Chapter 3 - ultimate uzumaki

Gojo's POV

After I parted ways with Suguru, Yuki and I made our way through the shopping center — I wanted to buy some new action figures. After all, Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger was the best!

I even picked up a new pair of glasses, completely blacked out. Afterwards, we waited for a ride from the main family. While waiting, I decided to set up a barrier.

"Curtain!" I said. Yuki immediately noticed.

"Before we leave, Yuki — you are not to report the findings about Suguru Geto having the ability to absorb special grades. Understand? You can report that the curse spoke, and that I killed it. Nothing more, understood?"

I took off my glasses, letting my expression show my resolve.

"Yes, young master Gojo," Yuki replied, visibly nervous.

"Great!" I said cheerfully, dispelling the barrier as our ride finally pulled up.

We climbed into the limo and began the drive back to the family estate. When we passed through the gates, I was once again greeted by the modest statue of our founder, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom. Their simple elegance always amazed me.

Still, to think — we're doing so poorly right now that we can't even afford an elevator for our small five-story home. Sigh. Truly unfortunate.

Geto's POV

I woke up early, pretending I was going for my usual morning jog for judo practice.

But in reality, I was grinding levels — hunting curses and calling Gojo for help whenever I needed to farm some XP. He showed up half the time, but honestly, that was already better than nothing.

After these past months, I've collected around 293 curses.

* 200 are grade 4

* 50 are grade 3

* 20 are grade 2

* 19 are grade 1

* and 4 are special grades

None of them are part of the "Four Gods," though.

Talking to my curses has given me insight the series never really discussed. Apparently, curses can travel to Japan — and many do, despite the barriers weakening them. The abundance of cursed energy

here attracts them.

Today, I decided to go solo. I can't always rely on Gojo or my curses. Even if I have hundreds, there are people like Toji, Gojo himself, or the disaster curses… not to mention Sukuna.

If I want to survive in this world, I have to get stronger — perfect my cursed energy control, become a front-line fighter instead of Gojo's sidekick.

It was 5 a.m., which gave me two hours to train before sunrise.

Following a nearby surge of cursed energy, I found a biker cornered by a dog-like creature. Its four massive spider legs jutted from its body, fur clinging tightly to its bones, open sores lining its flesh. Octopus-like tentacles erupted from its back, wrapping around the biker as he screamed for help.

I jumped into action, summoning one of my grade-one curses — a master swordsman who had turned into a curse after death.

He was tall, carrying an ōdachi glowing faintly red. He wore a navy-blue yukata with white accents and simple clogs. But his most distinct feature — he had no head.

"Sekiro," I called him.

Without hesitation, Sekiro cut through the creature's tentacles and followed up with several rapid slashes to its body and head, killing the curse instantly.

The curse dissolved into an orb of energy.

"Wait— damn it! I was supposed to fight it myself, not summon a curse…" I muttered aloud. "Guess months of letting my summons do the work turned into muscle memory."

"Hey, what happened!? Where'd the monster go? Oh my god— he doesn't have a head!" the biker screamed, taking off into the night and abandoning his bike.

"Well, that was interesting," I said. "Seeing as that guy could see you, he must've been a little talented."

I shrugged and continued on my hunt, this time determined to fight solo — using my fists instead of my curses.

Scene Change

"To think, another one of my curse creations has died…"

A man sat cloaked in shadow inside a room full of computers, test tubes, and giant human-sized capsules filled with glowing green liquid. Human bodies floated inside them.

"Oh well," he muttered. "I can always make more. That woman said she'd help me — since my cursed technique was interesting."

He smirked, his voice low and excited

"I know she's using me, but with the funding she's provided, I can continue my research — on human biology, and how cursed energy is the next step in human evolution. I will find the key."

Scene Change

I finally made it to school — just another day for me. Or so I thought.

My quiet lunch at one of the outdoor tables was interrupted by a wave of screams from a group of girls.

"Oh my god! He's so hot!"

"Is he a model? He has to be!"

"Those black glasses — so cool!"

The crowd grew larger, and through it I spotted unmistakable white hair.

Gojo.

He was flanked by Yuki on one side and a massive man on the other — at least 6'5", built like a brick wall, with eyes that were unmistakably Gojo-like.

Gojo spotted me instantly and grinned, walking over.

"Yo, dude! Guess who just transferred? I always wanted to go to a real school — homeschooling's so boring."

"Sup, man," I said. "So that brick wall behind you… that your dad?"

"Yup. Dude's a muscle-head — even tho he's got a cursed technique too."

"Oh yeah? What kind of technique?" I asked.

"That's a rude question to ask, boy," the giant said, stepping forward.

"Oh— uh, my bad. Forget I asked."

"Don't worry," the man replied calmly. "I don't care. But if you must know, it's called Lightning Dragon Fist. It's an inherent technique that lets me turn all of my cursed energy into lightning — lets me move as fast as lightning, surround myself with a lightning aura. But if your body can't handle the shock during your first cursed transfiguration, you die."

"Should you really be telling me that?" I asked.

"It strengthens the technique when shared," he said matter-of-factly.

Thinking about it, I'd never heard of that technique before. But then I remembered — Sugawara no Michizane, and how one of the people responsible for his death, was struck by lightning. Maybe… this was an offshoot of that?

"Well," Gojo said, stretching. "Enough of that. I'm starting here tomorrow. We came today 'cause Dad had to sign some stuff."

The older man looked at me, his gaze sharp.

"Boy," he said, "there are many beautiful women in the Gojo family — like Yuki here. How would you like to marry into the family?"

"Wait, really? You know I'm from a non-sorcerer family, right?"

"Not a problem," he said. "When strength is all that matters."

"Uh… let me think about it. I'm not trying to force myself on anyone — that'd be weird."

"I see. The offer stands," the man replied. "And if you accept, you'll gain access to the Gojo family library — including cursed techniques not inherent to our clan. Techniques like Falling Blossom Emotion."

Very enticing. Especially since I haven't even developed my own Domain yet.

"Room for thought," he said, calling Gojo and Yuki to follow him to the principal's office. They vanished quickly.

Teachers and students immediately surrounded me, asking who they were. I realized I'd never actually asked the man's name. For now, I'll just call him "Mr. Gojo," I guess.

Before I could answer any questions, I heard a familiar voice.

"First year!"

"Sup, Daki," I sighed.

"Shut it! We're supposed to be practicing during lunch today," he barked, grabbing my collar and dragging me away.

Still don't know how this guy's so damn strong. I could beat him easily if I used cursed energy — but he's human. He shouldn't have this kind of grip.

Dragged onto the mat, I was immediately tossed around. Uchi mata — done. Hip toss — done. Sweep — done. Finally, he picked me up and slammed me. Dead.

The bell rang, mercifully ending my suffering.

We cleaned up and headed out. More training after school, of course.

By the end of the day, I'd been thrown more times than I could count. The captain mentioned the upcoming inter–junior high tournament with other schools in the area — but that was later.

For now, it was time for my real training.

Cursed spirit hunting.

I took my time trying to find strong curses to absorb, and doing so, I ended up in the south of the city. I was quickly met with the sight of the city dump being attacked by a giant man in a black yukata with light armor, carrying a giant sack. His long black hair flowed in the night sky, and I could see a human face with a mouth that had its lips removed, sunken eyes with black rings surrounding them.

He roared his name:

"I am Ōkuninushi! How dare you destroy my kingdom—my earth!"

Filled with rage, he reached into his bag and pulled out giant seeds, dropping them into the ground. They dug into the soil, causing enormous vines to sprout around the area, attacking everything in their path. But he wasn't done—he roared again, and cursed spirits followed, all charging under his command.

"I'm in the south, and his name is Ōkuninushi is the Shinto god of earth,," I muttered aloud. "He's probably the god of earth."(sorry about the mistake originally I put dojan in chap1 but I was wrong)

Before I could walk away, a vine sprouted and nearly hit me. I sidestepped it and called for my personal gardener.

"Sekiro!!" I yelled.

He was summoned immediately and cut down the vine. But doing so caught the god's attention—Ōkuninushi turned to see us, then commanded his army of curses to attack.

"Sorcerer! Kill it, or I'll devour you all!" yelled the fallen god.

Seeing this, I called for Deer and, Crow, my favorite and another of my new special grades. I summoned a giant bear with a bone-like exoskeleton and fire coming from its mouth. It charged at the curses with no hesitation, its body engulfed in blue flames that spread to everything nearby.

"Maybe I should only ever let him out during fights like this," I muttered.

I turned to the others, who nodded, as I summoned my 200 grade 4 curses to help us out.

Seeing this, the mad god charged at me, slamming his bag down on top of me. He began to laugh, thinking I'd been crushed—only for me to appear right behind him, yelling for Crow to slice his Achilles. But a metallic sound reverberated—no damage.

Feeling the blow, the god turned to me, only for Deer to jump up and punch him with a loud crack. The god remained unfazed and smacked Deer Crow to the ground. Sekiro tried to help, but he was only grade 1.

Seeing this, I summoned four more grade 1 curses. Pain ran through my chest—I felt like I was pushing my abilities too far. The fight continued. My other 100 curses battled fiercely, killing and slaughtering the enemy army.

One of my new grade 1—a 9-foot skeleton—was slamming curses left and right, using some as weapons and eating others. It grabbed one, bit down on its head, and choked it down—only to be crushed as Deer Crow was sent flying.

Angered, the skeleton tried to fight Deer, but Deer grabbed him and slammed him into the god, making the giant fall for the first time.

Seeing this, I wondered, Could I make a binding vow to turn curses into weapons instead of just fuel?

Before I could think more, I was sent flying by the shock of the giant falling. The god stood again, grabbed the remaining curses, and stuffed them into his bag, pulling out more seeds.

"What fun," he laughed.

The fight continued. My curses finished off the enemy army, but my forces dropped from 200 to 150 grade 4s. At least only the weaker ones died. I gained 400 new ones to replace them, plus two more grade 1s, making my count 416.

But I might still die. This god just won't go down.

Even after calling what was left of my army to attack, it wasn't enough. Deer Crow couldn't hurt him. Bepo, the fire bear, couldn't burn him. Sekiro didn't have enough cursed energy to cut through his skin.

I was starting to think I should run and try again later—but before I could pull a Joseph and flee, I was hit by the palm of the titan and launched into the sky.

As I fell, I thought, This might be where I die.

Then Steve flew under me and caught me midair.

"Maybe I should leave. There's nobody here anyway," I said out loud.

As I said those stupid words, I caught sight of something in the corner of my eye—a group of elementary school kids walking together in the middle of the night, holding flashlights and wearing scared expressions, like they were about to visit somewhere haunted.

"Shit!"

I told Steve to fly down. I tried to stop the kids from getting near the fight, but it was too late. The god turned to see me flying at his eye level, then looked in the same direction I was looking. He smiled and ran toward the kids, ignoring my curses.

Seeing this, I sped up, yelling for the kids to run as I tried to reach them—unable to reach them, unable to save them, unable to help.

As time slowed, my cursed energy surged. My body screamed.

In that instant, I made my first binding vow—
Maximum Uzumaki!
But I changed the technique. Instead of only shooting a mass of cursed energy, I altered it to absorb energy instead—while making it usable only once per day.

By doing this, my sacrificed cursed energy would be absorbed into me for a total of five minutes. During those five minutes, I'd have the strength, speed, and durability equal to all the energy I absorbed. But it's temporary—when the five minutes end, the cursed energy explodes unless I use it up.

It needed a new name since this was more of an extension technique than a pure vow. But the children were what mattered now. Whatever name popped into my head would do.

"Ultimate Uzumaki!!"

After activating my technique and sacrificing 600 of my curses, a swirl of black energy appeared behind me.

Sensing the change, the monster turned, only to be met with a fist that sent it flying, crashing deeper into the dump.

Unable to react, the god was hit again—another blur of movement slammed into its stomach. Reeling from the pain, the god dug into its bag, pulling out more seeds.

Before the children even knew what happened, they were transported to a bus stop far from the battle.

The god stomped around, furious. My remaining curses watched silently—afraid of me, yet thankful they hadn't been sacrificed.

"I am a god of earth! How dare a mortal who controls cursed spirits think he can kill me!" the god screamed.

He was met with a kick to the back of the head, sending him crashing into the ground.

My skin began to steam and crack, glowing blue with cursed energy. My aura flared wildly.

Before I could even comment on my appearance, I dashed forward, sending a flurry of punches into the god.

He swung back, slapping me away, but I got up immediately—blood pouring from my eyes. My snapped arm twisted back into place.

"Come on, is that the best you've got!?" I yelled, launching myself back at him.

We clashed—fist after fist, blow after blow—shockwaves rippling through the air.

My brain felt like it was melting, but my body didn't give in. I felt caught between life and death, a feeling all too familiar. But I refused to die—not here, not in some dump in Tokyo.

The fight raged on. I could sense my time running out—five minutes almost gone. The beast still had plenty of fight left.

I made a decision. I focused every strike on one spot—its stomach. Over and over, I hit the same place.

It swung at me, but I dodged and countered again.

Ten seconds.

It hit me, sending me into the ground. Then it grabbed me, squeezing tight.

"Ready to be crushed like the bug you are!? Hahaha!"

"Nah—but you can go ahead and squeeze on these nuts!" I yelled, breaking free.

Five seconds.

I launched an uppercut, then a spinning backfist, sending the beast flying.

Two seconds.

Feeling the final moment arrive, I placed my hands together.

"Maximum Uzumaki!!!"

I felt my skin tear and cursed energy surge through me as a stream of blue light exploded from my hands. The power was overwhelming—everything went white.
