Chapter 9 - Uchiha studying medicine

"What in the world are the Uchiha up to now?"

In the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi stared at the Anbu report in his hand, completely stunned.

"An Uchiha learning Medical Ninjutsu?"

I remember the Uchiha weren't good at Yin Release Power, were they?

Although the Uchiha also possess Chakra with both Yin and Yang attributes, due to the Sharingan, the Yin Release Power in their bloodline holds absolute dominance, making it impossible for them to spontaneously awaken Yin Release Power.

And Ninjutsu like Medical Ninjutsu, which grants vitality, is often the most difficult for the Uchiha to learn.

If they can't learn it, then why enter the Konoha Hospital?

To be admitted as a patient?

That's clearly unlikely.

So if it's not to be admitted and not to learn Medical Ninjutsu, then is the target… Tsunade?

Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes narrowed slightly, he took a deep puff from his pipe, then slowly exhaled a cloud of white smoke.

"Uchiha Takeshi, huh…"

He remembered this child, he seemed to be Xuan Nai's son.

The clan leader's son… and a genius who had awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

He was also Kushina's classmate.

This was too dangerous!

Although he hadn't actively approached Kushina yet, according to previous reports, Kushina's attitude towards this Uchiha Takeshi was distinctly different from others.

You see, Kushina is a crucial strategic resource for Konoha; Lady Mito is about to return to her homeland, and Kushina is currently the best and safest vessel to house the Nine-Tailed.

Nothing must go wrong!

The Uchiha getting too close to the Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki, this must be absolutely prevented!

"It seems I need to send some people to keep an eye on this Uchiha Takeshi…"

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at the report in his hand, his eyes slightly narrowed.

"Hmph!"

Right after class, Kushina deliberately walked past Takeshi, then, as usual, delivered her daily "Hmph" greeting next to him.

Looking at the little girl's pouting back, Takeshi stared with dead fish eyes, expressing his helplessness.

This girl really holds a grudge!

"Takeshi, do you think she's latched onto you?"

Minato suddenly asked at this moment.

Takeshi's mouth twitched, "Rather than latched onto me, I'd say she hates me."

"But what if, as she hates you, she falls in love with you?"

"Impossible!"

Takeshi understood Kushina very well; that girl wasn't so easily charmed.

This wasn't some Mary Sue romance drama; how could such an absurd thing happen?

"But that's how it's written in the novels I read; two bickering rivals, after enough arguing, suddenly kiss. What if you two just hit it off?"

Even if we hit it off, there's no way anything could happen between Kushina and me. My eyes are only on the mission. As for dating?

That would be deadly; even dogs don't date!

But then again, aren't you too idle, to even have time to read novels and gossip about me?

Takeshi's face instantly darkened. He patted Minato's shoulder and said seriously:

"Minato, I feel your training has been a bit lax recently. It seems necessary to tell your big brother to give you more practice."

"No, don't!" Minato immediately made a pained face: "If I have to train more, I'll really die!"

Heaven knows how hard his days have been recently; Fugaku-bro seems to have a grudge against him, his fists are constantly landing on his face!

"Then control your mouth," Takeshi warned.

"Oh." Minato whined, quiet for a moment, but then couldn't resist again.

"But I really feel you two…?"

"Extra training…"

"No, I'm sorry!"

The two chatted as they walked out of school, then parted ways at a fork in the road.

Minato's training for the day wasn't finished yet, while Takeshi was preparing to report to the Konoha Hospital.

Once it involved the revitalization of the Uchiha, the clan's efficiency was surprisingly high; it was only the second day, and his admission procedures were already completed.

"You mean you're here to learn Medical Ninjutsu?"

Inside the Konoha Hospital, Tsunade sat in her office chair with her legs crossed, her expression incredibly complex, staring incredulously at the Uchiha brat in front of her.

How strange, the sun didn't rise from the west today.

If she remembered correctly, the Uchiha couldn't learn Yin Release Power at all, could they?

"Yes," Takeshi nodded obediently.

Seeing her reaction, he understood that Tsunade was doubting his motives.

After all, the Uchiha Clan was famous for its Yin Release Power Dojutsu, and also famous for being unable to use Yin Release Power.

So, to gain the trust of this big fat sheep in front of him, Takeshi decided to show off a little.

"Mystical Palm Technique?!"

Tsunade's eyes almost popped out when she saw the pale blue Chakra light released from Takeshi's palm.

What's going on?

Aren't the Uchiha all famous for combat Ninjutsu?

Since when did they even know the Mystical Palm Technique?

You see, the Mystical Palm Technique is a high-level Medical Ninjutsu, requiring extremely precise Chakra control while also requiring the Ninja to master Yin Release Power.

But this brat in front of her was clearly an Uchiha… Tsunade looked at Takeshi's characteristic black hair, a murmur rising in her heart.

Could he be a half-blood?

Or… was his old man cuckolded?

"Lady Tsunade, surely you can believe me now? I'm truly here to learn."

Takeshi didn't know that the other party, simply because he could use the Mystical Palm Technique, had started thinking things in a strange direction.

The reason he could use the Mystical Palm Technique was entirely due to the [Yin Release Power] attribute.

What was originally a precautionary measure unexpectedly became his achievement.

When the Uchiha's Sharingan evolves into the Mangekyo, while it grants immense power, it also comes with a huge side effect.

Not only does it require a large amount of Chakra to activate, but if the Mangekyo is used too many times, eyesight will severely decline, eventually leading to complete blindness.

To remedy this defect, one must evolve into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and to evolve into the Eternal Mangekyo, one needs to transplant the Mangekyo of a close relative.

In other words, if Takeshi didn't want to go blind in the future, he would have to take his big brother Fugaku's Mangekyo.

But the two had been together for so long, and there was some familial affection, so Takeshi didn't want to do that unless absolutely necessary.

Then there was only one other path: transplanting hashirama cells. Although this couldn't completely cure the side effect of blindness, it could greatly delay the onset of blindness.

As long as the Mangekyo wasn't overused, hashirama cells could slowly repair the eye tissue and delay vision deterioration.

And the essence of hashirama cells is actually Yin Release Power!

Yin Release Power represents the strength of the body, capable of injecting powerful vitality into the body and repairing it.

So, in other words, even if Takeshi evolved his Sharingan to the Mangekyo, he wouldn't need to take eyes or transplant other people's cells; just by relying on the Yin Release Power he possessed, he would be enough to resist the risk of blindness.

This truly was a case of an unintentional act leading to unexpected success!

"Cough, cough…"

Tsunade realized that thinking this way might be a bit offensive, so she quickly cleared her throat to cover her guilt.

"Very good, you've passed the assessment."

Wait, is there an assessment for admission?

Takeshi's head was covered in black lines; he had a feeling Tsunade was just making things up.

"By the way."

"What is it?"

Tsunade quickly sat up straight, thinking she had been seen through. But then she saw the Uchiha brat in front of her pull out a stack of money from his pocket.

The sheer amount made Tsunade's eyes widen; it was enough for her to gamble several rounds… "My father said that Lady Tsunade, as the director of the Konoha Hospital, works tirelessly and it's not easy, so he specially asked me to bring some money to reward you. It's not much, just thirty million Ryo."

"Thirty million Ryo!?"

Tsunade's eyes widened, staring intently at the stack of money on the table.

As the Konoha Princess, she naturally wasn't short on money. Plus, with her superb Medical Ninjutsu, she could earn a lot just by treating people.

But the problem was, she loved to gamble and always lost, earning her the nickname 'Konoha's Big Fat Sheep'.

All the money she earned was thrown into the casino, and she was still deep in debt.

That's why she was so surprised when she heard the amount Takeshi mentioned.

And actually, this money wasn't a small amount; an S-rank mission in Konoha Village was at most a million Ryo, so this was enough for dozens of S-rank missions.

The price was roughly equivalent to one Asuma.

"So, what scheme are you Uchiha cooking up now?"

Tsunade was a Jonin after all, and would later be praised by Hanzou, the Salamander, as one of the Konoha Sannin. Naturally, she couldn't be bribed so easily.

She quickly recovered from her daze, leaned back in her chair with her legs crossed, sitting casually, and began to seriously scrutinize the Uchiha brat in front of her.

Although she didn't have the same prejudice against the Uchiha as her great-uncle, she still maintained a necessary vigilance.

Giving her so much money for no reason, it had to be suspicious!

"Lady Tsunade, you've misunderstood."

This time, he really had no other intentions; it was simply because they had too much money.

After learning that Tsunade might be the next Hokage, the Uchiha were full of passion and drive.

They couldn't wait to pull down the Third and put the Fourth Hokage, Tsunade, in power.

To begin their great Uchiha revival.

So, after learning that Takeshi was reporting to the Konoha Hospital today, they insisted on giving him a stack of money to give to Tsunade.

They even said it was Lady Tsunade's start-up capital.

But given Tsunade's nature, how could this be start-up capital? It was clearly gambling money!

But there was nothing he could do; his father had also put pressure on him, so Takeshi had no choice but to take it out.

The Uchiha lacked nothing but money.

"If you really need a reason, then perhaps it's just to ask you to look after me more while I'm at the hospital…"

To make Tsunade feel at ease accepting this gambling money, Takeshi casually made up a reason.

"Is that so…?"

So, the Uchiha want me to take this child under my wing?

No wonder they gave me so much money.

Tsunade stroked her chin, once again seriously scrutinizing Takeshi, beginning to weigh the pros and cons in her mind.

She had also heard that people of the Uchiha Clan were more or less a bit crazy, prone to going berserk.

However, that only seemed to happen after intense stimulation.

This child currently seemed quite normal; as long as she protected him well, there shouldn't be any major problems.

As for the old man, she could just fob him off; at most, she'd get a scolding, which she wouldn't listen to anyway.

And looking at the Uchiha's casual display of thirty million Ryo, they were clearly very rich!

If she took this child as her disciple, wouldn't her future gambling funds be secured!

Of course, this child's talent was also exceptional.

An Uchiha who could use the Mystical Palm Technique, she had never seen one before.

It was just teaching some Medical Ninjutsu; it wouldn't hurt.

"Alright, your name is Takeshi, right? I, Tsunade, agree to take you as my disciple!"

"Huh?"

Takeshi was stunned, even doubting his own ears.

Wait, why are you suddenly taking me as your disciple?

Tsunade ignored his surprise, her eyes sparkling as she stared at the thirty million Ryo on the table.

"This is thirty million Ryo! With this money, I can plug up that huge debt!"

But before that, Tsunade decided to visit the casino first. Her luck was so good today, and someone even brought her money; perhaps her gambling luck would also be very good.

If she won, all the remaining money could be stuffed into her, Tsunade's, pockets.

"Takeshi, you familiarize yourself with the hospital first. I, your teacher, have an urgent matter, so I'll be leaving now!"

With that, she practically scooped up the money from the table at top speed, then, without looking back, rushed straight to the casino.

Watching Tsunade's frantic retreating figure, Takeshi's mouth twitched.

He didn't even need to think to know that this big fat sheep was rushing off to give away money again…
