While I was busy petting the lamb, I suddenly felt a strange sensation as if someone's eyes were fixed on me. I turned my head slightly, and there he was.
Oh my God... that guy was a masterpiece.
How could someone look that good? For a moment, I forgot to breathe. But then I noticed his expression - intense, almost deadly. Why was he looking at me like he wanted to kill someone?
He parted his lips, maybe to say something, but before he could, someone snatched the lamb from my hands. My attention shifted instantly to the man holding it. I looked at him and at the lamb in his grip. He was the owner."Where are you taking this lamb?" I asked, trying to sound calm.
But honestly, how could I focus on anything else? That face... that look... ugh! I coughed softly, trying to get my attention back to lamb's owner. The lamb's owner glanced between the two of us, clearly confused.
"I was going to sell it to the butcher," he said casually.
"What?" My eyes widened.
For a second, I just stood there, frozen. Then my words came tumbling out. "No! I don't want this lamb to get killed. It's not like I've never eaten lamb before, but this one is just so small... and so cute."I turned to the owner firmly. "I want to buy it. Tell me the price."
He looked puzzled, but before he could answer, Xiaomei appeared beside me. I told her I wanted the lamb, and without hesitation, she paid the man.
And just like that - I had my cute little lamb.
But the handsome guy... he was still staring.
That same piercing gaze, like he was trying to read my mind.
I looked back at him. I didn't like it - the way he was staring at me like I had done something wrong.
He stood right there, in the middle of the road, completely still. I crossed my arms. "Hmm? What are you looking Haven't you ever seen a beautiful girl before?"He raised an eyebrow - like he was questioning my sanity.
"Don't you know it's not right to stop your horse in the middle of the road?" I went on, unable to stop myself. "People are suffering because of you!"
Meanwhile, Xiaomei kept tugging at my sleeve, trying to get my attention. I ignored her until I finally turned and whispered, "What?"
She gestured for me to stop talking.
I narrowed my eyes at her, then looked back at him. He looked annoyed now and honestly, he had every reason to be. I hadn't even let him speak. Before I could say another word, he finally broke the silence.
"Stop... just stop right there," he said, his voice low but sharp. "Are you even in your senses?"His words were filled with pure anger - sharp and cold. He was angry at me, and I honestly had no idea why. What did I even do? But the way he spoke to me... that tone... I hated it. If he talked to me like that again, I swear I'd cry on the spot.
Then he said it again, his voice firm and emotionless,
"You're under arrest."
Those words hit me like a rock.
Under arrest? For what? What the hell did I even do? I just bought a lamb - nothing else!
Xiaomei tried to say something, her voice trembling, but before she could, two men suddenly appeared. Without a word, they
grabbed me and start tieing my hands with rough ropes.I was too shocked to react. Everything felt unreal, like I was trapped in some horrible dream. My heart pounded, my mind refused to believe what was happening. All those twenty two years of my life in my word I was the person who abide all the laws. So that I can never end up in jail and here just by buying lamb I am going to jail.
He ignored all of Xiaomei's desperate pleas, didn't even glance her way. With a cold expression, he turned and walked ahead while the two men dragged me behind him.
They took me to what I could only guess was a police station. The men they looked more like guards than officers - shoved me inside without saying a single word. Then they threw me into a small, dark cell. The sound of the metal door slamming shut echoed in my ears. That's when everything started to feel real. I was in jail.
I fell to the floor, the cold concrete biting against my knees. Tears welled up in my eyes and spilled over before I could stop them. My chest tightened as I sobbed helplessly.
Why me? Why did I have to be here in the first place? What did I do wrong?
My thoughts spun wildly. I could still hear his voice echoing in my head - calm, powerful, and cruel.
Now this bastard had actually thrown me in jail.
