Chapter 261 - Chapter 148: A Shocking Truth (Part 3)

"This treatment makes me feel like I'm in a fake internship." Shiranui Genma thought about his life over the past two months and couldn't help but sigh, truly feeling envious.

"Hurry up and tell us about the C-Class mission. What kind of enemies did you encounter?"

"C-Class missions are like that. Either you're escorting the client or dealing with beasts and bandits." Obito tried hard to suppress the corners of his mouth from curling up, pretending to be casual as he spoke.

Facing Kakashi, he's a newbie, but to the interns at the school, he's a skilled mission veteran.

"As for the enemies, it's down to luck. If you're unlucky, you might run into ninja enemies. Typically, if there's a Jonin, it gets upgraded to an A-Class mission. If it's a Chunin, it's usually a B-Class mission. Our luck wasn't great; we encountered Jonin enemies twice."

"What, you ran into Jonin during your mission? And twice at that!" The surrounding students showed extremely surprised expressions, and some even looked at Obito with a hint of doubt.

Even as students, they knew the value of a Jonin. It's easy to understand because Jonin is rare to see at the Ninja School. Despite having considerable interactions with Mokgetsu, Mokgetsu isn't exactly a Jonin but a Special Jonin, which is a level lower.

Those from ninja families or members of ninja clans understand the value of Jonin even more. Even among the strong ninja clans, Jonin are not that common.

"You encountered Jonin enemies and survived, no, even completed the mission successfully? Teacher Mokgetsu is only a Special Jonin." An intern looked at Obito with skeptical eyes and asked.

It's not that he didn't trust Obito's character, but because Obito's words were truly too exaggerated.

"Jonin are indeed strong, but that strength isn't impossible to surpass. With determination and combat, it's still possible to defeat them!" Might Guy grinned widely.

The memory of the three of them defeating the Jonin together was still deeply etched in his mind. That time, Might Guy genuinely felt the presence of death. Even with opening the second gate and Full Concentration Breathing, he wasn't a match; he had to team up with Obito, who activated his Sharingan, to succeed.

"Ninja level doesn't determine strength. I haven't even graduated yet, but it doesn't mean I can't defeat official ninjas. Teacher Mokgetsu might be a Special Jonin, but ordinary Jonin aren't his match at all." Obito countered seriously.

"If it's Teacher Mokgetsu, it might be possible." Shiranui Genma chose to believe in Mokgetsu's ability to defeat a Jonin.

"It's different. A genuine Jonin is very strong. Although I also admire Teacher Mokgetsu, this is really hard to believe." The person who just questioned explained.

Both his parents were ninjas and are Chunin, so he knows how difficult it is to become a Jonin. One must be powerful without any weaknesses and also have significant achievements.

Obito wanted to explain further, but the preparatory bell rang, so he said:

"You'll see the results in a few days to know if it's true. Both Kei and I will have records of completing A-Class missions twice, all involving encountering Jonin."

After saying that, Obito and Might Guy quickly rushed back to the classroom.

Seeing Obito speak with such conviction, the doubtful student started to waver.

When exam results are released, the number of missions completed by interns is also announced. He knew this because the guiding teacher used it to motivate them to do more tasks.

"No way, if Teacher Mokgetsu's strength is that great, he wouldn't be just teaching at the Ninja School." After a rational analysis, he felt reassured again, believing he wouldn't end up being proven wrong.

He thought Mokgetsu's strength lay in teaching and nurturing talent, not in combat; otherwise, he wouldn't be a Special Jonin at the school.
