"I heard Blue Pegasus also has a side business, like how our guild runs a tavern," Rhode whispered to Mira, gathering intel.
"Yes, but theirs might be called a bar, nightclub, or something like that?" Mira tried to gently inform Rhode about the truth of Blue Pegasus.
"Apart from people like them, there are also beauties like Jenny. Besides selling drinks, they also offer services to meet customers' emotional needs through interaction and companionship."
Rhode carefully considered Mira's words and exclaimed in shock, "Isn't that just..."
He didn't finish the sentence, feeling the industry was somewhat on the edge.
The business that Blue Pegasus engages in is quite lucrative, and given their guild's strength and reputation, they never lack tasks.
Moreover, unlike Fairy Tail, they don't cause trouble daily, making their guild extremely wealthy.
Otherwise, how could they afford a magical bomb strike boat that flies and looks super cool?
The three before him seemed a bit quirky to Rhode, but there was no denying their competence.
After agreeing to Rhode's conditions, the three immediately got into work mode.
First was Hibiki, who waved his hand and conjured a golden, translucent keyboard and screen.
He then quickly typed on the keyboard, bringing up several maps, and finally pinpointed the most suitable nearby image.
Next, he seemed to use a search and sensory magic, marking small red dots with numbers on the map.
"These are the areas where the rats are most densely gathered. Now, I'm sending the locations to you guys. Len will handle the odd numbers, and Ive will handle the even numbers."
Progress bars appeared above Len and Ive's heads, and once completed, they responded in unison, "Understood!"
They immediately sprang into action, heading straight to their targets like they had built-in navigation systems, each pressing their hands on the ground.
At Len's location, over a dozen lethargic rats emerged from their burrows, only to collapse after a few steps.
On Ive's side, several rats escaped their holes, only to be covered in snow, freezing into ice sculptures.
The two wasted no time, heading to the next location.
Hibiki, having completed his own task, casually provided explanations for the astonished Rhode and Mira:
"My magic is 'Ancient Document,' and as you can see, it allows for information to be compressed and sent to allies.
Len uses air magic, which can extract the oxygen from a specific range, so when the rats came out, they were already suffocated.
Ive uses snow magic, reducing the temperature inside the burrows to force the rats out, then freezes them."
Mira admired, "What a well-coordinated team."
"Of course, we're the best team in the guild," Hibiki proudly stated, "If Mr. Yiye were here, it would be perfect."
Rhode initially doubted whether Hibiki had targeted him before.
Why did it seem like these people accepted the information without issue, while he was in so much pain back then?
He figured it must have been an issue with the data amount.
Could he perhaps stuff those rats' brains with useless information to make them burst?
Rhode suddenly found this magic troublesome.
Maybe it required the target's consent to transfer?
Aside from the Ancient Document magic, what troubled Rhode the most was Len's air magic:
"Extracting oxygen is too much of a cheat, right? If he were an opponent, wouldn't one suffocate without realizing it?"
"There must be some kind of limitations, like the casting range or activation speed," Mira said. "Even if not, just defeat him before suffocating."
Rhode gestured with his fingers, "Or make some air for yourself."
Hibiki thought the two were a bit scary, "Why assume the premise would be becoming an enemy..."
And they guessed so accurately.
Len and Ive swiftly cleared the remaining rats, making admirable progress.
Rhode, wearing the Crown of Insight, took a break until his magic fully recovered, then asked Hibiki for a map to speed up the work progress.
They worked diligently for a day, leaving countless rat corpses above ground.
These seemingly flamboyant gentlemen had no complaints about the work, earning Rhode's respect.
He wasn't sure about their personal lives, but based on ability and attitude alone, they were indeed excellent mages.
As the sun set, Rhode summoned the Tree Monster to produce a few vine-woven benches for everyone to sit and rest.
They wiped the sweat off their brows and let out long breaths.
Hibiki remarked, "You seem to know many convenient magics."
Rhode lazily lay on Mira's lap, casually saying, "Magic serves life, changes life."
Where had he heard that phrase? Mira took the opportunity to stroke Rhode's head, playing with his hair.
"That magic that restores magic power is amazing," Ive said. "If you were a girl, I'd start idolizing you."
"Visit our guild sometime when you have the chance. I'll introduce you to Mira's brother."
Rhode thought Elfman wouldn't mind teaching the guy who wanted to call his sister 'sister' a lesson.
Len, still not admitting it, said, "I think that magic is strong too... but I'm not trying to compliment you."
"Thanks," Rhode found that once you got used to it, the dark-skinned fellow might be the most easygoing.
They chatted for a while, the atmosphere quite pleasant as long as they didn't unconsciously fawn over Mira.
Hibiki fiddled with the 'electronic map' again, pushing a screen for Rhode and Mira to see:
"Although we haven't completely cleared them out, the larger rats are basically extinct, and the remaining few field mice are not enough to affect the local villagers' normal lives. So, are we done with our task?"
Rhode extended his hand, "Pleasure working with you."
Hibiki shook his hand, "Pleasure working with you.
Can't believe that in just a year, someone who didn't even understand common language could become such an outstanding mage."
Rhode chuckled, "Still remember me, huh? Aren't you guys completely uninterested in men?"
Hibiki flamboyantly pressed a hand to his nose bridge, coolly saying, "Perhaps that was just my character setting?"
...
The Pegasus Trio left, and Rhode and Mira set off on their way back to the village.
Rhode marveled, "Though they're so handsome, they're actually nice people."
Mira curiously looked at Rhode, "Did Mr. Hibiki implant more strange syntax in you? How come you haven't used any transitions?"
Rhode asked, "So how should it be said?"
"You should say... Although they're not as handsome as you, they're still nice people," Mira blinked at him.
Rhode looked at her, "You know, flattering someone and giving them those eyes means you have to face the consequences?"
