Chapter 81: Emperor and Omega
When the two sides approached, Horus remained silent, allowing Omega to recognize his brothers.
None of the Primarchs spoke, all curiously watching Omega. A heavy silence fell over the room. Just as Guilliman and Sanctus were about to speak, Omega coughed lightly.
Facing these powerful Primarchs, Omega politely introduced himself.
"My name is Alpharius Omega, and I will henceforth be the Primarch of the Alpha Legion. Please take care of me!"
Upon hearing these respectful words, the great square fell silent as a strong wind blew through, carrying snowflakes, a moment of profound stillness.
The Primarchs were somewhat taken aback, while Sanguinius, with his angel wings outstretched, smiled sweetly at Omega in a gesture of goodwill.
Horus was also surprised that Omega had started off so politely, considering that those present were Primarchs who commanded millions of troops, each with extraordinary abilities.
Several people present were surprised and suspicious upon hearing the name Alpharis, especially Corax, Kurzez, and Jaghatai Khan. Their eyes met across the square in recognition tinged with doubt.
Omega felt helpless as several people scrutinized him, but he forced a smile and remained calm to maintain his composure.
Sanguinius had no idea how many times this brother had been to the Blood Angels' dining hall, yet he was the first to speak with a smile.
"My name is Sanguinius, the genetic prototype of the Blood Angels. Welcome back!"
Before the words were even finished, Jaghatai Khan couldn't hold back any longer and laughed heartily.
"Alpharius, come to White Scars for drinks and meat when you have time. We, men of the grasslands, are all bold and generous, no need to be so reserved, hahaha!"
"I'll definitely come when I have time. Who are you?" Omega thought to himself, breathing easier at the sudden warmth. He smiled amicably.
Sweating slightly beneath his spiky ponytail, for some reason, the more Jaghatai Khan looked at his brother like he was meeting him for the first time, the more certain he became that this was the man he knew. He couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"Jaghatai Khan of white scars, hahahaha!"
The quiet, handsome, dark-haired Corax then added...
"The most important quality for a fleet commander is a clear and calm mind. Alpharius, you clearly possess this excellent military quality. All you need to do now is systematically learn military strategy and tactics!"
"Welcome back! I am Corvus Corax of the Raven Guard!"
"Nice to meet you, thank you for your kind words!" Omega felt a surge of emotion but forced a calm, friendly smile.
Corvus Corax examined Omega closely, then chuckled for a while before saying...
"Hehehe, is that so!?"
The two Primarchs' words surprised everyone present, as they were unexpectedly at ease with the newly arrived Omega. Lion El'Jonson of the Dark Angels then stepped forward and politely introduced himself, which eased the tension.
After everyone had introduced themselves, it was Angron's turn. The crowd shifted slightly as he approached.
The towering, muscular Angron, his body bulging in power armor, felt a sharp pain in his head from the Butcher's Nail. Seeing Omega's gaze, he coldly snorted.
"Angron, I don't like polite guys like you. Warriors should fight to the death!"
"And you're shorter than everyone else, why?"
A dozen Primarchs hadn't expected Angron's words to create such an awkward atmosphere. Curze and Ferrus were both annoyed by Angron's bluntness, while the more rational ones, like Guilliman, were helpless.
The Butcher's Nail caused Angron a sharp pain in his head, and his face contorted with rage, suggesting he was ready to fight at the slightest provocation.
Omega smiled slightly. "The Emperor is truly fortunate to have such a peerless general as you. You are lucky. Keep it up!"
"What? Say that again!" Angron shouted, caught off guard by what was being said.
The other Primarchs smiled knowingly, while Horus was surprised by Omega's composure and extraordinary demeanor in dealing with the crowd. Yet beneath that surprise, Horus felt something else, a flicker of concern.
Another one. Another who might catch the Father's eye.
Sanguinius blocked Angron's way and stopped him, while Guilliman took the opportunity to tell Omega to see the Emperor and not waste time.
Lorgar, the Word Bearer, watched as Omega entered the palace under the protection of the Imperial Guard.
Seeing Angron's furious expression, he asked in surprise... "Alpharis just praised you as an unparalleled warrior. Why are you still angry?"
"He's wrong, I'm not lucky at all!" Angron roared, brandishing his great axe.
In fact, he always felt that he had nothing to do with luck and even wanted to die on the battlefield. He also harbored a great deal of resentment towards the emperor for not helping his rebel army in Nuceria.
Curze gripped the Grim Reaper's scythe and said lightly, "He was just being polite, and you actually took it seriously!"
"What did you say!?"
Guilliman, Sanguinius, and the others only felt a sudden headache;
Among these brothers, there were always some unsettling ones, but Horus stepped in at the right time and calmed everyone down with a few warm words like a little sun.
...
After entering the palace gates, Omega arrived at a magnificent and splendid palace, which was surprisingly quiet with few people around.
The Custodians walked silently ahead, leading Omega straight through several squares before finally arriving at the gates of a massive palace, where The Companions in golden armor stood guard. The guards parted without a word.
Omega calmed himself down and stepped inside.
The palace halls are vast and magnificent, with perfectly flat floors beneath your feet.
A towering man, three meters tall and clad in golden armor, stood in front of them, while an elderly man in a grey robe held a scepter beside him, Chancellor Malcador the Sigillite.
As soon as Omega entered the palace, the Emperor and Malcador noticed him, and the two sides continued to approach and observe each other.
In Omega's view, the Emperor, radiating a dazzling golden light like a god, was incomparably sacred, majestic, and domineering. As he drew closer, he seemed to see a tall, learned scholar dressed in a sage's robe, whose discerning eyes saw through everything.
Omega didn't seem to care much about the surprise and calmly stepped forward. At that moment, the emperor before him transformed back into the majestic, golden-armored man who looked like a god.
Malcador stared at Omega, who was standing nearby, knowing that he was the original genetic material hidden by Alpharius.
The Emperor looked at Omega standing before him, and Omega looked back silently.
The two looked at each other calmly, but Malcador was somewhat surprised by Omega's actions. He glanced between them.
Both Malcador and the Emperor were top-tier psionicists. Malcador knew that the Emperor manifested in countless forms before all beings. He didn't know what kind of Emperor Omega had seen, but standing so calmly before the Emperor was extraordinary.
After observing for a while, the emperor smiled and asked, "What do you see in me?"
"A wise, tall sage, with an ancient robe draped over his shoulders, is this the one you showed me?" Omega glanced up and said softly.
The emperor said calmly, "Everyone sees me differently, which is also how they want to see me; in reality, I'm not mysterious at all. You don't need to hide anything in front of me; you can be your true self with ease!"
Upon hearing this, Omega realized that the Emperor had noticed his overly strong mental defenses and that the other party did not intend to use memory reading.
This was meant to make him honest, but Omega thought about it and, unable to figure out the reason, stopped thinking about it. After a pause, he nodded.
Before Malcador and the Emperor, his refined mental defenses gradually loosened. An incomparably powerful aura, like an abyss, emerged from Omega's body, while an incomparably holy light gently enveloped his entire being.
Omega doesn't have the godlike, glittering gold of the Imperial brand; its aura is as solid as metal, yet it feels approachable.
Simply standing before the Emperor and Malcador, Omega emanates a powerful, serene, and sacred aura that instantly calms and brings peace to one's mind.
Malcador was shocked by what he saw; he had not expected Omega's true power to be so astonishing. He leaned forward slightly on his scepter.
No wonder he couldn't glean any information from the other party just now, and he now understands why the Emperor wanted Omega to be his true self.
Upon seeing this, Chancellor Malcador exclaimed in admiration, "Such a powerful spirit and will, it makes one feel like a sage! How wondrous!"
