I was at the garden's pond feeding the ducks up with my bread when my brother Kianne approched me from behind, I felt a cold stare behind my back I turn around to see Kianne looking down at me with a glare.
"I heard the Duke from the North asked father for you hand." He asked with a cold tone in his voice, I nodded looking up at him. His jaw clenched visible that he is annoyed, "Do father even know how ruthless the Duke is?"
I shrug, of course father knew it, it's just... That? Father owed the Duke and will grant everything he ask for, so that father didn't hesitate to give my hand away to the ruthless man to the far land.
He sigh "When will you travel to meet the Duke himself?" He asked, his eyes softens at me. "Within 3 days, father already made up a choice that I will meet the Duke."
I stood up fixing my skirt, The Duke's name is Ezekiel Castillo and has a rumor between me and him, that his been eyeing me for years. I remembered Elleonora met Issac when they're still very young, and Issac grew interest to her.
Kianne ran his hand through his hair, "Well that's unfortunate." I shrugged acting like I'd ont care BUT no I'm scared and horrified, who will not be horrified when you're a character who will be abused to your husband in the future. You can't change the plot neither fate is fate, you have no choice but to accept it.
"Do i even have a choice? If I obeyed father I will be in trouble." I respond with a frustrated tone in my voice, he nodded "Fair enough, I can't fight back to father as well." He replied while shrugging.
Silence grew deeper to our conversation, I felt awkward still don't know what to say "I..." I was about to say a word when Kianne opened his mouth "I guess I have things to do now, Elleonora I'll be at my quarter if you need something." I nodded understanding that his a busy person and need time to finish up works, he excused himself and walk away.
"Well that wasn't so bad?" I muttered down my breath sighing in relief that Kianne didn't asked for a fight nor annoyed me. At least he didn't.
I was walking down the hallway when my father's assistant Felix Gallardo known in Elleonora's state to be the most smartest assistant in other previous assistants, "Lady Elleonora, Your fiance Issac Castillo arrived and now was waiting for you at the lounge."
"I-... I'll be there." I nodded dismissing him, as he left me standing alone feeling shocked. "Huh!?" I thought i was the one whom will visit him? But is he that excited to see his fiance? Or just wants to toy with me?
I sigh regaining my composure, I head down the living room finding my father and Issac sitting across each other. "Father?" Father glanced at me and gestured to sit beside Issac, I nodded and sat done next to him.
I look at Issac, and... Wow! He looks hotter than the game itself! His cold Peirce eyes, screaming dominance! And his sharp jawline can slice through my skin. I look down to check his body and look at that! He has this sexy body shape.
I was completely overwhelmed at his features never knew I'd marry such a man! That i not noticed his looking down at me.
"Enjoying the view?" He smirked at me, my father cleared his throat trying to catch my attention I quickly snapped out of it and look at father. "So, do you plan on making the wedding ceremony till next week?" Next week!?
He nodded, "it'll be convenient to have my bride-to-be sleep next to me as soon as we get marry." He glanced at me his smirk grew bigger, I felt annoyed at his proposal.
"Your grace, let's... Not hurry up and prepare in a efficient way." He shooked his head at my offer, ugh! This jerk. "You'll be the duchess within a week, that is why I took a visit for you." I scoff, he does not even change in the game he was impatient and he is right now.
"Do you even know how long it took for me to arrived here? Lady Elleonora?" He asked as he glares at me, his voice contains annoyance and coldness. "I.. I don't know, your grace" I respond.
"It took me only 3 days to arrive here at the South, so I will be grateful if you do not comply with me." I nodded feeling intimidated by his presence, "I apologize, your grace." I look at him then looked away.
Father act like he didn't hear anything from the Duke because Issac has been impatient and wants things to be given to him now and now. "Very well then, the wedding ceremony will happen next week." Issac nodded feeling satisfied by my father's agreement.
"Since your grace is here, it's rather late now will you be staying here for the night? Your grace" father asked, I look at Issac and he nodded. "Yes, I will leave early in the morning since I have a journey to go back at my state." He respond.
Father nodded, "will you join a dinner with us later on?" Issac nodded, and father sigh feeling pleased that Issac will join later on with us. "That will be awesome!" I respond adding fake excitement with my tone, I smiled.
"Is my fiance excited to eat with me?" He look down grinning at me, I nodded feigning excitement in my eyes. "Yes, your grace!" My smiled got wider.
"Is that so?" He asked at me, and I nodded. "Then I want to try the South's meal, would that be bad, lady Elleonora?" I shooked my head "No, the foods here are great, your grace!" I respond with a sweet tone in my voice.
"That's a relief." He respond
