'I'd like that, but would you agree?'
Yusei rolled his eyes at Utaha and directly moved past this unrealistic topic.
"We can specify the request later, but it definitely has to be a condition both parties agree to."
"In that case... sure!"
Utaha didn't hesitate much and nodded in agreement directly.
When it came down to it, she still didn't believe Yusei could learn those drawing techniques just by standing behind someone and watching.
Before the class bell rang, the two had returned to their respective classrooms.
The happiest thing today was finding out his deskmate was Megumi, and that Utaha would be going with him to the department store this weekend.
Since she wanted to witness Yusei's 'learning' ability firsthand, she decided to go along.
They agreed to meet at the school gate at 9 a.m. on the weekend and then take the train there.
…
The day's classes ended quickly. At 3 p.m., the dismissal bell rang.
Yusei didn't have any club activities, so he directly picked up his school bag and left the school gate.
However, he didn't go straight home. Instead, he planned to stroll around the city, especially to check out some large dojos.
The incident with the thugs today made him realize that having some martial arts skills would be good.
With his Sharingan, he could quickly copy and learn any technique.
With such a great advantage, of course, he should learn more things.
Not that he was afraid of any threats with the Sharingan anyway.
The first place he went to was a major dojo he found online, which taught Karate, a traditional Japanese's martial art.
There was no helping it… it was the most well-known in Japan. And according to online introductions and recommendations, this Karate dojo was also the best.
This dojo was located on the third floor of a building, not a traditional dojo.
Yusei didn't mind these details and went upstairs to check it out.
After going upstairs, Yusei suddenly realized he had come at a good time.
The dojo was currently holding a match.
It was an internal competition, with both participants being students. This disappointed Yusei a bit.
The dojo instructor also noticed Yusei watching from outside but didn't pay him much mind, as there were quite a few people like that… wanting to see the situation first before deciding whether to enroll.
The instructor was quite confident in this regard. Even in Tokyo, where strong competitors were numerous, their dojo was very famous, with many students enrolling each semester.
What he didn't know was that Yusei had already thought about leaving, an idea that came after watching the students' match.
"Too weak. They all seem like just for show," Yusei muttered, especially after seeing the moves demonstrated by the guy with the black belt around his waist.
The speed wasn't fast, but the power was quite strong, and there were no particularly tricky angles. Yusei was confident he could dodge them.
He wanted a dojo where he would feel the opponent was strong even when using the Sharingan.
This one... better forget it.
And also, fist-to-fist combat didn't really suit him. Having a weapon was definitely better.
'Should I try Kendo?'
In Japan, there are many Kendo dojos, you could even say they're everywhere.
But this is modern times, and some ancient Kendo styles have declined a lot. The Kendo practiced in dojos nowadays isn't necessarily very powerful.
It might be just for show, like this Karate dojo.
But just then, an old man in a kimono next to him burst out laughing.
"The kid's right, it's all just for show!"
The white-haired old man didn't lower his voice. Being this arrogant right at the entrance of someone else's dojo... definitely felt like there was something formidable behind him.
Yusei also felt a bit awkward because he noticed all the surrounding gazes were focused on him and the old man beside him.
These gazes came not only from the onlookers but also from the instructors inside the dojo who heard the remark.
Seeing the unfriendly look in the black belt instructor's eyes, he clearly thought Yusei and the old man were a master-disciple pair here to challenge the dojo.
The Karate dojo's instructors exchanged a few words, and then one middle-aged man walked over with a serious expression.
"Are you here to challenge the dojo?"
"No." The old man shook his head decisively, explaining very honestly, "I just agree with what this kid said about your techniques being all for show."
When the old man said 'No', the Karate instructor's expression softened slightly, but upon hearing the latter part, he instantly flew into a rage.
This anger was also directed at the innocent Yusei standing nearby.
