As Elior began walking to school, it was peaceful. Students beaming from ear to ear, chatting and chattering as they were going to class.
Amid all the excitement, only one person was not one of happiness. Not that it had been since he arrived but the grimness became more and more as the week went by

Elior walked and stepped into the class and took his seat as usual. Elior spotted Kain who was chatting with other students.
'To think that my character with such potential will turn into a villain.'
Elior focused on Professor Eldrich Thronwell's class. The man had a habit of turning every session into one where the book does not matter but students should think outside the book.
Elior commended him because he knew out of many in the world, Professor Eldrich had the reached the rank of Master without any help.
As professor Eldrich class ended, Elior walked into Mistress Arwen. Elior nodded as Mistress Arwen nodded back at him.
"Good morning class"
"For today, I have a special announcement, I know some of you have been at the edge of your seats watching your classmate's fight. I have come up with some fights and you people can specially bet on these fights"
"You would see their names on the sheet there and let the fights begin"
Elio`r watched as the students stormed to check the sheet. Mistress Arwen stood beside him
"Guess your plan worked kid"
"Yeah, could not have done it without you"
Elior left Mistress Arwen side to check the names on the sheet too
The names were as follow
Aiden Cross Vs Elira Noxveil
Drax Kraken vs Kael Draven
Aria Lysveil vs Seren Valenor
Seris Althorne vs Liora D'Arthein
Ravyn Astraea vs Selene Valtoria
Kain vs Elior Vayne
Elior looked at the sheet and smiled as everything was going according to how he proposed it to Mistress Arwen.
He turned to look at Aria with the corner of his eye who was visibly shaking
'Sorry Kain, but I am going to need something from you'
The students started placing the bet.
For the first fight which was Aiden cross against Elira Noxveil. Elior had bet his 20 gold coins on Aiden.
Most of the students placed the same bet on Aiden and some bet on Elira.
The fight was nerve wrecking; students were at the edge of their seats because it was the first time they had placed money on something or someone
Elior seeing the students at their edge just smiled
"Welcome to the world Kiddos"
Aiden won by a landslide and Elior won 20 gold coins in exchange.
And so, the other fights went like that, Students made bets. Some won and some lost but Elior did not seem to lose.
At the end of the fifth battle, Elior had made 100 gold coins.
'Nice work kids, things have been made easier for me'
The winners of the five fights were Aiden, Kael, Seren, Ravyn and surprisingly Seris. The fifth battle, Elior was sure of the outcome but strongly hoped for Seris to come on top.
For the sixth battle, over seventy percent had bet on Elior due to his display against Drax but the remaining thirty percent had bet on Kain.
Among those thirty, Elior had bet on Kain but used a different alias.
Why, Elior had no intention of winning
'I need to get just a strand of Kain hair, I am ready to throw in the towel just for that'
Elior and Kain walked into the arena.
"I hope Elior can win, I placed my money on him"
"I hope too but we just placed a bet on his performance was based on his dodging against Drax nothing more"
The whispers echoed round the hall but Elior paid no attention whatsoever.
Mistress Arwen signaled her hand and both students bowed.
Elior and Kain both bowed in sync and moved swiftly
Elior used wind to boost his speed as he moved. He had intended to make this fight an eye catching one before losing dramatically.
"Fratus" Kain shouted as ice spears shot towards Elior.
Elior sliced the spears with Kurotsume which he had clothed in aura. Slicing through the ice spears, Elior used it as diversion.
"Ignum" Elior cloaked himself in darkness, as he sneaked past
"Where is he?" Kain and both the students wondered.
Elior kicked Kain from behind sending Kain flying.
As Kain hit the ground, Kain chanted "Rixum" which formed a gigantic earth monster.
Its form was monstrous, no one at their level could create that.
Elior understood why it was possible for Kain

It had resonated with Kain inner thoughts. Elior frowned at it, he understood that Kain corruption was getting closer and closer to completion.
As the monster charged, Elior moved swiftly, the monster hurled earth spikes and boulders toward Elior, which he dodged with swift precision.
Elior dodged them with swift precision and jumped up in the air, as Elior was in the air; the monster opened its mouth ready to use its ultimate move.
As the monster opened its mouth, Elior used one of the moves he had learned with his wind arcana
"Siskom"—the ability to manipulate wind currents to walk on air.
Using that, Elior jumped down at speed before using Aura Slash to slash the monster in half.
The whole place went into eruption, it was nothing compared to the previous fights but enough to make those who bet on him happy.
Elior charged at Kain but the blue screen appeared as he charged

'Yeah, Yeah, I understand. Let us wrap this up'
Elior charged at Kain and held him by the hair. As Kain struggled to release, some strands cut which Elior stored in his cloth swiftly
As Kain pulled away, for a brief, just a brief moment, his eyes resembled that of a demon.
He shouted "Fratim"
A giant boulder hit Elior as Elior fell on the ground.
Elior struggled to get up as Kain pointed his staff at Elior signaling the end of the fight.
The whole place was in shock.
Congratulations erupted for Kain as Elior looked at the ceiling.
Elior was glad, he had made 400 gold coins in total. The odd was against Kain but Elior had to lose to get the prize.
'Huh', Elior felt his body go numb
The blue screen appeared again
