Chapter 14 - 14- Harvest: Green Jade Pendant and Xiantian technique..

Facing a Xiantian master, Chen Feng dared not afford to be careless. He had to kill him if he could.

No one knew what the opponent might do next, so emptying the magazine was a precaution.

Chen Feng unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a dented bulletproof vest underneath.

It was this vest that had allowed him to block Jiang Xiao's energizing attack. Without it, the opponent's energy would have penetrated directly into his body.

Once inside, even if the energy didn't kill him, he would have been crippled.

  The money was well spent.

Chen Feng searched Jiang Xiao's body, collected all his belongings, and then dragged his injured body down the mine.

The bandits from the Xingfeng Sect had vanished without a trace. Only a few corpses remained.

Wang Hu sat on the ground, his face pale. Seeing Chen Feng approach, he immediately crawled towards him.

  "Master!"

Wang Hu was in even worse shape than Chen Feng. His blood had been drained dry, and his head felt flat.

If he weren't a warrior, he would have died long ago.

"Are you alright?" Chen Feng asked with concern.

He hadn't expected to implicate Wang Hu. He had just seen everything through the scope.

The boy was quite loyal to him.

"I'm not dead. I'll be fine after a while of rest. Are you alright, Sect Master?"

  "I'm fine."

Chen Feng then looked over to He Sandao, who lay on the ground in the distance. He realized He Sandao was still breathing, his eyes open, staring at him.

He had survived being shot through the chest with his sniper rifle; his vitality was extraordinary.

He Sandao spoke weakly, "I was careless. I underestimated you!"

Chen Feng ignored him and pointed his sniper rifle at his head.

  He Sandao burst into laughter.

"Chen Feng, I'll be waiting for you down there. If you kill Jiang Xiao, the Jiang family will not let you go. You won't survive more than a few days."

He Sandao didn't beg for mercy, knowing it was futile.

Although they had only been in contact for a short time, Chen Feng's behavior made it clear that he was someone who would pose no threat to him if he had been more careful.

At that moment, he was filled with hatred and regret. Regret for underestimating Chen Feng. If he had been more careful, waiting in the dark, he wouldn't have ended up like this.

Hatred for his men, if they had been more united, Chen Feng wouldn't have won. But it was too late now.

He was too brutal, resulting in few loyal subordinates, who all ran away at the first sign of trouble.

It was Chen Feng's sniper rifle that frightened the bandits; the unknown was the most terrifying.

Ignoring He Sandao's words, Chen Feng pulled the trigger, blowing He Sandao's head off at close range, completely dead.

After killing He Sandao, Chen Feng searched his body again.

"See if you have anything that can heal wounds,"

Chen Feng said, pulling out the items he had found from the two innate masters. There were many bottles and jars.

He didn't know much about the elixirs and other such things in this world.

Wang Hu sniffed a few jars of elixirs, then said, "These are for healing injuries, and the others are for assisting with cultivation." Wang Hu selected a few.

Chen Feng poured the elixirs from the bottles, gave some to Wang Hu, and took a few himself. As soon as the elixirs entered his mouth, he felt the pain in his body ease significantly.

He had bought many elixirs in the Scroll World and even sold them in the modern world.

But none of them had such immediate effects. The items of an innate master were extremely valuable.

Chen Feng noticed that Wang Hu, holding the elixirs, hadn't taken them.

"Why aren't you using them?" Chen Feng asked.

Wang Hu said weakly, "Master, these elixirs are used by innate masters and are extremely precious. I'll just use ordinary elixirs."

Wang Hu seemed reluctant to use them.

Chen Feng said sternly, "Just use it if I tell you to. Don't you even listen to me?"

Hearing Chen Feng's words, Wang Hu swallowed the pill, his complexion instantly brightening.

Chen Feng began to count the items he had obtained from the two Xiantian masters.

Besides the pills, there were also some techniques. Two of them were Xiantian techniques: the Blood Demon Sword Technique and the Xuan Huang Gong.

The Blood Demon Sword Technique was a magical technique that relied on absorbing human blood to increase the internal Qi, while the Xuan Huang Gong was much more conventional, a breathing technique.

However, this breathing technique also required a solid foundation as a warrior.

Chen Feng planned to try it later to see if he could practice it. In reality, he still desired the techniques of the immortals.

Wang Hu then said, "Master, the Xuan Huang Gong is the famous technique of the jiang family. It can be cultivated all the way to the late Xiantian stage."

  Wang Hu clearly recognized it.

Chen Feng tossed the Xuan Huang Gong in front of Wang Hu, "Practice with it first. As for the Blood Demon Sword Technique, forget it; it's unethical."

  "This..." Wang Hu was stunned.

This was an innate technique, and every innate technique was incredibly precious.

For a casual cultivator like Wang Hu, reaching the ninth level of the acquired realm in their lifetime was already the pinnacle.

Reaching the innate realm was practically impossible, primarily because they lacked the innate technique.

"Why, are you worried about retaliation from the Jiang family?" Chen Feng asked, seeing Wang Hu stunned.

Wang Hu immediately shook his head.

"Master, I'm not afraid of retaliation from the Jiang family. It's just that this technique is so precious, I..."

Wang Hu was at a loss for words.

Chen Feng had so casually given him such a precious technique, leaving him somewhat bewildered.

"Don't worry, practice well. If you can reach the innate realm, you'll be able to help me even more."

Chen Feng patted Wang Hu's shoulder.

After this incident, Chen Feng truly trusted Wang Hu.

"Thank you, Master. Wang Hu will certainly live up to your trust." Wang Hu didn't refused again.

Chen Feng then spotted a jade pendant among the pile of items. It had been obtained from Jiang Xiao.

The jade pendant was dark green, palm-sized, and covered in a series of strange patterns.

"What is this?" Chen Feng asked Wang Hu.

  "I don't know."

Wang Hu didn't recognize the jade pendant either. Chen Feng began to examine it carefully, discovering nothing inside besides a faint blue glow.

He put the pendant away, intending to return to the modern world to study it further.

Chen Feng said to Wang Hu, "Find a place to heal your wounds. Stay out of sight for a few days to prevent retaliation from the Black Wind Village."

The Xingfeng Sect was now deserted. Almost all the warriors had been killed, and any survivors had fled.

They were the only two left in the entire sect, and both were injured. If the Black Wind Village bandits came for revenge, they would die if they stayed here.

Chen Feng only had one grenade left, and his ammunition was running low.

"Master, are you leaving? You're not coming with me?"

Wang Hu was surprised that Chen Feng would let him heal alone.

"I need to be away for a few days. I'll be back to see you later."

Chen Feng was ready to return to the modern world. Even though he had taken the elixir, he still felt uneasy.

Broken ribs definitely needed to be checked out by the hospital.

If he hadn't taken so many stamina-boosting pills over the past year or so, he would have fainted from the pain of his broken ribs.

"Okay, then I'll stay nearby to heal and wait for the Sect Master to return!" Wang Hu didn't ask any further questions. He never questioned Chen Feng's decisions.

After agreeing on a place and time for their next meeting, Chen Feng returned to the secret room and then to the modern world.
