Since the day they started Shuriken training Naruto's development in Shuriken throwing had greatly improved with simple techniques for gripping estimating force aiming and observing wind conditions. Whichever way the wind blows and wherever he wants to throw he adjusts the throw so the wind aids the force instead of hindering it
Naruto's Shuriken subject grade therefore rose to a B by the end of the break now at a middle-of-the-class level from being the last. As for Sasuke he still maintained an A in the 4 core subjects because he trained hard every day at school after school and at home inside Mirai's personal dimension
Sasuke and Naruto are now 7 years old entering the second year of the Ninja Academy which focuses on Hand Signs Chakra Control and simple Ninjutsu like the Clone Jutsu and Transformation Jutsu. The first year focused on transforming general objects into another thing using the Chakra in the body starting with small things like transforming a Shuriken into a flower or a flower into a Shuriken. As for the Clone Jutsu it starts with transforming a Shuriken into a dummy shadow to fool the enemy
There are two types of clones Genjutsu Clone and Shadow Clone. The difference is that the Sharingan sees the Genjutsu Clone as a cluster of Chakra while the Shadow Clone is seen as a physical clone of the person that even standing next to the original you wouldn't be able to tell which one is real or fake. This is what Mirai explained but Sasuke had never seen anyone use the Shadow Clone Jutsu before only the Clone Jutsu which matched Mirai's explanation that it looks like a cluster of Chakra that is clearly different from a person
"The Shadow Clone Jutsu is a B-rank jutsu that most Genin cannot use. It requires a Chunin level or higher and it's a fundamental jutsu that all Jonin must master because it's very useful for scouting" Mirai only explained this before saying that he would teach it in more detail when Sasuke's Chakra capacity was ready
In the second year of the Ninja Academy even though Naruto had managed to climb up to the middle of the class it was only for Shuriken. The other three subjects whether Taijutsu Hand Signs or Chakra Control he still held the last place. So Sasuke had to tutor him intensely after school every day with Choji sometimes sitting and eating snacks watching or sometimes joining the training depending on his mood
But today during the 5th week of the 1st semester of the 2nd year besides Choji Shikamaru also came to sit and watch Sasuke teach Naruto Shuriken throwing at a stationary target while moving for 20 minutes before switching to teaching the 12 basic Hand Signs quickly within 12 seconds without using Chakra. Although Naruto remembered all the Hand Sign positions already performing the signs sequentially from Rat Ox Tiger Rabbit Dragon Snake Horse Ram Monkey Bird Dog Boar all at once was still too fast for him to change the position of his fingers and wrist so it took him almost 20 seconds to finish but Sasuke only took 8 seconds to complete the 12 signs
"A clear genius" Shikamaru spoke with a look of awe while watching Sasuke show off Hand Signs going from Rat to Boar and Boar back to Rat in only 17 seconds which was just enough time for Naruto to finish the Rat to Boar sequence only once
"Damn it. . . Why are you so fast at Hand Signs!" Naruto roared before turning to snatch two pieces of Choji's snack and continued practicing Hand Signs intently
"How did you do that 24 Hand Signs in 17 seconds" Shikamaru walked over and asked Sasuke who was stretching and relaxing his fingers in a serious voice
"Practice often and you'll get it" Sasuke answered before turning to practice Chakra Control over his fingers and palms and walked to practice with a wooden dummy. Each punch he threw was much stronger than the punches of other students his age
"Your Taijutsu is formidable your Hand Signs are fast and your Shuriken throwing is accurate. You're too much of a genius to be annoying" Shikamaru spoke in a soft calm voice but Sasuke and Mirai heard it "Hah So boring. How long will it take to catch up to a genius like this"
"If you don't start now you'll never catch up" Sasuke spoke softly in response before gathering Chakra throwing one punch that broke the wooden dummy's stacked hands leaving a fist mark and spiderweb-like cracks all over it before he hit the same spot again with his other hand shattering the dummy with a loud noise causing Naruto who was concentrating on Hand Signs to jump and look over
"I am sorryyyyy I will try to perform 12 Hand Signs within 12 seconds this month Sir Teacher Sasuke please don't hit me"
"Oops Haha" Choji giggled at Naruto's terrified reaction while Shikamaru stood clenching his fists before nodding slowly and walking home. Sasuke didn't know if he would go practice Hand Signs or Chakra Control but he didn't care. The only reason he tried punching the wooden dummy with Chakra-infused fists was just to prove his own power to see how well he could control Chakra and how much stronger his body had become
"Mhm Keep trying Naruto" Sasuke said softly before walking into the school to inform the teacher that he accidentally broke a wooden dummy during Taijutsu practice so the teacher would know and prepare a new wooden dummy for tomorrow
