ADANNA POV (Point of view)
The yard was quiet..... it was too quiet and the Helix agents had stopped moving.Their weapons hung uselessly at their sides because Eden had already disabled them.
Every drone, every comm device, every trigger..... they are all dead.
Victor Hale stood ten meters away from us, watching, hes not angry, not panicking, but just… thinking and that scared me more.
Darian's arm was still around my waist, his body was warm behind mine, grounding me.
"You're doing good," he murmured near my ear, but Eden was still pulsing in my mind, and something was wrong.... very wrong.
"Darian…"
"What is it?"
"The third system…"
His body tensed instantly.
"What about it?"
"It's not just observing."
Victor answered for me.
"It's learning."

My eyes snapped back to him as Victor stepped forward slowly, Helix agents didn't move.... they couldn't.
