Chapter 9 Part 1: Opening Conflict
Arriving at the room prepared by the Sage, Anna fell silent.
Amy and Ellie watched her with concern, unsure how to comfort her.
Their strength could not lift the burden before Anna.
"Go rest, you two. I need to talk with Sister Anna."
Lu Fei waved his hand, ushering the two girls out.
So Amy and Ellie went to another room, leaving the space for the pair.
Looking at the troubled woman, Lu Fei smiled slightly and reached out to stroke her hair.
