She said to herself and opened the door to return him if he might need it later.
She couldn't see him anywhere, but when she got to the living room, and stopped.
He was coming out of the shower… and he wasn't wearing his shirt… again.
A towel was draped around his neck.
His physique was toned, and his abs were really defined.
She gasped at that.
He furrowed his brows.
She quickly looked away.
"You really like to roam around shirtless, don't you?" She said, her tone a little nervous.
Si-Hun smirked – actually smirked.
"Maybe I do. What's the point of my apartment when I can't even roam shirtless?" He said, sarcastically.
"He's being so bold!" She thought.
"A-anyway, I forgot to return your jacket. I wasn't sure if you were going and you might need it…so, here." She said, extending her arms to give him the jacket, but it slipped from her fingers.
"Ah – I-I'm sorry! I'll pick it u-
She said and was about to bend down and pick it up, but he reached the floor before she did and picked it up.
"Here." He said while standing straight.
Her breath hitched, and her lips parted slightly.
"You should be resting right now…" He said.
"I'll…sleep!" She said before quickly turning and leaving.
He chuckled, seeing her leave like that.
"She came back to return me the jacket…I told her to rest. She cared…for me." He thought.
She closed the door and leaned against it.
"H-he's so bold…" She muttered to herself while her cheeks were slightly red.
She walked towards the bed and sat on the corner.
She quietly observed his room and scanned everything.
"I can't believe I'm in his room…It's so neat."
She said and lay on the bed freely while sighing.
"The sheets… they also smell like him. His scent lingers everywhere."
She said getting up and getting into the blanket, which also smelled faintly like his strong scent, smoky but sweet in a weird way.
She rolled here and there on the bed, but could not fall asleep.
[Si-Hun's POV]
He sat on the sofa after putting his jacket on the table.
Right then, Kuro came and sat on the smaller sofa.
"So…you seem to really enjoy her company. She's been coming here often…" He teased.
Si-Hun glanced at him.
"She was…I couldn't leave her alone."
"Why?"
"A few guys have been… pestering her." He said, clenching his jaw tight.
"I want to check my new abilities from the previous fights. So much happened, and I completely forgot about that." He said while opening his stats.
"Whoa…" He said, looking at the insane amount of XP and the few abilities he had gained.
"Let me sort them out."
"You're thinking about confronting those guys, right?"
Si-Hun stopped for a second, then continued.
"Yes. Those motherf*ckers should know their place before going near her." He said, his eyes darker.
"Okay…but stay controlled. Don't kill them."
Si-Hun wanted them to disappear from this world, but he stayed in control.
"I won't." He said, his voice firm.
Kuro nodded and sighed lightly.
"…I have three new abilities. The XP is sorted out.''
His stats were:
Instincts = 240
Strength = 335
Speed = 215
Perception = 245
Combat Insight = 290
Explosive Power = 330
"The abilities are…GOOD."
The abilities were:
Combustion Aura: This ability was three blue flames that could follow Si-Hun's instructions. He could use them as fire, to know anything about someone else, or something happening somewhere else. They would follow Si-Hun whenever he commanded them to. He could send them to keep an eye on anyone.
The next ability was really a level up…
Manipulation Lv 1: He could literally manipulate anyone. It was Lv 1, so he could manipulate people just externally.
He could manipulate someone to a level where they would surrender and reveal whatever he desired.
This was a real game…
The third ability was really useful…
Teleportation Over Long Distances: It could teleport him or anything he was in contact with. His previous teleportation only allowed him to teleport over short distances during fights.
But the twist was: He could not use it between fights unless it was critical.
This way, the fight was more challenging.
"These abilities are fire!" He said, ecstatic.
"They are, but be careful with the powers now!" Kuro said.
"Chill out…I'll find those motherf*ckers tomorrow." He said while lying down on the couch.
Suddenly, his phone's screen flickered up.
It was Su-Yeon's message.
"Si-Hun…Are you asleep?"
His eyes flickered open when he saw her message.
"We're in the same house…why did she text? Is she…shy?"
"No. Why'd you text me…We're only a few feet apart."
"You said to call you whenever I felt lonely…so I texted you."
He texted while slightly touched by how she remembered.
"You feel lonely?"
"Umm, I can't sleep. Can I come outside?"
"You can…" He replied, taken aback by her innocence.
"Thank youu!!" She replied while smiling excitedly in his bed.
Si-Hun just smiled and got up.
She got out of bed and walked out.
Kuro noticed how he smiled and knew it was her…of course, he was a shadow, so it gave him free access to a few things 😉.
The door opened, and she stepped out, only in her sweater and trousers.
She looked small and...pulling.
Si-Hun glanced at her and raised one of his brows.
"You really asked for permission to come outside?"
"I…You scolded me before!" She said, furrowing her brows and pouting a little.
His eyes softened, and he chuckled.
"I didn't mean to scold you. I just wanted you to rest…"
She stared at him.
"Sit down, you'll get tired standing there taking your anger out on me." He said, moving a little to the side to give her space.
"…Why are you moving away? There's plenty of space, you'll fall from the edge…" She asked innocently.
His breath hitched at her question, and he looked at her face, a little flustered.
"I…was giving you space." He said, No sugarcoating.
"But there's already so much space. You'll really fall from the edge." She asked while sitting down.
He finally breathed out and sat properly.
"You haven't slept till now?" She asked him.
"So have you. You're tired but still not sleeping." He said, a low chuckle escaping.
"I can't doze off!!" She said dramatically while leaning back on the couch.
"She's so vivid…" He thought.
Her hair was falling freely over her shoulders, making her seem even more fragile.
Her lashes were long and fluttered every time she blinked.
It caught his attention.
After a few seconds, she broke the silence.
"I'm getting bored!" She said to him.
"Wanna watch a movie?"
