Pupitar's Precipice Blades targeted the already wounded Ampharos directly.
Meanwhile, Politoed moved nimbly around Pupitar without engaging in close combat, relying on the brutal Attack boost granted by Belly Drum.
All Electric-type moves coming their way were absorbed by Pupitar thanks to its Ground typing.
The true power of Precipice Blades lay in its element of surprise.
Even though the version Pupitar used was incomplete compared to Groudon's original, it was more than enough for him.
BOOM!
A sharp, unbearable pain shot up from Ampharos's lower parts.
His eyes rolled back. He felt his mind go blank. He collapsed, out cold.
"Fsshh——!"
Seeing what happened to Ampharos, Raichu and Jolteon, who were right beside him, felt a chill run through their groins.
Even though they could still move, neither dared to take another step.
Thanks to his Ground typing, Pupitar completely ignored the enemy's Electric-type moves and stood firm, repeatedly unleashing Precipice Blades.
Politoed, for his part, attacked from a distance while staying close to Pupitar. Thanks to the massive boost from Belly Drum, his attacks packed a serious punch.
But the key battle was happening on the side of Mega Aggron and Mega Blaziken.
After Mega Evolving, Aggron not only grew stronger physically; he also gained much greater control over his energy output.
The Rock-type move Stone Edge was especially devastating against the enemy Crobat, a Flying-type.
Razor-sharp stones spun in erratic trajectories, striking again and again at the Crobat trying to dodge them midair.
At first, it managed to avoid some hits, but with each impact, its evasive ability dropped further.
Elsewhere, Blaziken swung the four fire tassels dangling from its wrists. A flame burned intensely from its head, enveloping its entire body.
The more it ran, the faster it became, and the color of the flames changed: from red to orange, then pale yellow, until they turned into a dazzling gold.
Although it didn't look like a Fire-type move at first glance, the scorched marks left on the ground revealed the hellish temperature of the attack.
Manectric, known for its great speed, couldn't keep up with Blaziken once its Speed Boost ability activated.
BOOM!
A direct hit!
Combining the Attack boost from Swords Dance with the explosive power of Flare Blitz, the result was Manectric being launched into the air.
Zsshh——
Blaziken skidded to a stop, dragging its feet and controlling the inertia.
Although Flare Blitz caused recoil damage, it was minimal compared to what Manectric suffered.
"Aggron, use Stone Edge to take down Crobat!"
"Blaziken, don't stop! Finish him off with Blaze Kick!"
Cain gave precise orders to his Pokémon. Mega Evolution didn't last long—they had to end the battle quickly.
At most, they could maintain that form for three minutes. Once that time passed, Cain would lose the ability to move.
Nearly 60 seconds had already passed.
Aggron and Blaziken, aware of this, unleashed even more energy.
Blaziken, instead of slowing down, let his body glide and used that momentum to launch himself at Manectric again.
Manectric had just barely managed to get back on his feet.
It shook its head, trying to follow Regi's command, when it saw a leg wrapped in golden fire racing toward it.
BOOM!
Another brutal kick.
At that moment, Manectric had only one thought: "Is this foot even clean...?"
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
It was sent flying again, crashing through three trees on the way.
The areas where the trees had snapped were charred—clear proof that Blaziken's fire had transferred to the enemy and burned everything in its path.
Manectric, knocked out.
While Blaziken handled Manectric, Aggron switched tactics against Crobat.
Four stone chains trapped the bat and slammed it into the ground.
Only then could Aggron make full use of his advantage.
"Aggron, Body Slam! Combine it with Earthquake and finish with Iron Tail!"
Cain wanted to test a new move combo.
Body Slam + Earthquake.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
With each step Aggron took, the ground trembled. His sheer weight caused small quakes.
Crobat, trapped, struggled desperately. Seeing Aggron approach, terror filled his eyes.
"Is he going to crush my guts...?"
He tried to escape just in time, but Aggron grabbed one of his legs with precision.
Crobat flapped his wings desperately, but Aggron didn't budge.
Out of options, Crobat bit him.
CLANG!
His fangs struck Aggron's metallic arm, producing a sharp sound.
Pure desperation filled Crobat's eyes.
"This is just straight-up bat abuse!"
Aggron ignored the struggle. He slammed both fists together, producing a metallic roar.
Crobat, caught in the middle, felt like even yesterday's food was about to come up.
But Aggron didn't forget the orders.
He slammed him into the ground with full force, then used his legs and tail to launch himself into the air.
Crobat, lying on the ground, barely opened his eyes... and what he saw terrified him: a steel giant falling on him like a mountain... with Ground-type energy included!
BOOOM!
BOOM!!
Two more massive crashes.
PUM!
Finished with Iron Tail.
Aggron followed the orders to the letter.
The ground beneath was completely caved in.
Crobat, beneath Aggron's body, was embedded in the earth, bleeding from all over.
If he didn't receive immediate medical attention, he would die within a minute.
The combination of Aggron's weight and brute force was simply lethal.
In just a minute and a half, Regi had lost his two Quasi-Elite Pokémon.
Meanwhile, the 2v4 battle between Pupitar and Politoed had now become a 2v2: Ampharos and Raichu were already down.
