Chapter 3 - Am I in someone else's body?

Yakuya, in Mitsuko's body, felt as if everything around him was beginning to sink into a state of disarray. When he heard Grandma's voice calling him, he felt something strange going through him, he was unable to fully comprehend the situation. "Is that my name?" He muttered in a low voice, trying to assert himself in this strange reality.

Grandma entered the room and saw Mitsuko, who seemed to be half awake. She knew Mitsuko tended to sleep for long periods in the morning, but this was different. It seemed to her that the girl in front of her was not in her normal state.

"Mitsuko, aren't you awake yet?" Grandma said, a little surprised. She was waiting for her to respond, but the reaction was strange.

Yakuya, trying to sound normal, answered in an unsure voice: "Yes... yes, I am awake... but it seems I am half asleep."

Grandma looked at him in amazement. "You're not asleep, but it seems like you need to focus more. Come on, hurry up and get ready for school."

Yakuya, in Mitsuko's body, was trying to look normal, but he couldn't hide his confusion. "Yes, I'll get ready... just a little while." He had to adapt to this situation, but it was clear that Granny did not suspect anything unusual.

Grandma, in turn, smiled and walked out of the room, leaving Yakuya to face himself in a new mirror, the mirror of Mitsuko's body, trying to understand how he could move forward in this predicament.

Yakuya, who was sitting at the table and trying to eat as casually as possible, felt those surprised looks from Grandma and Neriko. He knew he had to be calm and focused so as not to arouse suspicion. But Granny and Neriko were watching him closely.

"Are you okay, Mitsuko?" Grandma asked him, in a slightly concerned tone, but looking a little puzzled. She knew that Mitsuko usually didn't eat with such politeness and concentration, but was often confused or hasty.

Yakuya, who was trying his best to act like Mitsuko, raised his head with a slight smile and said, "Yes, I'm fine. I just... I just feel the need to focus this morning."

Neriko, who was watching closely, noticed something strange in her 'sister's actions, but said nothing. She was aware that Mitsuko was in an unusual mood sometimes, but she wasn't sure why this morning.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Neriko said, sounding less convincing than Granny. "I've never seen you like this before."

Yakuya, who was trying to keep calm, took another bite of his food and tried to change the subject, saying, "Maybe I just need some time. Don't worry."

But it seemed that Granny and Neriko were not entirely convinced.

When Yakuya arrived at school, he felt very confused by the way he dressed. He was not accustomed to the details of the girls' daily lives, and had difficulty coping with everything. He felt the weight of the clothes on him increase with every step, and he noticed how completely untidy his clothes were. His hair was also messy, tied up incorrectly, making it look like he had just woken up from a long sleep.

Classmates at school noticed his strange appearance, and some of them stared at him with surprised looks, especially when they passed him in the hallways. He felt something strange pressing inside him, as if all the eyes of the school were following him.

It wasn't just his appearance that was confusing, there was something deeper inside him that made him feel uncomfortable. But Yakuya tried as much as possible to remain calm and appear as normal as possible despite everything.

When he arrived at class, there was a short moment of silence as the girls looked at Mitsuko, who was strange of the day. Their looks were full of question. Yakuya tried to avoid those glances as much as possible, but he felt unable to hide his feeling of not belonging to this body that did not belong to him.

Rita, who was sitting close to Yakuya, noticed his hesitation and silence when he called her. She repeated the name "Mitsuko" louder, but Yakuya, still caught in the confusion from the body change, didn't immediately pay attention to her. He wasn't used to hearing that name, and his subconscious was still struggling to accept the new situation.

Rita called him back, this time in a puzzled tone: "Mitsuko? Are you okay?"

At that moment, Yakuya felt as if time had stopped. He suddenly raised his head and realized that he was no longer Mitsuko, but was in her body, something he couldn't accept yet. But he couldn't reveal what happened, he couldn't tell the truth without raising more suspicions.

"I-I'm fine," Yakuya said, trying to control his tone of voice, "I wasn't hearing well." He smiled awkwardly, while trying to avoid Rita's inquiring gaze.

Rita, who was watching closely, sensed something strange in Mitsuko's actions. Something seemed off, perhaps not in her usual actions or reactions. But she decided to keep it to herself for a moment.

"Okay, if you're okay, we can go to class now," Rita said, deflecting the situation rationally.

Yakuya, who was feeling that time was passing slowly at that moment, replied lopsidedly: "Yes, let's go."

As the group moved towards class, Yakuya couldn't shake the strange feeling he had. His thoughts were scattered, and he did not know where this adventure in a body he did not know would lead him.

When Yakuya returned home after a long day, his mind was still clouded with confusion and questions about what had happened in recent days. He sat at the table with Grandma and Neriko, and ate dinner in silence, trying to deal with this strange overlap between what was real and what was a dream. Their eyes were still full of questions, while he himself was evading the answer.

After dinner, he went up to Mitsuko's room. He stood in front of the bed for a long time, as if he was trying to comprehend the new reality he had become. The room was quiet, the lights dim, but his mind was in a state of calm

He sat on the bed, took a deep breath, and looked into the mirror opposite. Yakuya, this body, this life, were all completely out of his mind. He smiled puzzledly as he ran his hands over his face. "This is so hard. Girls' lives are so tiring," he whispered to himself, feeling lost in this new body.

Then, suddenly, that thought vanished, and his tone suddenly changed. He rose from the bed and made an unexpected movement, as if an inner voice had entered his mind and awakened him from his slumber. He looked around the room, as if he was slowly experiencing this change. "But...this is a dream too," he said in a low voice, closing his eyes slightly as he recalled a thought that might be more exciting.

"I'm in a girl's body... I can do whatever I want, and it won't be considered harassment. Right?" The idea was seeping through his mind like an electric spark. It was a logical game in his view, or perhaps it was an attempt to cling to whatever power remained over this strange life he lived.

But despite those thoughts that were floating around his mind, there was a strange feeling that haunted him, as if he was trying to find an excuse for what he was going through, as if this body was nothing but a passing dream. With all this sudden change, he has a conflicting feeling between wanting to explore this new reality and being wary of the consequences that may result from those desires.

Yakuya fell asleep as he was, not even bothering to change out of his school clothes. He didn't pay attention to it, his mind was full of tangled thoughts about what had happened.

The next morning, he woke up feeling strangely relieved; His body was normal, everything was back to how it was. He stood in front of the mirror to make sure, his usual features reflected in front of him.

"Was it all just a dream?" He muttered to himself, before sighing deeply. "I should have taken a chance with that female body..." he said, smiling faintly, as if He couldn't answer. He remained silent, while his family exchanged looks between light laughter and curiosity, leaving Yakuya lost in his tangled thoughts.

Yakuya was lost in thought, trying to find a logical explanation for what he had gone through the day before. Everything seemed strange and unnatural, but if he had entered Mitsuko's body, was it possible that she had entered his body as well? This idea was constantly wrapping around his mind, as if it were the key to solving all the mysteries he was still facing.

Yakuya (whispering): "If I entered that girl's body... is it possible that she also entered mine? That's the only logical explanation..."

His mind was filled with questions and wonders about how this could happen. If so, it means that Mitsuko had the same experience as him, and perhaps she too had lived a strange life, just as he had.

But in a moment of deep thought, Yakuya realized that thinking about this matter would not help him much. He had to focus on what he was actually doing now. If Mitsuko had gone through what he went through, it would have been more complicated than he could realize at the moment.

Yakuya (in a calm voice): "I have to focus on what's happening now. I can't live in a world of fantasy or illogical interpretation."

With those thoughts in his mind, he decided to put the stress aside and go on with his day, trying to act as normal as possible, even though that day was different from any other.

At the breakfast table, Yakuya was lost in thought, trying to understand what was going on. But his father's voice gently interrupted him:

"What's wrong with you, Yakuya? Eat your breakfast."

Yakuya raised his head and looked at the food in front of him, but he felt heaviness in his stomach.

"I'm not hungry...I'm going to school. Bye."

Lumia looked at him suspiciously, then said, raising an eyebrow:

"It's too early. We still have an hour!"

"It's okay..." Yakuya said coldly as he got up, ignoring the questioning looks of his family.

He left the house with quick steps, taking advantage of the silence and cool air to clear his mind. He stopped at a small café on the road, and entered without thinking. He sat down by the window and glanced out at the quiet street.

"Black coffee, please." He said to the employee, trying to take his mind off everything.

Moments later, the employee returned with a cup of coffee.

"Your order is ready, sir."

"Can I pay over the phone?" Yakuya asked as he pulled out his phone.

"naturally." The employee replied with a smile.

But when Yakuya tried to pay, an error message appeared on the screen. He tried again, but the result was the same.

"Sorry, your wallet is empty." The employee said in an apologetic tone.

Yakuya froze for a moment, then looked at his phone in amazement.

"What?! I had over $70 yesterday. Where did they go?"

I kept checking, but the amount was completely gone. He took a deep breath, and his eyes gradually widened as a disturbing thought crossed his mind.

"That girl... must have distracted them when she entered my body!" He muttered to himself in a low voice, his features filled with anger and tension.

He looked at the coffee in front of him, then at the employee who was staring at him waiting to pay. Yakuya tried to regain his calm, but he couldn't ignore the thought that what happened yesterday wasn't just an illusion.
