Chapter 30 - Who is your family Driver?

Looking at Edwin, who was standing by the door with a face full of anger, I wanted to laugh.

Edwin appeared carefree, but in reality, his temperament was as fierce as that of a chaste and assertive woman.

I wondered what kind of sparks would fly between him and Micheal.

The nurse saw two handsome guys.

Despite her wobbly legs, she wisely retreated when she saw that something was amiss.

Left alone were Edwin and Michael, staring at each other.

"CEO Michael, could you repeat what you just said?" Edwin then came over and handed me the still-warm container he was holding.

I opened it, and the aroma of fried rice and chicken wafted into my nostrils.

I was starving, and quickly began eating.

The taste of the fried rice was surprisingly good.

As for what was going to happen between Micheal and Edwin, I was not the least bit bothered!

"Edwin, I was just lending a hand in an emergency, I believe you understand this."

Micheal said with a faint smile as he put my medical records aside and stood up.

From the looks of it, he seemed to be leaving.

Just go, leave quickly!

That's what I was chanting in my mind.

Presumably thinking about the collaboration between the two companies, Edwin didn't say a word.

He just shrugged helplessly at Michael, then laid down on the couch.

In the past, I thought Edwin You's slump was shocking enough, but now I realize it's because I hadn't seen Edwin's slump before.

Micheal, it seems, also acts as though Edwin doesn't exist.

He walked straight to my bedside and said, "I'm not a casual man."

I don't know why he would say such a thing to me, it just made me feel like laughing a little.

What does it have to do with me what kind of man he is and why should he tell me about it?

"None of my business!" I curled my lip and pointed towards the door without a word, indicating he should leave.

After observing me in the hospital overnight and seeing there was no serious problem, Edwin discharged me.

The wind was blowing rather heavy, making me feel somewhat cold.

It seems to be getting cold.

The clothes I brought are not warm enough.

It seems I'll have to find time to go home to fetch more clothes.

The thought of meeting with my parents gives me a headache.

"Cold?"

Edwin who was walking in front of me, suddenly turned around to ask.

"Cold," I replied, looking at his suit jacket.

Typically, when a man asks this, he would offer his own coat to the woman in the next second.

But clearly, I overestimated Edwin, he has no connection with being a gentleman.

"Yeah, I'm cold too, let's hurry and get in the car; there's heating inside."

With that said, he picked up his pace, sprinting towards the car.

Alright, I guess I'm just acting on my own fantasies.

In the following days, the temperature got lower and lower, leaving me no choice but to return home at 2 am to get my clothes .

With the keys, I opened the door, finding my parents asleep on the couch.

I tiptoed inside, afraid that the slightest noise would awaken them.

Returning to my own home felt like acting like a thief, and it was truly baffling.

What surprised me was the presence of another woman in the room, lying in bed with Joe.

Ha, they really treated this place like their own home.

They seemed quite comfortable living in the house I rented!

I didn't want to deal with it anymore, and just wanted to grab my things and leave.

I only paid half a year's rent anyway.

After that, they could figure it out on their own,

I wouldn't care.

Using the faint light from outside the window, I quietly collected my clothes.

There was one silk nightdress that I really liked, but for the life of me, I couldn't find it.
