After a brief argument with the system, I turned my attention back to the situation. I saw all those identity cards, and Lin Chen started laughing. He said, "Okay, okay, I understand. So, you claim he is your disciple. Haha, I believe it now because the arrogant Lu Xiaoran I know would never accept a fool like you as his master. He must look like him." He laughed while pointing at me and calling me a fool. Suddenly, with a swish, Lu Xiaoran punched him with a speed beyond that of an ordinary person. The punch hit Lin Chen's chest, sending him crashing into the wall. As he punched, Lu Xiaoran declared, "No one can disrespect my master."
Now the show had begun. The atmosphere was filled with a wild sense of adventure. It was a moment where two opposing forces clashed. On one side stood Lin Chen, the chosen hero of fate, and on the other side was my disciple, Lu Xiaoran, someone ready to defy fate.
After taking the hit from Lu Xiaoran, Lin Chen was flung against the wall next to the lift. Seeing this, his bodyguards rushed in front of us, taking fighting stances. There were six men, all at the late stage of the foundation establishment realm. Four of them positioned themselves in front of us while two hurried to check on Lin Chen. Xia Yang also joined them to see if Lin Chen was okay. But they all halted when Lin Chen stood up as if nothing had happened. His tuxedo showed slight signs of damage from the punch, but he seemed fine. A look of excitement shone in his eyes.
Xia Yang approached him, asking, "Lin Chen, are you alright? Please tell me if you feel any discomfort."
Lin Chen replied, "There's no need to worry, Xia Yang. The man you love is not a loser like some crippled young master. I feel excited because I haven't fought seriously for a while. Xia Yang, stay behind those bodyguards."
As he spoke, he motioned for his guards to move in front of Xia Yang. He then looked at Lu Xiaoran with disdain and said, "Lu Sheng or Lu Xiaoran, I don't care what your name is, but you made a mistake by punching me. Get ready, because I won't stop until I break your hands."
He lunged at Lu Xiaoran, punching him in the face. Lu Xiaoran dodged by turning his head, but Lin Chen didn't stop there—he swung a roundhouse kick at Lu Xiaoran. This time, Lu Xiaoran didn't have time to dodge and raised his hand to block the kick, causing him to slide back due to the force.
After sliding back, Lu Xiaoran ducked and punched Lin Chen, who jumped back just in time to avoid the blow. Taking advantage of his jump, Lu Xiaoran landed and hit Lin Chen in the stomach, causing Lin Chen to spit out saliva and slide back. Realizing he had been hit twice, Lin Chen's anger was palpable.
He readjusted his stance, and I noticed a faint flow of spiritual energy in his body. Until now, neither Lin Chen nor Lu Xiaoran had used spiritual energy in their fight, but it seemed Lin Chen was feeling frustrated as Lu Xiaoran fought him on equal terms. Coating his fist with spiritual energy—though it was not visible to most people—he threw a punch at Lu Xiaoran. This punch moved faster than any before but was easily countered by Lu Xiaoran. Their fists collided, creating a small shockwave. Lin Chen's bodyguards used their aura shields to protect Xia Yang, while I stood in front of the crowd, absorbing the impact of the shockwave.
After this shockwave, the fight intensified. Both fighters threw punches and kicks, now incorporating spiritual energy, making the battle more dangerous. Each clash produced shockwaves, and the crowd, including me, Roman, and others, enjoyed the spectacle. Some even placed bets on who would win. Children cheered for Lu Xiaoran and tried to mimic their moves, causing their parents to scold them for being too loud. Meanwhile, Roman and I munched on popcorn, discussing Lu Xiaoran's fighting style.
Roman said, "Master, I think he isn't using his lower body enough and only relies on punches against Lin Chen. He should throw more kicks along with his punches. That way, if the opponent dodges one punch, they'd be open to getting kicked in the face. It would be more effective when he can't use much spiritual energy."
I replied, "I noticed that too, Roman. After this, I plan to train him while tying up his hands. It would be best if neither of them used much spiritual energy since we have regular people around, and reckless use could lead to an accident. This place isn't big enough for a full-scale clash, and remember, we're on the highest building in the city. Any accident here could result in people falling."
Having heard my words, Roman nodded, and we returned our focus to the fight. I could see that slowly Lu Xiaoran was gaining the upper hand, while Lin Chen started to look agitated. Suddenly, Lin Chen landed a punch square on Lu Xiaoran's face, causing him to vomit blood. Xia Yang shouted for the bodyguards to assist Lin Chen, but he raised his hand to stop them as anger surged within him.
He took a stance, and behind him, a phantom took shape. I recognized this as him about to summon his martial soul. His martial soul appeared like a worm covered in thousands of spikes, enhancing his body. He used it to make his punches more powerful while conserving spiritual energy.
With this boost, Lin Chen began to take control of the fight. He advanced on Lu Xiaoran, who was forced to defend as punches and kicks rained down. Lin Chen looked at Lu Xiaoran with a smirk, saying, "What's happening? Did you not have a martial soul? Oh wait, I devoured yours. It was something called Phantom Tiger, right?" He laughed as he continued his assault on Lu Xiaoran.
But then, Lu Xiaoran caught one of Lin Chen's punches mid-air, bending his wrist and breaking some of his bones. Lin Chen screamed in pain as Lu Xiaoran then delivered an uppercut, nearly knocking him out. This seemed to be a final move, and with it, Lu Xiaoran emerged as the clear winner, earning cheers from the crowd behind me.
However, I noticed that despite falling to the ground, Lin Chen stood up again. Spiritual energy swirled around him, and I saw his pupils change to a vertical shape with hints of blue and yellow. He was trying to conjure a spiritual attack. Confirming my suspicion, he raised his hand, and a swirling mass of yellow flames formed in his palm, appearing quite destructive. He hurled it at Lu Xiaoran, who prepared his spiritual attack—a bolt of blue lightning to counter it.
But before their attacks collided, I stepped in front of them, blocking both. Taking on an authoritative tone, I said, "Enough. Stop this fight now! This place cannot handle your conflict."
Upon hearing me, Lu Xiaoran immediately ceased fighting, but Lin Chen tried to resist. I glanced at him, using my aura to make him immobile. Just when I thought I had the situation under control, the lift entrance opened with a sound, revealing several police officers armed with high-tech rifles. They aimed their weapons at me, and one of the officers quickly moved to Lin Chen's side, indicating he knew him.
Before I could fully understand what was happening, another officer announced, "Don't move. You are under arrest."
Lin Chen then told the officer beside him, "Please arrest them. They are trying to harm this tower by fighting inside, and they even beat the security guards."
Realizing my tour of the city might end in police custody, I sighed. Here I was, hoping for a night out with my disciple, and now I was being arrested at noon. I checked my watch; it was 2 PM.
The system chimed in, "It's normal, Host. Don't be discouraged. Most boys' night out plans end in lockup; you just happened to get arrested before night fell."
