Chapter 25: Crew Reduction
Uchiha Ren stood before the mirror, his eyes reflecting a two-tomoe Sharingan!
These two tomoe were more complex than a single tomoe. They formed a unique pattern around his pupils, like two intertwined flames, or twin stars twinkling in the night sky.
The Sharingan's ability to constantly upgrade under intense stimulation was no secret.
For example, Sasuke activated his single tomoe on the night of his clan's extermination. Later, when Team 7 was on a mission in the Land of Waves, he activated another tomoe in a fit of rage after witnessing Naruto being attacked by Haku.
But Uchiha Ren hadn't expected that merely being subjected to Uchiha Fugaku's genjutsu could stimulate him enough to activate his two-tomoe Sharingan.
"It seems my obsession with life is too strong. Even seeing the deaths of the various Ren Arakawas across the worlds in a genjutsu is something I absolutely cannot accept."
The two-tomoe Sharingan was faster and stronger than the single tomoe.
At the same time, when it came to "copying" ninjutsu, the two-tomoe Sharingan could achieve effects that the single tomoe could never hope to match.
Now, learning a B-rank ninjutsu like Water Style: Water Formation Wall would be much easier for him.
"Synchronize!"
Uchiha Ren immediately chose to synchronize his upgraded Sharingan with all the Ren Arakawas across the cosmos.
In less than two seconds, Pirate Ren Arakawa excitedly sent a congratulatory message!
"Brother! This is amazing! It's only been a few days, and you've already gone from a single tomoe to two?! Does this mean I can use Amaterasu soon?!"
Uchiha Ren chuckled without a word, and Stephen Fang also chimed in.
"Every Ren Arakawa has the dream of being Frieza piloting a Gundam!"
"Then I can only do my best," Uchiha Ren said with a helpless, bitter smile.
Pirate Ren Arakawa was silent for a moment, then muttered, "The Main God Space can cut off our connections, but I wonder if the synchronization ability will still be effective?"
"Achoo!"
On a pale blue planet, the Main God Ren Arakawa, dressed in a spacesuit, sneezed.
Everyone turned to look at him, and the female lead, Daniels, asked with concern, "Are you catching a cold?"
"It might actually be a little cold. I suggest everyone not take their visors off." He said, putting his helmet back on.
Several movie NPCs nodded and put their helmets back on. The initial excitement of seeing an Earth-like planet had also largely worn off.
The original plot characters had calmed down, while the few New Reincarnators were excitedly looking left and right.
"I can't believe these movie characters so easily accepted our suggestions! They're really brave to go to such a dangerous planet."
"If the characters in a movie weren't brave, would it still be a horror movie?" Xiaoye Hui said, pulling out a lollipop from somewhere and tucking it into his oxygen mask. He licked it while explaining, gazing into the distance.
A bespectacled office worker touched the gun at his waist. "It's just that this weapon is a bit outdated. They're already colonizing planets, yet they're still using traditional firearms."
"Plot holes in movies are to be expected," Xiaoye Hui said, biting down hard on the lollipop. "Let's go, let's see what these legendary aliens actually look like!"
Ren Arakawa followed behind these rookies, his heart filled with an overwhelming urge to complain.
He truly didn't understand where these people got their confidence.
Perhaps their boring, repetitive lives made them crave excitement.
But they also hadn't considered whether Da Qiang and Er Niu in their team were trustworthy.
Ren Arakawa glanced at Er Niu's sinister smile and had his answer.
These two were probably just waiting for an opportunity to stab others in the back.
But what was that bitch Meng Rui doing staying on the ship?
Outside the planet, the Covenant ship hovered silently.
Meng Rui of the Breeding Squad stood in the captain's cabin. The former first mate, who had previously been promoted to captain, now lay in a medical pod, eyes tightly shut, barely breathing.
Meng Rui faced the remaining crew—Hei Mei and an old white man—and blew out a smoke ring. "The two of you had better cooperate with me fully, or your fate will be the same as his."
Hei Mei and the old man nodded vigorously.
Their worldview had long since collapsed the moment Meng Rui made her move.
Was this person even human?
How could a human turn their entire arm into a blade?
She was simply a giant humanoid mantis!
Poor former first mate Ola, he and his sidearm were cut in half.
Too terrifying!
If it weren't for the medical pod's hemostatic function, the captain would surely have died.
"Alright, now," Meng Rui said with a smile playing on her lips, "except for her and the synthetic human, revoke all crew members' privileges on the ship!"
"This! This doesn't conform to the rules!" Hei Mei stammered. "We don't have such authority; we can only decide for ourselves."
"Of course, the program isn't written that way." Meng Rui smiled, pulling out a black, USB-like device and inserting it into the console. "Now, you can operate it like this."
"Oh, right!" Meng Rui brushed her hair aside. "Don't try any tricks, or I'll cut your body into little pieces, about the size of a Snickers bar~"
Hei Mei and the old man gulped, quickly operating the system.
When the face on the operating system screen switched to Da Qiang.
Hei Mei, showing great tact, asked, "This... this man who was just with you..."
"My dear," Meng Rui said, tracing Hei Mei's cheek with her fingertip, "I don't want to repeat myself."
"Everyone except Daniels and the synthetic human..."
"Revoke their privileges!"
Hei Mei felt her face was wet, and her shoulder felt itchy.
Looking down, she saw that her own cheek was bleeding.
Meng Rui threw a pack of tissues at her. "Get to work."
Hei Mei, no longer having any thoughts of her own, covered her wound with one hand and operated the system with the other.
The old man beside her looked at Hei Mei's wound, lost in thought.
Time passed quickly.
In the dense forests of the Engineer planet, the advance team was shrouded in the darkness of night and unknown terror.
The light from their lamps flickered in the dark, illuminating only a limited distance ahead.
The sound of the team members' breathing and footsteps was exceptionally clear in the silent forest.
Suddenly, a bespectacled man with a somewhat twitchy expression stopped walking. His brows furrowed, and a hint of unease flickered in his eyes.
He felt it—a subtle movement. It seemed something was moving through the bushes, following their steps.
"Do you guys feel like something's following us?" His voice trembled slightly, breaking the silence of the team.
Before his words had fully faded, a dark shadow suddenly burst from the dense forest, moving with terrifying speed, leaving no time to react.
The man didn't even have time to react before being dragged into the thick forest by the unknown entity, leaving behind only a short, sharp scream and the sound of snapping branches!
Immediately after, a chilling notification echoed in the minds of all the reincarnators:
[Team member Li Shuai has died. Crew member count reduced. Reward Points -100.]
This message was like a heavy hammer, savagely striking everyone's hearts.
Everyone suddenly turned around, their eyes scanning the darkness. The weapons in their hands wildly sprayed bullets and energy beams in the direction of the bushes, leaving streaks in the night sky.
But besides trees and vegetation, they hit nothing.
The forest once again fell into a deathly silence, with only the team members' hurried breaths and pounding heartbeats echoing in their ears.
A wave of unease spread through the team.
They began to realize that this planet was far more dangerous than they had imagined.
It was only now that the newcomers of the reincarnation team gradually began to grasp the cruelty of the Main God Space.
"Everyone, calm down!" the female lead Daniels shouted, trying to stabilize the team's morale. "We can't panic! We must maintain formation and not let fear control us!"
But just as her words fell, another death notification echoed in everyone's minds as another team member's life was ruthlessly snatched away.
[Team member Dian Ren has died. Crew member count reduced. Reward Points -100.]
Fear and despair appeared on the newcomers' faces, their initial arrogance and excitement vanished.
"Hahaha!"
An ill-timed laugh erupted from the crowd.
Er Niu, grinning to show his buck teeth, looked at the newcomers. "Why's everyone so quiet now? Where's that arrogant girl? Come out and think of a solution, quickly! The team still needs your leadership!"
"Enough, Er Niu!" Da Qiang stood up straight. "This isn't the time to stir up trouble." He looked at the crowd.
"Everyone, there's a cave ahead! Let's take shelter there!"
At this moment, Ren Arakawa's eyes were tightly shut.
When he opened his eyes again, his blood-red eyes now contained two tomoe.
He glanced towards the distant cave, and a chilling aura made him feel uncomfortable all over!
The Main God had increased the difficulty.
