Hearing this, the men stopped arguing as if intimidated by the name. Even the thugs in suits began to smile at their reaction. Some people didn't understand who that person was, but they could tell from the reactions around them that someone important had made a reservation and that they should leave. As I pondered the situation, an idea struck me. This situation was just like the previous one. Fate seemed intent on forcing Lin Chen and Lu Xiaoran to face each other. This time, however, I wanted to do something different. I silently instructed my disciples to stay put; it was time for Lu Xiaoran to meet his old classmate, Lin Chen.
I decided to put my plan into action. According to my strategy, both Lu Xiaoran and Roman would confront the thugs. They didn't want to leave early, just like most people here, so they would stand up to the thugs. I was confident these thugs would resort to violence. After defeating them, we would wait for Lin Chen with the other tourists. When Lin Chen arrived, he would see the state of the thugs and get angry. However, he would be shocked to discover Lu Xiaoran was behind it all, especially since Lu Xiaoran had become more handsome and had white hair.
The confrontation would become even more interesting. I would ensure that Lu Xiaoran denied his identity if anyone questioned him, claiming he was Lu Sheng. That would only add to Lin Chen's anger. I was good at making plans. Now that the stage was set, I got ready for this face-off between a chosen one and someone supposedly abandoned by fate. I didn't know if destiny had any awareness, but if it did, I would make sure it regretted choosing Lu Xiaoran as a villain.
Having formulated my plan, I communicated it to my disciples through telepathy. Then, I raised my voice to express my disagreement with the manager, making sure the public could hear me clearly.
Vik: "I'm certain that when we bought the tickets for this view, we were not informed that you had the authority to cancel our reservations, except in emergency situations. I don't believe last-minute reservations by some VIP qualify as an emergency."
Upon hearing my words, the manager looked nervous and glanced at the thugs for help. However, the thugs didn't say anything; perhaps they weren't good at reasoning. The manager swallowed hard and replied, "Dear visitors, we apologize, but as management of this place, we have the authority to cancel your visits under certain conditions. Please understand that if you refuse to leave, we may have to take legal action."
Vik: "Mr. Manager, I think you've misunderstood. I know you have the authority to cancel our reservations, but this situation does not meet those criteria."
His face turned pale, clearly showing his nerves. Other tourists began to voice their opposition as well. A man who appeared to be a lawyer stepped forward and said, "Manager, as far as I know, you're just a private company managing this city tower. This tower is a monument honoring the pioneering era of humanity. It was built by early survivors to represent hope. You don't have the right to treat this monument like your personal restaurant where you control the customers' appointments. We still have half an hour left before our time expires."
The lawyer effectively silenced the manager. Just as he was about to respond, a thug raised his hand and said, "There's no need for further argument. The debate ends here; we will settle this with our fists." Saying this, he punched the lawyer, and the scene became silent as everyone watched the man fall to the ground, while the thugs around him wore menacing smiles.
Before the lawyer hit the ground, I caught him, helping him to stand up again. Since these men in suits had decided to resort to violence, I saw no problem with starting the fight. Lu Xiaoran, sensing my thoughts, faced off against the thugs. He moved with precision and speed, landing an uppercut on the first thug and then kicking another one in the chest. He engaged the remaining thugs, and in just five minutes, they all lay groaning on the ground. He didn't even give Roman a chance to fight; perhaps he was too excited about meeting Lin Chen.
Seeing the thugs' state, the manager nearly fainted from fear. Now that the thugs had been dealt with, I addressed the crowd of tourists. "Now we can enjoy our view without any interruptions." Just then, the lift at the front entrance chimed and opened, signaling someone was arriving. The doors revealed Lin Chen, wearing a white tuxedo and black pants, along with several men in black suits who looked like his bodyguards. I also noticed a lady, whom I assumed was Xia Yand, wearing a blue dress with some jewelry and makeup.
After stepping out of the lift, Lin Chen surveyed his people. His gaze fell on the thugs on the ground, revealing hints of anger. The manager rushed over to him, saying, "Master Lin, I tried to persuade these people to leave for your appointment, but they refused and started to argue. When your people intervened, that boy beat them up." He pointed at me, Roman, and Lu Xiaoran.
Lin Chen looked first at me with anger hidden in his eyes. But when he spotted Lu Xiaoran, his pupils dilated in shock. Without wasting any time, he approached us and pointed at Lu Xiaoran, saying, "Lu Xiaoran, you're alive?" with confusion written on his face.
Then, Lu Xiaoran began his act as I had instructed him.
Lu Xiaoran: "Sir, I don't know who you are, but you have me mistaken. My name is Lu Sheng, not Lu Xiaoran." He wore a nonchalant expression.
Lin Chen: "Hey, Lu Xiaoran, you can't lie to me. I know you're Lu Xiaoran. You must have returned to take revenge on me. If that's what you want, come at me. I'm ready to defeat you again."
At Lin Chen's words, tension filled the air. People around us began to watch intently. I even saw some people pull out snacks like popcorn as they prepared for the unfolding drama. This must have been entertaining for them. It was my moment to step in. Along with Roman, I interrupted their conversation.
Vik: "Please stop, sir. We don't want violence. You're clearly mistaken; this is not Lu Xiaoran. He is Lu Sheng, my disciple. Together with Roman, they both are my disciples."
Lin Chen: "You can't fool me. I know he's Lu Xiaoran; changing his hairstyle and name isn't going to deceive me."
In response, I pulled out some IDs from my pocket, which I had prepared earlier with the system's help, anticipating this could happen. I displayed them and said, "Sir, look at this. This is Lin Sheng's federation identity card, his driving license, his birth certificate, his academic certificates, and his income certificate, along with his international driving license. All this proof shows that he is Lu Sheng. Now tell me, what evidence do you have to claim he's Lu Xiaoran?"
Seeing all the IDs shocked not only Lin Chen but also Lu Xiaoran and those around us. I wasn't sure why they were so surprised.
System: "Host, they're shocked by your behavior. Who carries so many identity cards?"
Vik: "System, you don't understand. This is a classic scene where a man has to show enough ID to prove his false identity."
After a brief debate with the system, I focused back on the situation. Lin Chen, seeing all the ID cards, laughed and said, "Okay, I see. You say he's your disciple? I believe that now. The arrogant Lu Xiaoran I know wouldn't accept a fool like you as his master; he must be someone who looks like him." He laughed while pointing at me, calling me a fool.
Then, with a swift motion that surpassed that of a normal person, Lu Xiaoran punched him in the chest, sending him crashing into the wall. He declared, "No one can disrespects my master."
Now the show had begun.
