After Harry asked if she was McGonagall her face showed a look of shock having been expecting a little bo with unruly black hair with vibrant green eyes and the lighting bolt scar instead why she found was a relatively tall child with smooth long white hair and vibrant violet eyes and even though it was almost invisible she could just barely make out the scar on his head, McGonagall slowly recovered from the shock of Harry's look "hello Mr potter I presume and yes I am Minerva McGonagall the deputy headmistress of hogwarts school of witch craft an wizardry" as McGonagall replied Harry mentally told plush trap to stay at a distance so as to not be found.
"Mr potter In your letter you had said you needed help to find the alley and although you are not a muggle born it is to my knowledge that you had been left at your relatives" McGonagall had not been told that Harry was not at the Dursleys anymore as dumbledor did not want a panic to ensue from such information "yes I used to stay with the Dursleys however I do believe we should start our trip to the magical world" Mcgonagall agreed and walked Harry to the side of the park near the road and held out her wand, moments later a large bus appeared out of thin air with a man come out from the inside introducing himself as Stan.
Stan welcomed them to the knight bus a magical transportation, McGonagall led Harry onto the bus and during the entrance into the bus Harry sent a mental command to plush trap for him to follow their bond and he'd leave something to indicate where the magical world entrance is for him. The ride to the leaky cauldron the name of the pub where the magical world's entrance was according to McGonagall was relatively short only a few minutes and they were there.
The leaky cauldron was a shabby pub in between two shops, Harry and McGonagall headed inside and made their way to the wall in the back thankfully in Harry's mind nobody but the bar keeper seemed to notice them and tom the bar keeper simply gave a hello to both of them, Harry had subtly left a small paper ball with a small bit of magic outside the pubs door and another in the alley. Harry and McGonagall passed through the gateway opened by McGonagall and entered diegonally and quickly made their way to the bank on the way McGonagall had answer some questions posed by Harry mainly around his family, Harry had learned that his parents names were lily and James potter that he had a god father name Sirius black but that he had betrayed his parents to a person name he why must not be named or as he had eventually gotten out of McGonagall the name Voldemort.
The two made it to the bank and made their way up to a counter where a goblin was weighing a gem on a scale, McGonagall made a cough sound that got the goblin to look up at them then McGonagall stated "Mr potter wishes to make a withdrawal" the goblin asked "does Mr potter have his key" McGonagall then pulled out a golden key and handed it to the goblin after a check of the key the goblin led them to a cart where another goblin took them down to the vault during the ride Harry got the key from McGonagall stating since he was the owner of the vault he should be the one to have the key and McGonagall did not have any reason to refuse to hand th key over.
At the vault entrance Harry asked McGonagall how much a typical student would need for supplies getting a response of around 130 gallons for a typical students supplies, Harry decided to take about 240 a bit extra so he can get anything that caught his eye while shopping and thy made their way back to the entrance of th bank, McGonagall said "we should get your wand first as this can take a long time for olavander to find the right wand for you" Harry was a bit uncertain about using a wand since he's been fine without one and felt ridicules about needing to use a stick for magic but followed anyways to the wand shop,
Inside the wand store no one was around until a old man came from the back "fir wood and dragon heart sting 9 and 1/2 inches rather stiff most suitable for transfiguration I see you've taken good care of your wand miss McGonagall" the old man then saw Harry "ah Mr potter I see your her for your wand ah I remember it like it was yesterday that our parents were here getting their first wands willow 10 and 1/4 inches long and swishy good for charms and mahogany 11 inches pliable good for transfiguration" Harry had gotten some new information about his parents mainly what wands they had.
Harry tuned back into why olavander was saying "well I say your father favored the wand but it is the wand that chooses the wizard" quickl curing in McGonagall said he should start getting harry a wand, snapping out of his trance olavander agreed and pulled a wand from the shelf maple and phoenix feather 7 inches quite whippy only for olavander to take back the wand "no not quite right" olavander whispered, pulling out another ebony unicorn hair 8 and 1/2 inches springy olavander asked Harry to give it a wave only for nothing to happen this response quite puzzled olavander as all wands typically give some kind of response even when rejecting a wizard or witch, taking back the wand olavander had Harry try many wands even one he believed would have worked the holy and phoenix feather wand but it also gave no response at all this situation left olavander completely confused never having wand that just refused to respond and he could tell Harry had magic clear by the simmer in his eye but it was as though the wands and Harry's magic simply couldn't mix olavander then came to a conclusion, "well Mr potter it seems no wand will work for you though I do have a option that might interest you though it hasn't been used in quite some time with the modernization of wands you can make your own focus to channel and improve your magic since I can't help you get a wand I'll give you some wand making books nothing advanced just information on what wand cores and woods are used for and why they are used so you may in the future make your own focus I also have a book on focuses I had once studied though I never really used it" after saying all this olavander handed over 3 books one was a note book containing olavanders notes on woods another was the same except it was about cores and the last was a book called "magical focuses: the wizards guide to magical focuses" it seemed to be a book mainly showing the types of focuses wizards used and where they are primarily found he saw a few some what recognizable items from fantasy books he had read once staves, wands, grimoire's and even hand signs as Harry and McGonagall left olavander he called out "I hope to one day see what your focuse might be in the future I can expect great things from you Mr potter perhaps some may see it as terrible"
