Chapter 32 - She Was Perfect for him

As Jossy took her seat, Noah leaned forward, his elbows resting lightly on the table. His voice filled the silence, carrying the weight of authority. "Walk us through your digital strategy," he said, directing the question toward Jossy. "What challenges are you running into, and where do you see opportunities for growth?"

Jossy hesitated before answering, then began speaking with confidence. The nerves she had carried when he first appeared began to dissolve as she slipped into her element. Marketing was her territory, and once she was there, her voice steadied, her words precise.

But Noah wasn't just listening. He was watching. Every time she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, every fidget of her fingers, just like she used to do back in college, he noticed. At first, he thought she might be nervous because of him. Afraid, maybe. But then he caught the determination in her eyes, the fire in her tone when she spoke of her ideas, and his chest warmed. She belonged here. She was a natural in this space, perfectly aligned with Lennox's vision.

Perfect for the company.

And, he thought, perfect for me.

George caught Noah losing focus. He slowly cleared his throat, pushing the meeting forward. "We can now move to the main agenda of this meeting," he said, a little sharper than intended.

Noah only nodded, his expression unreadable, but the way his gaze lingered on Jossy made it impossible to ignore how distracted he was.
