Jie Ke originally thought Youyu didn't take him seriously at all, which was why he used a monster with only 400 attack points in attack position, plus an obvious trap in the back row to lure him.
Now he realized he was wrong.
It turned out that even that set card in the back row was just a feint, and the real trap was that small, cute magic girl herself.
A double trap!
As expected of the Duel King, experienced and shrewd, with a heart as dark as coal.
But Jie Ke remained calm and didn't feel discouraged in the slightest.
He just got careless, didn't dodge.
Won't be the case later.
"I set a card, ending the turn," said Jie Ke.
"Then it's my turn, draw card." Youyu displayed the magic girl he retrieved last turn, "Summon 'Chocolate Magician Girl' in attack position!"
The green-haired girl fluttered her bat-like wings, stepping lightly out onto the complex magic array, playfully sticking out her tongue, very much like a lively little devil.

"Chocolate Magician Girl's effect, once per turn, discard a Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand, then draw a card from your deck."
Youyu discarded a card from his hand, then drew a card.
"Battle time! First, Kiwi Magician Girl, direct attack on the player!"
Among the magic girls present, Kiwi looked the oldest and most mature... both in face and figure.
The big sister figure stepped forward, raised her magic staff and sent a magical impact hurling through the air.
But Jie Ke was prepared: "Open the set card! Trap Card - Warden Judgment!
Activate when an opponent's monster attacks. Swap a Magic Card from your hand with the top card of your deck, then shuffle your deck. The opponent's monster's attack is negated, and the battle phase is forcibly ended!" (Animation card)
Jie Ke quickly drew a card and returned a card from his hand to the deck. Kiwi's magical impact was deflected before touching the opponent's face.
Jie Ke leisurely shuffled his deck, smiling lightly, "Don't rush, Duel King, the duel has only just begun."
He kept a calm exterior while bantering, but in truth, Jie Ke was under immense pressure.
The pressure of facing the Duel King was greater than he imagined, made worse by the fact that Youyu hadn't even revealed his usual deck, not seeming to take him seriously at all.
This forced Jie Ke to reconsider whether it was wise to quickly jump into this duel.
"Then I switch 'Berry Magician Girl' from defense position back to attack position, ending my turn." said Youyu.

Berry Magician Girl can automatically switch positions when attacked and summon a Magician Girl from the deck.
If she is attacked in defense mode, she automatically switches to attack mode, causing massive damage when attacked.
"Then it's my turn," said Jie Ke, "Draw card!"
No matter what, now there is no retreat for him.
In fact, everyone in the industry commonly acknowledges Duel King Youyu as part of the Kaiba faction.
Much the same way Kaiba Seto's strength supports many aspects of the company, the "Duel King" title atop Youyu's head also brings Kaiba Company many benefits.
But benefits come with risks.
If Jie Ke defeats Youyu here, he too can achieve the goal of "striking at Kaiba Group." Then leveraging his team's publicity, a win could greatly benefit Lloyd Consortium's development.
First, he must give his all to defeat this Duel King... and take advantage of Youyu's overconfidence in using such a seemingly casual deck.
Next time when Youyu switches to his true ace deck, such an opportunity won't come again!
"Activate Magic Card - Pot of Greed, to draw two more cards from the deck."
Jie Ke replenished his hand and upon seeing the newly drawn cards, he couldn't help but smile confidently.
"Seems the goddess of victory still favors me." He raised a card high, "Here it comes, my counterattack signal! Activate! Magic Card - Valkyries' Ride!
This card allows me to Special Summon as many Valkyrie cards as possible from my hand!"
A seven-colored light built a rainbow bridge in midair, connecting the sky.
Armored female warriors with divine swords, riding majestic horses, galloped down the rainbow bridge as if riding from the horizon.

"Witness the power my Valkyries possess," Jie Ke motioned, "Valkyrie Zweite, activate special ability! When this card is successfully summoned, destroy one monster on the field!

Jie Ke's eyes scanned over the magic girls on Youyu's field, then pointed decisively.
"The troublesome 'Berry Magician Girl' for starters!"
After all, he just fell victim to this Magician Girl's effect last turn.
But his actions were completely within Youyu's expectation.
"Berry Magician Girl, activate effect!" Youyu gestured, "When this card becomes a target of an opponent's effect, it switches from attack to defense position, then Special Summons a 'Magician Girl' from the deck!"
Jie Ke was startled, "It can activate its effect even when targeted by an effect!?"
After dueling many NPCs, Youyu had gotten cunning.
Everyone can't see the card effects anyway, so now he only partially explains them, leaving the opponent a bit of room for imagination...

Valkyrie Zweite drew her longsword, slashing through the air, sending a crescent-shaped blade arc splitting Berry Girl into countless points of light that dissipated.
Though she disappeared, she left a transparent magic array on the field. Bright red light flew out from it, forming into a cute magician with bright red spell attire, elegant curves, and fair skin.

"Tsk, another one after another, never ends," scoffed Jie Ke, "Then, activate from my hand, Magic Card - Valkyries' Embrace! Switch one of my 'Valkyrie' monsters on the field to defense mode and banish one monster from the opponent's field from the game!"
He gestured towards the previously activated Valkyrie, "I switch 'Valkyrie Zweite' to defense position! This time to banish... 'Lemon Magician Girl'!"
Last turn, he was trapped by the Lemon Girl's effect, hence, naturally, the next target is her.

As this Valkyrie switched from attack to defense, an intangible force immediately bound Lemon Girl. The magic girl exclaimed, vanishing as her form became transparent and dissipated into golden light.
"Now that troublesome Magician Girl is gone too," scoffed Jie Ke, "They're just a bunch of insignificant girls who can't resist my Valkyries' power.
Battle Phase! Go, Valkyrie Vierte, attack 'Apple Magician Girl'!"
The Valkyrie shouted, pulled the reins, and soared forth on horseback, slashing her sword down towards the red Magician girl's face.
"Apple Magician Girl, activate effect!" Youyu gestured, "Once per turn, when this card is attacked, Special Summon a Spellcaster-type monster of a higher level from your hand, with effects negated! Afterwards, force the opponent's attack target to switch to the summoned monster, halving its attack!" (Animation effect)
"Nani!?" Jie Ke was shocked.

Why do all these magic girls have such reclusive effects?
Valkyrie Vierte charged before Apple Girl, swinging her sword only to feel as if it cut into water.
The red-robed girl playfully winked, her magic staff releasing magic power with a light sweep, causing the Valkyrie's sword to tilt aside.
Ripples spread in the air, lines of magic power like burning black flames. A spherical magic wand emerged from within, and a graceful, snow-white skinned girl flew out of the array, her golden, soft hair unfettered under her magician's hat, surging like a wave in the face of dark magic.
