"Mother! I want to be a Cloud Knight!" A daughter who barely looked 10 years old said in fervor.
"Dear, why do you want to become a Cloud knight?" Her mother, a Cloud knight herself asked.
"Because I want to become a legendary swordswoman!" Sushang showed her mother a child picture book called "Legend of the silver wind"
The book, itself contained a story about a swordsman on a quest to find The Silver Wind, along the way he found many setbacks and difficulties that honed his sword skills until he became unrivaled throughout the galaxy.
Though the book never explicitly told the reader what exactly The Silver Wind is, some speculate it to be a legendary scroll that said to be able to control the four winds, other say it is a sword that can create storms from a single swing, or even a peerless fairy waiting for a worthy swordsman to take her hand.
And the protagonist, the swordsman who relentlessly searched for The Silver Wind didn't know himself what it truly is. Once someone asked why he searched for such an elusive thing only to be answered by a smile.
"I search not for the goal, only the meaning of the gravel I travel upon." In the end he did not find The Silver Wind, which left many readers enraged towards the author.
The authenticity of the story remained unanswered even till now, and many believed its merely created by a storyteller to boast about his adventures, but the little Sushang paid no attention such matter.
Her mother only smiled at her response, and accepted little sushang as a disciple.
Even though she was her mother, she did not spare her daughter from the gruesome training, along with it she discipline her about her manner, expression, and what she can and can't do.
"To be a Cloud knight is to hold the sky itself and protect the citizen from injustice."
"Remember, one good deed and reflect on oneself three time every day."
"To raise the blade is to know what you are fighting for, while your ideas about being a legend is admirable, you will soon need to find another reason to truly steel your determination."
"Find another reason hmm." The young Sushang who was reliving her mother's teaching muttered to herself, even after all these years she couldn't find another reason.
Even years can weather stones, and Sushang who always kept looking for her reason to raise her sword couldn't help but falter.
One day she asked her mother one more time where to find it, only to be met with a gentle smile "Dear, one cannot find reason to fight easily, the day will come I'm sure of it, just wait for a little longer."
"Junior Sushang you are called to investigate a suspicions situation is currently happening in a loading dock of Central Starskiff Haven." A Senior Cloud knight called Sushang who was in deep thought.
"Uh- ah! Y- Yes Captain!" Sushang hurriedly retrieved her sword, and followed her captain.
Soon a small squad formed and they soon deployed towards the location.
As they ran, the squad captain fill them on what happened.
Apparently the received a mysterious phone call, and they overheard a suspicious exchange between two parties.
What alarmed them was the word of "Disciples of Sanctus Medicus" which is a nefarious Sect that worshiped Yaoshi and in many event became a thorn on the Loufu's side.
This word alone was enough to make the high office to form a small squad to investigate the situation.
before long with their fast pace, they arrived at the location and upon seeing several transformed disciples of Sanctus Medicus they didn't hesitate to charge forward, not letting these people get away is their first priority.
Sushang, charged herself to get between these clearly terrified merchants.
As she clashed with one of the disciples she couldn't help but to cast a worried glance at the man who was closest to the big disciples who seemed to be the leader.
Seeing the leader slashed at the man, she panicked, almost making a miss step in dodging a slash from her opponent.
Looking at the side again, expecting a dead body, her whole body froze in shock to see an exchange she almost couldn't recognize.
Several figures of the same man could be seen moving erratically, and each created their own steps, yet every time the disciple slashed at one, they dissipate into the wind.
'Are you my Silver Wind?' Sushang who became mesmerized couldn't help but ask.
Seeing the frozen Sushang, her opponents didn't miss his chance and slashed at Sushang's neck.
"Sushang focus!" Her Senior reminded her, while dealing with his own share of opponents.
His shout broke Sushang's trance, which made her able to raise her sword clumsily managing to block the strike.
Qin Shaoqing who was solely focusing on the fast incoming blades, couldn't spare any attention to the new eyes.
"Sir Cheng, how about going to a gardener together, I'm sure some of those wild leaves and branches can be trimmed up a bit, I know a guy, I'll recommend them to you." Qin Shaoqing's taunt made the enraged Cheng Cheng even more furious.
"SHUT UP YOU @#!@@#!!" Cheng Cheng's slashes became more erratic and faster yet more predictable.
Facing such a furious opponents, his mind is filled with nothing more than to kill Qin, creating a blinded foe with rage.
'A chance' Seeing an opening Qin Shaoqing formed an open palm and struck true to his opponent's chest.
Activating his drain ability, his palm instantly became engulfed in green flame and began draining his opponent's yang energy.
Feeling as if being drained of strength, Cheng's knee buckled and kneeled before finally collapsing on the group.
"Phew, here some anger management medicines, no charges, consider a gift between friends." Qin Shaoqing winked at the collapsed Cheng who was staring at him with bloodshot eyes.
Looking at the other Cloud knights taking care of the rest, he saw no use joining the fight.
After absorbing Cheng Cheng's vitality, Qin Shaoqing felt as if his whole body has been rejuvenated, he felt he could moves mountains with his bare hands.
Taking a deep breath, he felt the air becoming more clearer, his mind became faster, and his eyes could track everything.
'It's addicting' Qin Shaoqing's mind screamed for him to absorb more but he shook those feelings away. If he started going around and mindlessly draining everyone's vitality, he'll be hunted by the whole of Loufu.
Waiting for the Cloud knight to finish fighting, he stood near the group of merchants who had been quiet this entire time.
"Thank you." The leader of the merchants came beside him and expressed his gratitude. "The Golden Road association will never forget the action you did for us."
"No problem, I was tailing these guys for a bit and saw trouble brewing, I'm simply doing what any good-willed citizen would do."
"Haha, Senior Qin Shaoqing is too humble, I'm sure such valiant soul as yourself is few and far between."
