"Where and when are we going?"
"We're going to a place parallel to our time."
"Pardon?"
"Another timeline. One where Scott became the leader of Backtown and dabbled in necromancy for some time."
With the signaling ding of an oven bell, they were sent to a black and white world where they were the only colorful things. Unlike in our world where everything is colorful and mostly grey in morals, this world had become very one note as everything was colorless, good and bad only. TODD explained it before flying off with a chuckle as he replayed a clip of Scott hitting his head on the corner of a table.
"What do we do?"
BB opened his palm to see a sticky note. It said, take out evil Scott.
"Scott, aren't you a dictator?"
"Was for a little bit."
"Where would you be if you took over Backtown?"
"Easy, the biggest place possible."
The backwardness of Backtown was replaced by it looking almost exactly like Rome. A church was in the center of the town.
"What do you think, are you a cult leader or no?"
Screams of pain came out of the church as they stormed it. Scott was the first one to act as he fired three shots through the door before, he even entered. A knife flew out of the church towards Scott before a headless man dressed like a Victorian noble.
"Does this answer your question, BB?"
"I don't know. It's pretty hard to like you."
BB knelt next to the headless man. He had a necklace which was very ironic as he was half neckless. At the end of the necklace was a locket that had words inscribed in them. BB read them out loud.
"I'm Headless Heckle."
"What was going on in there?"
They walked in whilst the creature stayed near Scott. Inside was a myriad of corpses that all seemed to have every drop of water removed from their bodies. One man was at the podium as he was basically screaming the rambling ideas from his head.
"Is that... me?"
The man was Scott. He was dressed as his colorful counterpart, but it was obvious he was just as insane if not more. The two drew a pistol at the same time and broke into a dance almost as they fired bullets throughout the church that mirrored one another. They flipped and turned at the same time. They even fired bullets that hit each other's projectiles.
"Should we do something?"
Sears shook his head left and then right.
"I'm more interested in how he's fired twenty bullets from a twelve-bullet magazine. Ask the real questions BB."
Mistress came forward. She made the version of Scott with black lips and dark sunken eyes fall to the ground. The other Scott was yelling and kicking at the enemy before Joey and Sears dragged him away.
"Who are you? Why are you like that? Who are you? Wait, I already asked that question."
This version of Scott was rotten. He didn't look pale as the makeup insisted but he was a creature with no features on his face besides white hair that formed into mutton chops on the side of his head, no eyes were on his skull as they were simply smooth sockets and a nose that was the only part that poked out.
In this world of black and white, Scott was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"Get away from him."
Headless Heckle took a swing at Mistress and BB who were semi holding the evil Scott back. Though, the calm words were not from the headless, but from a familiar and feminine voice. The knife of the Yorks, Alexandria of York. Shortly after becoming supreme god leader of Backtown, he dabbled in necromancy and eventually brought back a loyal old friend. He even had his own rogue's gallery. They were nowhere near as dark as Scott but still. She stood on a hanging beam, and her face wasn't illuminated. She was older, near BB's age. She wore dark black clothes that showed a thin but muscular build. And her face was covered with a black bandana. A lightning bolt struck outside and illuminated the room to show that a part of her face was still eaten and in some zombie's gullet.
"Nice to see the whole gang's together."
"Well, we're about to be minus one."
Scott somehow overpowered Joey and Sears and ran full force towards his evil version just to be stopped by Alexandria. This was less a reunion and more like what people first thought seeing those old horror movies from the first half of the twentieth century. BB let go of the evil variant and began to get out a glass of jam and his journal whilst began to enjoy his time her whilst Mistress and Scott fought the evil version and Alexandria.
This feels scary. Usually, I'm rooting for the monsters in movies, but this is what it feels like to be on the receiving end of it all.
This place scares me. Friends fight friends and such.
Wow, I can't believe I called them friends.
