"But you said Ethan is the only person who knows about the flower…" Norah asked in confusion.
"Yes!"
"And the cake too?"
"Exactly. The thing is, he's the one who told me to try adding lemon to it and mixing rose and lily flowers the first day we met. Ever since that day, I have grown affectionate for it. I couldn't stop thinking about him that day."
Norah sighed and shook her head. "That's serious."
"But he doesn't want to talk about it. He used to give me that blank look whenever I mentioned it, so I stopped."
"That's not the point. We need to find this person! He still has the guts to give you this under your husband's nose?"
"This person is intentionally trying to provoke Ethan," Elijah said with a frown as he picked up the box. "Isn't this the flower you used to buy with Ethan?"
"It is…"
"There's a note," he murmured, picking it up. "You've grown up to be a beautiful woman, Allison Peyton," he read aloud.
