Chapter 250 - Chapter 142: Endless Drills and Birthday

"Practice for another four hours of the Breathing Technique after dinner, and try to increase the concentration level as soon as possible." On the way home, Kakashi was still contemplating his cultivation routine.

Currently, Kakashi is focusing on Breath of Thunder, supplemented by Armament Aura and Lightning Attribute Chakra Nature Changes.

He believes that mastering the Breathing Technique is of utmost importance, and that Armament Aura and Nature Changes can be temporarily set aside.

Because the Breathing Technique can enhance training efficiency and strengthen the body, his Thunder Flash also requires the Breathing Technique to reach a Constant State to address its shortcomings.

Although Armament Aura and Nature Changes are powerful, these two currently do not provide a significant boost for Kakashi; no matter how strong Nature Changes are, Kakashi doesn't have enough Chakra for conversion.

The same goes for Armament Aura; he basically uses Purple Lightning once in battle, and if he enhances it with Armament Aura, his Chakra would be nearly depleted after one move.

"Recently, war missions have been increasing, and the locations are all in the Land of Grass, I wonder what the situation at the front line is like."

"I heard that one of the Sannin, Jiraiya-sama, has led a team to the front line. With someone as strong as him there, there should be no problem."

"It seems like our teacher is also considering going to the battlefield, maybe our next mission will be a war mission, and we might even witness Jiraiya-sama in battle."

"War, huh? That's a lot more dangerous than regular missions. We'll definitely have to take good care of each other then."

"Of course, we're companions, after all."

On the street, Kakashi heard a slightly familiar voice. He looked in the direction of the voice and saw his two former teammates.

Kakashi pondered for a moment, then walked over.

Kakashi's open approach caught the attention of his two former teammates.

"Could it be that he heard it last time and the more he thought about it at home, the angrier he got, planning revenge?" The former teammates couldn't help but speculate on Kakashi's intentions as he approached them.

Thinking this, the former teammates couldn't help but tense their muscles, cautiously watching Kakashi.

Despite thinking of Kakashi as cold and unfeeling, they had to admit that he was indeed a genius, younger than them but not weaker in strength.

"I'm sorry for what happened before." Kakashi began to apologize.

When he was teamed up with these two, Kakashi had acted several times without regard for his teammates' condition to complete the mission.

At that time, he believed that a ninja's duty was to complete the mission. As long as the mission was completed, the sacrifice of a comrade was worth it. If the mission wasn't completed, even if you protected a friend, criticisms would follow.

Even though his relationship with his two former teammates wasn't like the one he had with Might Guy and Obito, the now-enlightened Kakashi had confirmed his belief and wouldn't avoid responsibility, admitting his mistakes.

"Hmm?" Kakashi's apology took both by surprise. They had thought Kakashi had come looking for trouble, and for a moment, they were too stunned to respond.

After saying this, seeing the two somewhat at a loss, Kakashi continued on his way home.

He had not only apologized to his former teammates but also formally bid farewell to his former self, ready to strive towards his belief in protecting those he wished to guard.

"Suddenly saying all this, who understands?" Even after Kakashi left, the two teammates still couldn't grasp what had happened.

"It's really strange, could he be apologizing for those past missions? Such a big change."

...

In the midst of Obito's eager anticipation, time finally reached February 10th, his birthday.

But even on his birthday, there was no break from normal training, as celebrating a birthday was an evening affair.

Obito spent the first two hours of the morning cultivating Armament Aura. Apart from Nohara Rin and Might Guy, the other three disciples had already embarked on their Armament Aura training.

Nohara Rin did not have the necessity to train at the moment, while Might Guy's progress in Yin Release Nature Transformation was slow, not yet reaching the level for Armament Aura training.

After two hours of Armament Aura training, they continued cultivating the Breathing Technique to a Constant State until the day's training was complete. There would be breaks, but they wouldn't change the training content.

"Doing the same basic training every day must feel boring for you two." Mokgetsu didn't rush the two into training but instead asked with a sly smile.

"It is quite boring. It's like the initial physical training, only with the added condition of maintaining Full Concentration Breathing," Obito agreed.

"After all, it's training," Shisui responded.

Training itself is not meant to be interesting, and his motivation to consistently and effectively complete various training sessions was the improvements following training and Mokgetsu's praises.

"So today, let's try something fun and challenging." Mokgetsu said with a smile.

Seeing Mokgetsu's smile, Obito couldn't help but have a bad premonition and hurriedly said:

"Actually, I think Shisui has a point; training isn't really about being boring or not."

"I'm okay with it. I believe that whatever training Teacher Mokgetsu arranges is definitely what's best suited for us," Shisui expressed his new thoughts after listening to Mokgetsu.

Obito: ...

This made him appear foolish.

"I hope she won't use that terrifying training method again." Thinking of the dark days of the past, Obito couldn't help but shiver.

If there were a choice, Obito would rather battle with a Jonin again than return to those days.

The question-based punishment training is what Obito considers the most horrifying, once making him lose his sense of time, as if every day was Friday, and what followed was endless problem-solving time.
