably learned a thing or two.
Claaash! Pow! Pow!
I looked as my metal sword clashed against an invisible barrier, creating little sparks. I dashed back.
This power, I grit my teeth. This damm cheater, he activated a force field and blocked my attack.
Damn it, since when did he recieved a skill like that? My eyes then widened as the thought hit me. I grit my teeth, looking at the teenager in front of me.
It's not that he didn't owned the skill before. He has always had it, even during our first battle.
"So, you were holding back."
Judging by the silence, seems like I was right. He was underestimating me. The kid looked at me as if he was looking at a pathetic beggar on the street.
His hand tightening around his wand, letting our a smirk before he charges at me again. His swift movements were impressive, it was like the both of us had improved ever since our first encounter.
My eyes widened in shock as his face was inches away from mine just in a blink of an eye.
"Don't want to break an old man's back now, do I?"
Before I could react, a surge of powerful energy pierced through my stomach, sending me flying.
I quickly grabbed onto the ground as my body gets pushed back. I looked at the cunning teenager then took a leap into the air, charging straight at him with my sword.
"one."
I looked at him, a but confused. As I get closer and closer to Riyu, I realized something was wrong. My eyes widened, trying to dash backwards but it was too late.
As my sword pierced the boy's heart, a black colored liquid then poured out, I groaned, looking as the liquid wraped around my body tightly.
The substance wasn't just wrapping me tightly either, while it tightened around me, it also left the same type of burn marks the wolves gave me.
He looked at me and smirked before whispering.
"Two."
Damn it, I'm sure of it, this is the dame liquid that he used to control the wolves with, or at least, gave it to them.
As I struggled, trying to escape like a fish in a net, a voice spoke up from behind me before I could feel the wind moves.
He was right behind me. I grit my teeth, using my legs, I tried and trip him down. The boy swiftly dodged my attack, swinging his blade and wounded my shoulder.
I looked at him in surprise as he dashed backwards after landing a hit. Didn't he killed me so quickly last time we fought?
"Three."
My eyes widened when the liquid around me tightened even harder, leaving burn marks all over me.
It was as if the substance was trying to pop me open by squeezing me. But how is he going to kill me this way? These things were painful for sure but there's no way it could…
"Activate."
As I realized what was wrong, I tried grabbing my sword and sliced the substance apart, escaping from it's grasp.
I dashed away from the area as Riyu's wand shined a purple glow and lit the substance on fire. My eyes widened, just a second later and I would've been dead.
I clenched my fists and grit my teeth before muttering a few words.
"You punk."
I let out a groan after the fire burned my skin. Trying to soften the flame, I tried patting it with a piece of cloth. Ignoring the pain, I held tightly onto my sword, swinging it at him.
As the blade got closer to the boy, he dashed away from it making his weapon reflect a bit of light. My eyes widened slightly as something in his wand that shined.
It had a moonlight glow to it and shaped like a crystal shard… if I had to take a guess, it was the core that's maintaining his weapon.
If I could find a way to break the core. Maybe I'll be able to win against him. It might be something else but I can't seem to think of an answer, for now that thing is going to be my target.
I took a leap into the air, stabbing Riyu in the shoulder when he was distracted. The kid looked at me with widened eyes that was filled with hatred and anger as if I murdered his family tree.
"Get off me you little…!"
As he pointed his wand at my and summoned weapons to push me off of him, I could see the same glow again from the little crystal shard. Seems like it is the core…
I looked at the weapon in front of me, sighing. While I was looking at the way the shard worked, he was already done with summoning the weapon.
I looked as they came charging at me, pushing me backwards and creating a huge hole in the ground.
I looked at him, coughing up a bit of blood. I looked at the kid. He was a young soul that was corrupted by the game system.
I closed my eyes before turning on my skill. The kid didn't deserve to be punished by having to live this life.
「??? Looks at you with pity.」
「The scenario overseer is in activation!」
What the hell? What is this skill… before I could think about it, a sword came flying my way along with Riyu and another blade he was holding.
My eyes widened, turning my sword sideways to block his attack. I looked as the blade got closer and closer towards my neck. Making a touch decision, i grit my teeth and let go of the sword.
I dashed away, looking as the unbalanced force between Riyu and the sword caused him to crash into the wall.
There was no way I could beat him yet, I need to overwork him a bit to lower his strength and stamina before I start my move.
Now that he's a little distracted, I can find somewhere to hide for the meantime. I took a deep breath, remembering about the skill I've just recieved.
"What the hell is a scenario overseer?"
Now to think about it, isn't that what dokkaebis do? There must be a piece of rhe puzzle that I missed…
I sat there for a while before snapping myself out of the thought. Damn it, Gyungho, what are you doing?! You're in a middle of a battle, you might die any moment from now.
Just to make sure I was safe and Riyu was still finding me somewhere else, I took a peek outside and shocked myself.
My eyes widened as Riyu stood up from the ground without a single scratch. He looked even more furious than before.
I quickly pulled myself back behind the wall, I had no intentions of dying today, I might as well run now…
"Damn it, old man. Quit playing around."
Crunch… crunch..
I looked around, grabbing onto the wall while searching for Gyungho after he ran away. He's hiding like a damn rodent…
Though, I must say, the guy did peaked my interest. I've never met someone like him before, I wonder what's special about him.
Gyungho looked and act like an ordinary man with nothing interesting at all but there was something within him that's calling out to the fragment I held.
The man was able to survive my attack when we first fought. From that, he was able to grow and I could even say he's soon as strong as me.
I stood still for a second, if I thought about it a bit more, something about him is off. He's always so calm at sickening situations that nobody could endure, not even me.
How could someone like him adapt so quickly to a world like this? Could this relate to the fragment? I stood there, wiping the blood off of my head and thought.
"Could there be a possibility where the fragment that's supporting my weapon be his?"
I shook his head, there were no way he could be that powerful. I guess I kind of wish he was on my side instead of the sheep.
Damn it, only if he stop pissing me off like my sister then I wouldn't have to do this. Can you just stop hiding and fight me?
I want to see the new you. I want to see if you really are the owner of this crystal fragment.
The area around us didn't even have that many hiding spots so where the hell could he be hiding?!
I guess I had no choice but to play dirty then. I looked down at my weapon, activating it's power.
「Divine Moonlight activated!
All living beings within the radius of 100M will now be able to enter your realm outside of the game for 5 minutes!」
"Playtime's over for you, petty rodent."
As I turned on the ability, I could feel as the pure light shined upon me, lending me a bit of it's power. I looked at my weapon, it was ready for battle.
With the power I have combined with the moonlight that was lent to me, I was able to use this skill properly now.
For now, I think it might be the smartest option to not use too much of the power lent by the moon. For all I know, Gyungho could've ran away like a scared chicken already.
If the rodent actually participate in this then I might use my full strength to fight him seriously. I smirked, it was what he wanted after all.
「The moon's blessing has granted you the power to use skills to it's maximum without losing any of your energy!」
"Activate."
「Calling of the moon is now in activation!」
I looked as the surrounds around me get submerged in a black ink-like environment, Gyungho was now trapped in this space.
I looked around, trying to find him. Seems like he was hiding again. I smirked, damn it old man, how could you still hide in a place like this?
"Summon."
Surrounding me was a barrier of over a thousand weapons of all sorts. Bows and arrows, blades, knifes even spears.
"Hold."
I looked as the aura of the moonlight surrounded them. I looked around for the last time to make sure that Gyungho was still hiding.
"Try surviving this."
I smirked, looking up at the ceiling of nothing but darkness. I took in a deep breath, in this space, everything was mine to control.
I looked down at the fragment that was glowing with the moon's power. I smirked, I'll give you what you want then Gyungho.
I raised my wand as it glowed brightly.
"release."
