When next he woke up he noticed a pair of eyes staring at him from across the ground, hate filled with a twisted expression.
"Hm?" Confused Enzo raised an eyebrow causing the figure to notice and his face to relax.
Without a second thought, Thane flipped his body to look away, facing the wall directly. He had been pretending to be asleep all this while and had witnessed the whole thing.
Lady Victoria offered Enzo a taste of her blood!! It was infuriating. He had followed her for hundreds of years in his past life and had never gotten such an offer. Not only was this annoying, it was ruining his plans.
He couldn't have Enzo who already distrusted him getting stronger in any way. He had to do something about this before Victoria offered again.
"Hey kid, did you get a power up?" Nibbleskin asked as he saw Enzo rise from his slumber and sit up right.
"Power up?" Enzo raised his eyebrow, realizing when nibble skin was talking about.
He then pulled up his stats menu.

The screen showed information on a new skill he had acquired. And it wasn't a learned skill like shadow step even though it wasn't originally there…..it was innate.
'That's what he meant by improvement'
Enzo thought in his mind, would every blood sample he took give him a new skill? That sounded too good to be true.
And of course it also didn't make much sense since Victoria had just explained that only extremely high grade blood would have any effect on him.
"No, no power up" Enzo stared with a neutral expression on his face.
In as much as he wanted to say yes, there was still the consideration of the danger ahead. This new skill would be more helpful if it stayed hidden.
"Ohhh that's strange" Nibbleskin muttered in a low voice
His bloodline was supreme, that was one of the many reasons their kind was hunted down throughout the cosmos. If it didn't have an effect on Enzo did that mean….
"No it can't be" nibbleskin shook his head.
The only other person who couldn't get a boost from his blood, at least from the people he had met was Victoria.
Enzo's blood couldn't be as pure as hers, that was just impossible.
"Brace yourselves, something's coming out way" all of a sudden from above, Victoria's voice resounded with the echo drifting into their ears.
Immediately they pulled out weapons and looked up
There, a figure was speeding right for them from a higher vintage of the mountain
"Wait a minute isn't that?"
Noticing something, Thane squinted his brows as the figure crashed to the ground and was intercepted by Victoria.
"Kara?"
The figure wore a black cloak, her silver hair waved through the air with a sword in hand as she looked around calmly at the group in front of her.
"Lady Victoria!!!"
Suddenly the calm broke as the young lady's face welled up with wetness and she threw herself at Victoria, her eyes flowing with tears of longing and affection.
This scene shocked even Victoria as she stood there being hugged by what she had assumed was an enemy combatant.
"Kara? Is that you?" Victoria was taken aback as she finally got a good glimpse of the face of the young lady whose arms were wrapped around her.
Kara was one of her followers.
"Yes my lady, it's been so long, Kara…Kara…missed you!!" The young lady hugged Victoria tighter.
A few weeks ago, just like Thane, she had woken up from within a tube with all her memories and the urge to find and kill Victoria, but as time went on…that urge was slowly removed from her consciousness.
Allowing her to not only have information on what was going on but also the free will to choose what she wanted to do.
So she headed for the mountain in the middle of the canyon. If lady Victoria was really free she knew she would head there too.
"I…have missed you too" Victoria muttered under her breath as she returned the hug.
Warmth, it had been a while since she felt so loved. Victoria was struck….

Thane from the side noticed something was wrong, there was no connection between himself and Kara. It was one thing if she was lying about having control, at least he would be able to verify if it was a lie.
But right now he couldn't.
It was like Kara was cut off from the shared network placed in them by the legion.
