Chapter 437 - Chapter 141: The Mystery of Ian and the Black Phoenix (5)

This actually made Nicolas Flamel somewhat amazed; he first looked at Ian and then at his old friend, his expression becoming thoughtful.

He obviously realized something.

From Albus Dumbledore being willing to hand over The Mirror of Erised, and starting to study the logic behind the Time Converter, he deduced some secrets.

"Thank you, Professor!"

Ian quickly and joyfully stuffed The Mirror of Erised into his money bag, which could fit more than half of Hogwarts and still had plenty of space left.

"I'll be waiting for you in the Headmaster's Office!"

Ian bowed slightly.

Immediately, he started putting on his clothes as he walked towards the door where the black flames had already extinguished, eagerly anticipating seeing Teacher Morgan's happy expression.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Flamel's eyes remained fixed on the Phoenix on Ian's shoulder.

Until Ian's figure completely disappeared.

"I estimate that the Phoenix is the reason he can embark on the Path of Legends. The Proof of Legend wouldn't be so easy to obtain, or so many wizards wouldn't have died with regret over the years."

Nicolas Flamel's tone was full of certainty — simply defeating a Black Demon King, who himself isn't even a legend, definitely wouldn't allow a wizard to set foot on the Path of Legends.

This clearly defies common sense, and contradicts the world's understanding of the Path of Legends. Nicolas Flamel believed that Albus Dumbledore, who has been kept outside the gate of the Legendary Rank, would certainly know this.

"As for this, I am also somewhat surprised, but things have indeed happened right before our eyes." Albus Dumbledore's eyes flickered with a faint light.

"I thought you would tell me he was born a legend, and therefore naturally had a Proof of Legend…" Nicolas Flamel gave his old friend a meaningful look.

"Even I can't make you reveal what's in your heart, tsk tsk, it seems there is indeed a huge secret between you two. I think that must be related to why he was able to obtain the Proof of Legend."

Nicolas Flamel didn't continue to probe. Compared to Ian's very strange appearance of the Proof of Legend, he was more concerned about the mysterious Black Phoenix summoned by Ian.

"I must have seen it somewhere! At least seen a picture of it!"

The old Alchemist tapped his head.

Yet no memory surfaced.

He had lived too many years and too many memories were buried deep in his mind. Seeing Nicolas Flamel's somewhat frustrated expression, Albus Dumbledore's eyes also showed a hint of doubt.

To be honest.

He also felt that the creature Ian summoned didn't quite resemble a pure-blooded Phoenix.

...

While the two old men were still in the underground room, lost in various speculations, Ian had already packed all the fragmented stone chess pieces in the hall outside the underground room into his money bag.

"Soul Hall Anti-Inflammatory! Take me to the Headmaster's Office! It's right above! At this position!"

Ian grabbed the Black Phoenix by its neck, pulling it off his shoulder; he was still somewhat annoyed that Voldemort's soul was intercepted by the Black Phoenix.

"Kekekeke~"

The Black Phoenix screeched eerily twice more, then used its ability to take Ian, vanishing from the pitch-black hall, and the next moment, Ian and it appeared together in a brightly lit room.

"?"

Ian looked around, blinking.

He was instantly bewildered.

He saw.

In the warm and bright room.

Another Albus Dumbledore was sitting behind the desk.

He was smiling.

As if he had long been waiting.
