Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: These peaceful days

Looking at the battered Sushang (Self-Inflicted) Qin Shaoqing couldn't help but sigh.

She has talent sure, but to call her a genius would be an overstatement.

Sometimes she gets things right away but other times no matter how many time you drill her head she just won't get it.

But then again, his expectation was within the eyes of a short-lived being, Sushang had gotten to where she's at now by training over the course of 100 years. For them a week is merely a speck of dust in their very long lives.

Playing with that thought, Qin Shaoqing couldn't help to look at his own body and wonder 'Is this body a long-lived body or my original body.'

Though his body is exactly the same as the one from earth maybe that dog system pulled a few strings to give him a long living body.

Ptooy, ptooy, what is he thinking, that dog system only granted him powers that only saves his image, what does he hope from such a dysfunctional system like his.

Stopping his train of thought he looked back on the grounded Sushang.

"What are you doing, Playing dead now?"

"Ughhh" Sushang who finally rose from her near-death state looked at her teacher in despair "Teacher, this training is too intense!"

"Of course this will be difficult, who do you think I am, a yoga instructor!" Qin Shaoqing lightly knocked on Sushang's head "Each stance embodied the essence of an aeon, if one simply can copy an aeon's power in a singular practice then nobody will care much about the concept of aeons."

"Wait, Is that true!" Sushang who struggled to move before felt invigorated to practice more.

Of course these are just lies made by Qin Shaoqing, he didn't even think of aeons when he made this technique but using aeons as a motivator should be good enough.

What? Think lying is bad? check the source, oh! too bad, I AM the source.

And even if Sushang had reached the peak of this technique, Qin Shaoqing would be long dead by old age or angry mobs who he swindled in the past.

Then again, if Sushang did some isolated cultivation, it would help to nail down the concept of each stance to a degree and it would help with her understanding of each stance.

Many thoughts roamed Qin Shaoqing's mind never realizing that his previous life of lying is now turned to him agonizing how to teach this fool of a girl in a matter of a week.

As the sun sets Qin Shaoqing bid Sushang farewell.

Returning to his residence, Qin Shaoqing tried to summon an orange yet failed.

Looking at his storage he saw the once full crate of orange was now empty, leaving him with only orange peels and an empty box.

Ever since losing his reputation, and his job Qin Shaoqing had been relying on his abundance of food he had stored to get by but now he has no choice to find a job soon or start burning his savings.

'Sigh, the grind of society never change.' Qin Shaoqing sat down on his bed to start considering what job is available.

Cloud knight is an obvious no, beside his drain ability his combat is just for show and his previous misgiving with a Cloud knight officer.

Jobs that also requires to be in public is also a no go as it would increase the chance of being recognized, never mind Cloud knight, the angry mobs he swindled before will quickly shot him down.

Qin Shaoqing continue to think for a long time, yet his criteria quickly eliminated all the common jobs, but then his eyes wandered into his bedside table which was filled with scribbles of scrapped ideas and writings of the Ever-Flowing Sword.

"Writing.. hmm, maybe I'll try it" Qin Shaoqing quickly sat on his chair and grabbed a pair of fresh pen and book.

In The Loufu, there is several long-lived creatures yet most lived peacefully, never witnessing a battlefield, so most turned to entertainment to spend their days. One popular attraction was storytelling and novels.

Thinking of what to write, a material came to mind which made his lips curl. 'I'm sure my disciple won't mind'

Deciding not to dwell on it anymore Qin Shaoqing went to write in the dead of night. Several days passed where Qin Shaoqing woke up, train Sushang, write till midnight and slept.

The days were peaceful but such a schedule took a toll on Qin Shaoqing due to the lack of sleep and Sushang who noticed the growing bags under his eyes couldn't help but worry.

But after three month finally passed and countless revision and contacts with a publisher, his work was finally done.

Looking at the finished script, he quickly mailed it to the publisher for evaluation and after several days, his work was approved and now it has moved onto productions.

.....

One particular afternoon.

Sushang and Guanaifen strolled around the street of Central Starskiff Haven, while chatting they overheard a man advertising.

"New release! Read the tales of an relenquenting love between a cloud knight bound by a strict family and a short-lived commoner who has nothing to her name, will their love become true or will it turn into tragedy, read and find out!"

Such titles attracted several people, and it quickly turned into a swarm who was curious about the book.

Seeing the crowding people Sushang and Guanaifen decided to check it out but after looking at the cover both their faces turned black.

On the cover, there was a long haired cloud knight with a girlish yet steady charm holding hand with a red haired girl who seemed enchanted by the other party's look.

"This is..."

"Umm, w-wait I think this is just a coincidence right?" Guanaifen tried to reassure herself and open the contents in the book which made their face turn deep red.

....

On a quiet afternoon in a courtyard, Qin Shaoqing was particularly happy as much of the profit has already covered the money he spent from his savings.

He was hoping it would be semi-successful but having gained this much has surprised him.

Sipping a cup of tea, Qin Shaoqing seriously considered to create a second volume to ride with the waves.

'Ah, here they come.' Qin Shaoqing put down his tea and watched the door to his courtyard bursted open with two figure blocking the way.

"MASTEERRR!!!!" The Wind chimed near him trembled before settling down.

"Q-QIN SHAOQING, H-How dare you!!" Guanaifen who was equally embarrassed joined the ruckus, both had a deep blush on their face as they screamed at him. "I thought you were a good guy b-but to think of such things about your disciple, you rogue!"

Guanaifen who was deeply embarrassed pulled dynamites from who knows where an began to light them "Such corrupted soul will only redeemed by death!"

"W-Wait, L-Lighting S-Such stuff for violence things is a crime." Sushang tried to stop Guanaifen.

'Ah, such quiet times.' Qin Shaoqing said in his heart.
