When I got back inside of the main game, everywhere I went, all I could hear were whispers, murmurs and people mentioning about my return.
"The wolf is back, be careful…"
"Keep the kids away from him!"
"Our savior caught the wolf! She'll save us!"
Everywhere I went, I could see the same disgust washed over everyone's faces or rubbing mud on my name. I took a deep breath, if I try and do anything recklessly, it'll just make them doubt me even more.
I need them to be on my side not the wolf's side. I can't let anyone die, not anymore.
"He must have some guts to show up here again… so much humiliation."
I gritted my teeth and clenchedd my fists, what the hell was up with these people? Are these the same people I saved during the first game?
"He's so selfish, he'll murder us all to be alive!"
There was no way these two-faced jerks are the same people I've met… I looked over st Aiko who's still walking calmy with a bright smile on her face.
Everywhere she walked, the crowd spilt in half to make way for her like a servant obeying their master.
"Ladies! Gentlemen! I'm back."
"Lady Aiko! What are you doing with that wolf behind you?!"
"Yeah, be careful, it might kill you!"
I looked at Aiko's expression. She's clearly enjoying this isn't she? What's with her and seeing me get bashed with filthy words?
And on top of that, as if it wasn't bad enough… that little cunning girl got my hands chained up. I can't see how it's helping with the situation.
Does she thinks doing this will make them trust me more? They don't look like they feel safer around me either.
The young girl held onto my chain, leading me in to the middle of the crowd. She then turned around, trying to gather everyone's attention.
As Aiko was about to speak again, a familiar figure stepped out from the crowd, his smile filled with fake enthusiasm and stepped up to where Aiko was standing.
"Oh my god! It's Riyu!"
"He's here to save us!"
"Both of the twins are here, this is amazing news!"
I looked as the crowd erupted in joy as soon as he waved his hand like a leader in front of his army. This kid was really influential isn't he?
After a few seconds of scanning the crowd, seems like he noticed the rest of the group. I looked as his eyes slightly widened at the sight of seeing Mary, a smirk creeping up his face.
He then looked over to me standing next to Aiko. His eyes widened in shock, his expression a bit serious before calming down.
I mean, I couldn't blame him either, I was supposed to be dead. I looked back at the young man who was still shocked.
Riyu then shook his head and looked back at the crowd. He then put in that fake smile and started shouting so everyone could hear.
"Calm down! I'm here now."
As soon as the words left his mouth, the crowd quickly silenced, leaving only a few whispers and murmurs left.
He then turned to Aiko and whispered something in her ear. It must've been something personal… her face looked horrified.
The girl looked at me then gritted her teeth and let out a warm smile as well before talking.
"Yes, good afternoon to everyone. I'd like to announce our success of capturing the real wolf."
My eyes widened in shock as the words left Aiko's mouth. This wasn't what we've planned. What the hell did that guy say to her to change her mind?
I looked up at Riyu who was walking closer towards me. He looked over to the crowd, making sure Aiko's speech was distracting them before kicking me down to the ground and dragged me away to a quiet corner.
The kid then looked down at me who was struggling to take off the handcuffs. He then let out a loud psychotic laugh before grabbing my hair and glared at me straight in my eyes.
「All-seeing eye had successfully bypassed the system's Disabled settings ! 」
What the hell? Not only were there a wolf to take care of, some unknown power source that might wipe me off this planet and now to top it all off, my skill is able to cancel the system's settings!?
I could feel a chilly feeling running down my spine. Will I really become that Gyungho? That isn't the future I want. Can't I pick a different path?
「All-seeing eye has finished gathering information about the actor Riyu Kagami! 」
My eyes were glued onto the skill's loading skill, forgetting about Riyu who was probably rambling on about something that I didn't pay attention to.
"Oi, are you too expired that you lost your hearing senses?"
I looked at the arrogant kid in front of me. I gritted my teeth, just a bit longer... I'll be able to find out if he's actually a wolf.
「All-seeing eye has finished gathering information about the actor Riyu Kagami!
Now transferring data. . . 」
As the data given by my skill transferred into my body, I could feel my life force decreasing quickly.
I could feel blood starting to drip from my nose due to the excessive use of the skill.
Information about Riyu was overflowing in my head to the point I want to question whether I'm really Han Gyungho or am I Riyu Kagami.
I stood up, looking at the kid in front of me and couldn't help but feel bad. He would've been a normal teenager, having time to spend with his friends and study then get a job.
But all that was destroyed by the game system. Now he had to fight for his life and take care of his little sister as well.
He deserved the mercy, the kid was strong enough to live this long after all. I smirked, looking at the last line of the information I was given.
The blue skill screen was shining brightly as if it was a key to my victory.
「…Attributes given by the system: Wolf's Claws(temporary), Pack Leader(temporary), Persuasion(temporary)」
I closed the tab and looked back at Riyu whose face looked frustrated and a bit confused.
I can't judge him, this skill took up quite a lot of energy and if I didn't have enough, I had to replace it with a tad bit of my physical strength to make up for the difference.
I let out a smirk, finally, I got you now, you cunning wolf. After all this trouble, getting sent to a nightmare of some sort with my physical state intact, meeting myself, I've finally caught the wolf.
Mary, Chin-hae and Aiko too for some reason, you did well. I'll take care of the rest from here, you guys, just stay back.
"Hello? I'm done playing nice with you."
"Really? It sounds like you've been drinking muddy water and spitting it out at me right now."
I looked as Riyu's face got red in anger, his fists clenching together. Only God knows what the hell I might go through again this time.
The young man chatged at me, grabbing me by the collar, he glared at me intensely. As I grit my teeth, my eyes widened as I noticed something.
His body, it was changing slightly. I can see his pupils getting sharper, his eyes now have a bright red tint to it as if blood just splashed on to his face.
Damn it, I'm so dead. Oht of all the time he could've picked to begin a transformation and rip me apart, it had to be now.
"I don't know how you're still alive, I know for a fact that I've pierced through your heart and watched you die."
He stopped for a second, his body growing rapidly. He then picked me up, throwing me directly into a thick concrete wall before shouting loudly.
"But I know for a fact, I'll beat you into a pulp all over again, Gyungho. You'll never be as strong as me."
"Hyuuk! Gkaah…"
His power and energy is increasing at an incredible speed. Though thanks to that throw, the handcuffs Aiko put on me a while back are now broken.
My eyes widened in shock as he summoned a weapon. Am I in a dream? I thought that skill was only available in dreams.
His weapon shined brightly, it didn't looked too harmful judging by the blunt shape… the wand he was holding has weird symbols on them.
"You little rodents are so frustrating aren't you?"
Riyu pointed his wand at me. It had a moon symbol on it. I can sense a strong but pure force of energy coming from the weapon… was this what I've been sensing about the twins?
I grit my teeth, dashing dorwards while gripping tightly onto ny blade.
"I'll show you how a rat bite back a snake like you."
I smirked, taking a leap into the air.
"Don't hold back, show me your venom filled fangs."
