Amidst the bustling crowd of onlookers, the duel between Youyu and Zigfried Lloyd began.
In the relatively light-hearted KC Chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! DM, Zigfried Lloyd was somewhat a mini-boss.
Although he thought challenging Kaiba to a duel might be a bit arrogant, since he dared to consider it, he must have some credentials.
To say the least, in the KC Cup's qualifying matches in the anime, this guy beat Jonouchi (though our gambling god's starting hand was an accident and he couldn't draw any summonable monsters), which is enough to show his skill.
Moreover, his "Valkyrie" deck was one of the few thematic decks with a unified field in the DM era. It wasn't until many years later that this deck was made into physical cards, and in this era, it already appears to have a decent combo capability.

The naming for the Valkyrie series monsters is straightforward. Six Valkyries, named Valkyrie Erste, Zweite, Dritte, Vierte, Fünfte, and Sechste...
It makes one seriously suspect that the designer skimped on creativity when naming these monsters.
Zigfried added the card to his hand, glancing disdainfully at Youyu's backfield Set Card.
"A 400 attack point attack mode monster, and a set Trap for defense and counterattack...such a half-hearted strategy almost feels insulting to me." he said coldly, "In that case, let me make you take this a bit more seriously."
He drew a card and inserted it into the Duel Disc.

The magic effect activated, countless arrows appeared out of thin air, raining down on Youyu's backfield. The arrows poured down like raindrops, pinning the set card beside Youyu's feet to the floor, immobilizing it.
Youyu also had this card in his hand, and it was one he got from Pandora's starter pack when he first crossed over.
Because it was from the first deck he built since crossing over, he remembered it clearly...
"Anti-Magic Arrows, once activated, prevents both players from activating the effects of Magic and Trap cards until the end of the turn." Jie Ke sneered as he watched Youyu's set card being sealed, "With this, your only means of defense is locked down.
This kind of simple trap can only bully those Normal Duelists, it's useless against me! Pay the price for underestimating me, Duel King!
Battle! Use 'Valkyrie Dritte' to attack 'Berry Magician Girl'!"
The Valkyrie Warrior let out a clear whistle, spurring her horse forward with a long sword in hand. The steed neighed loudly, and the Valkyrie's sharp cry echoed as her sword swung towards the cute little magic girl with a pacifier.
As expected, he fell for it.
The sword swung down, a sharp light sliced through the air, but suddenly a transparent, intricate magic array appeared in front of the tiny magic girl. With a clang, the Valkyrie's unstoppable sword was deflected, making the white horse retreat half a step in surprise.

Jie Ke was surprised, "The Magician Girl changed to Defense position?"
"Because at the moment you attacked, I activated 'Berry Magician Girl's effect!" Youyu said with a wave, "When Berry Magician Girl is targeted for an attack, she can switch to Defense position and then special summon one 'Magician Girl' from the deck!"
By this time, Youyu had already found the card he wanted from his deck and placed it on the Duel Disc.

The steed under the Valkyrie neighed again. It altered its course, charging towards the newly summoned Magician Girl. The Valkyrie's sword flashed, aiming straight for Lemon Girl's white neck.
Yet at that moment, another magic array appeared out of thin air! Lemon-colored light formed a new array in front of the Magician Girl, resembling an unbreakable shield.
"Lemon Magician Girl, effect activates!" Youyu declared, "When she is targeted for an attack, she can special summon a Spellcaster-Type monster from the hand.
If the summoned mage has a higher level than her, the summoned monster's effect is negated." (as per the anime effect)
Youyu drew another card from his hand.
"Come forth! I special summon 'Kiwi Magician Girl' from my hand!"
The lemon-colored array shifted to light blue. A magic girl with a kiwi-themed robe and a cute heart on her forehead emerged from the array, spinning gracefully like dancing, atop a whirling magic array.

Upon seeing the 3D projection of the magic girls for the first time, their figures, curves, and faces, seemingly carved out by Kaiba Company's cutting-edge projection technology, instantly captivated the souls of all the common players.
"Kiwi wife, come home with me!"
"All of them are my wives!"
"Upstairs, what are you thinking?!"
"I lust for her body, I'm honest!"
"..."
Jie Ke frowned, "Summoning three monsters in an instant..."
"Not only that," Youyu smiled, wagging his finger, "When 'Lemon Magician Girl' is selected as an attack target and summons a monster through her effect, the opposing monster's attack target is forcibly changed to the special summoned monster!
And in this scenario, the opponent's monster's Attack is halved!"
"What!?" Jie Ke's expression changed dramatically.
Lemon Magician Girl shouted a cute "Hey," waving her little magic staff to cast a spell. A debuff spell landed on the charging Valkyrie, causing the brave Valkyrie Warrior to feel dizzy and powerless.
