Chapter 5 - Haeuri Academy – Expanded Lore & Cultural Architecture

1. Prestigious Yet Hidden

> "It exists... but not fully. You don't find Haeuri—Haeuri finds you."

Public Facade: Prestigious, elite, arts-and-science-focused high school with low student visibility. People assume it's ultra-exclusive, like a chaebol-funded academy for genius misfits.

Private Reality: A convergence point for anomalies: cursed children, forgotten prodigies, and "those who walked too close to the in-between."

Twilight Shift: At sundown, hallways rearrange, rooms stretch, and glass reflects things that aren't there.

Even campus boundaries blur: Students may find the old dorm leads to a lake that wasn't there before.

Some areas can only be accessed during lunar alignments—like the sealed wing of the library that shows up once a month.

Rumor Among Locals:

> "That school on the hill? Kids who go there don't come back the same."

---

2. Admission Mystery

> "You don't choose Haeuri. It chooses."

Enrollment Enigma:

Students receive their invitation in black envelopes edged in ash gold, sealed with wax marked by a sun eclipsed by a crescent moon.

No signature. No explanation. Just a location, time, and phrase:

> "Where does the light split? Where does the night fade?"

Shadow Deliverer:

Many recipient reports seeing a silhouette—no features, just the impression of being watched.

Some get the letter after a traumatic event. Others? Just wake up with it in hand.

Temporal Loop Weirdness:

Some students vaguely recall always attending Haeuri, though they just enrolled.

One girl insists she graduated last year... but she's 16.

"Maybe you were meant to be here longer than you think."

---

3. Curriculum & Culture

> "The school teaches you. The building is sentient. The walls listen. And sometimes... they answer."

---

🕒 Day Classes (Veiled Knowledge)

Standard subjects—but every lesson is a veil hiding hidden meanings.

Subject| Supernatural Twist

Physics | Study of force, inertia, telekinesis, and energy threads between people.

Biology | Anatomy of non-human hybrids and parasitic traits of magical inheritance.

Literature | Interpretation of books that rewrite themselves based on the reader.

History | Erased kingdoms, warped timelines, and the "looped hour" phenomenon.

Students report their textbooks are different each time they open them, and class rosters include names of people no one can recall ever meeting.

---

Night Classes (Twilight Pavilion)

Held in detached halls—open-air pavilions that's only accessible at twilight (sunset to moonrise).

Classes are about power awakening, control, and emotional calibration.

Class Name | Description

"Art of the Rift" - Students create portals—some open memories, others nightmares.

"Balance Rituals" - Tests of duality—e.g., fight blindfolded while controlling both flame and frost.

"Obscura" - Learn to move unseen, speak truths backwards, or lie without blinking.

"Lunarcall" - Tapping into the moon phases to access otherwise sealed abilities.

Teachers Are... Odd: One is always masked. One never speaks. One only appears in mirrors.

4. Uniform Culture

> "You'll recognize them by the crest—if it glows, walk away."

Basic Uniform:

Navy blazers (unisex), with white undershirts and pleated charcoal skirts/pants.

Embroidered sun-moon crest over the heart:

Golden sun threaded into a silver crescent, symbolizing transition.

It's rumored the crest pulses faintly if the wearer is in mortal danger—or lying.

Night Class Accessories:

Darker cloaks with luminescent sigils (assigned individually based on ability type).

Students with volatile powers may have gloves sewn with seals to prevent accidents.

Dorm Regulations:

Students are divided into towers, based on how they process change

Room assignments change without warning sometimes.
