Zed felt like he was gushing with energy. The sense of freshness was so otherworldly, it felt like he was an energetic fish in water.
But this sensation only lasted for a few seconds before it subsided.
[Crown Vorganfang Zerno]
Progress: 0.1%
—> Your healing factor is boosted. You essentially cannot die in the Shingle realm.
—> Your stamina will always remain full in the first realm.
—> Ki energy recovery speed is 10,000 per second.
—> Spirit energy recovery speed is 10,000 per second.
--> Flowers of Chaos: You can conjure flowers of different types, each having a different effect. The cost is both Ki energy and Spirit energy. The power of the Flowers will depend on the energy consumed to summon them.
"W-What the fuck?" Zed was dumbfounded. "Wait, and this is just 0.1 percent of the Crown's power unleashed? What the fuck?"
[Indeed, my lord. After all, this universe is in the Shingle Realm, where thousands of universes reside. It is below the 1st realm of this Grand Enead World.]
Zed blinked. "And there are a total of nine realms?"
[Indeed, my lord.]
"And who are you? You sound like a person, after all."
[I am a sentient consciousness birthed by you for this system.]
Zed rubbed his chin. "Then I should give you a name."
A second later, he smiled. "I'll call you… Lapis. The color you use in the system interface is lapis blue, and lapis represents many things like Power, Loyalty, Good Luck, and Protection."
[Thank you for the name, my lord. I love it.]
Zed smiled. But then, he suddenly froze. "Wait, why do I know what lapis represents? I've never read about it as far as I remember, but I suddenly have this specific knowledge about it."
[Oh, that should be the passive memory extraction. You will gradually acquire knowledge and information from your past 648 million lives. It will not come all at once, but whenever you are on a certain subject and require information about it, the first thing that will happen is that if that information is present in one of your 648 million past lives, you will naturally come to know it.]
Zed's eyes widened. "Damn."
[It will certainly be useful to you, my lord.]
"Yep." Zed lay back on the bed again. "Now then, Lapis. Let's check the next thing."
[Yes, my lord.]
Lapis opened the Unbound Shop.
[Unbound Shop]
Level: 1
Zed checked Tyrant's Collection and was immediately dumbfounded.
There were all sorts of things, but not items.
They were skills, bloodlines, talents, and other powers.
[My lord, Tyrant's Collection contains everything you created, learned, and mastered as the Tyrant of Unbound. You can purchase them using U.R points, and you will instantly master them as your memories of them will return.]
Zed's eyes shone. 'That's awesome. There's so much cool stuff here, but I can't afford any right now.'
Zed switched to the General Shop, checking it out.
[General Shop]
Time until next refresh: 23 hours.
1. Supersonic Red Eagle Jet — 100 U.R points.
2. Pillagon Silver Shield — 15 U.R points.
3. Spirit Skill: Thundering Cloud (A) — 360 U.R points.
4. Hybrid Skill: Wind Laced Flurry (B) — 70 U.R points.
'Four things only?'
[For now, yes. However, as you level up the Unbound Shop, the number of random things available in the General Shop will increase.]
'How do I upgrade the Unbound Shop?'
[It will require 10,000 U.R points.]
"…"
Zed bought both skills and then turned off the interface. "Well, this is it for today, I guess."
He turned off the lights and closed his eyes. 'Can't wait for tomorrow.'
…
Zed got out after showering and wearing new clothes that were already in his closet, perfectly sized for him.
"Brother. Good morning."
Rosy was outside, leaning against the wall next to the door.
"You've been waiting for me?" Zed smiled and patted her head.
"Yesh! I'm going to a big school, according to Mr. Tomen… err, I mean D-Dad." Rosy's cheeks turned pink. "We never had a dad, so it feels a bit strange."
They had a father, but Rosy was too young to even remember him, and he passed away when she turned two years old.
"Look at you." Zed ruffled her short red hair. "Feel free to call him Dad. Don't worry, your brother will make sure that Mr. Tomen—our dad—feels grateful for his entire life for picking us."
[Spoken like a true Tyrant, my lord.]
'Haha, Lapis. You know how to joke. It's natural to do this.'
[Exactly, just how Tye would think, my lord.]
"Young lord, young miss. Please follow me for breakfast. It is ready."
The maid arrived.
As Zed and Rosy followed the maid, Zed thought,
'You said Tye… I remember something. It's my name. My very first name.'
'Tye Iranes.' Zed's eyes flickered. 'Don't tell me that's why I picked Tyrant for my titular name?'
[Indeed, my lord. That's why you aren't like the textbook definition of a Tyrant. You are one of a kind.]
Zed wryly smiled.
'Alright. My new name is Zed Tye Iranes.' Zed grinned. 'But for this planet, I'll keep it Zed Vaylith.'
Vaylith was the surname of this household.
Soon, Zed and Rosy arrived at the table, but there was no one there.
Rosy and Zed ate breakfast alone.
The other family members had already left, even though it was eight o'clock in the morning.
Some didn't come home at all.
'Three children, himself, and his wife. The family is small for this size of mansion,' Zed thought as he ate. 'I wonder if he has siblings.'
[My lord, I can give you all information about Tomen Vaylith and his family tree right from his memories and outside his memories at the cost of 8 U.R points.]
'Nah. I'm not interested in actively knowing. He'll tell me if he wants to.'
After they ate breakfast, Rosy followed a maid who was in charge of her. She was going to a prestigious school in a luxurious sedan.
'Can I change reality for Rosy a bit? Like giving her some knowledge and making her smart? She's going to a big school, and she wasn't in a condition or situation to receive a normal education in the past fifteen years. She only learned from Uncle Morris and others who had studied with other kids.'
Even kids had to work in that slum, and people lived suppressed lives, so there wasn't much time for kids to study, too.
[You can make her a genius with 200 IQ according to this planet's scale at the cost of 137 U.R points.]
'Do it, but this won't change her behavior or anything, right?'
[She will have some change, but not in her developing personality that comes with experience. Essentially, what will happen is that she will learn things faster, have better memory, and higher intelligence regarding problem-solving, pattern recognition, and so on.]
'Alright, do it.'
[137 U.R points spent.]
[Do you also want to do it, my lord?]
'Me? Nah.' Zed chuckled and stopped, arriving before the office door on the fifth floor.
'I'm smart already. But I'll bend reality to gain knowledge and experience when I require it.'
"Come in."
Zed entered and smiled. "Good morning."
Tomen blinked and nodded as he gave a small smile while gesturing for Zed to sit. "Morning."
"So, are you ready to head to the university?"
"Yep."
"The ride is ready. But before going, know a few things and take this phone. It's yours now. The wallpaper you see is of my young daughter. You are going to the university to get strong, and if you succeed in getting into that secret club run by the hidden powers of this world, I want you to support her, help her, and protect her."
Tomen's face was solemn. "That is my request."
"Do you think I can pass their requirements and become a member?" Zed asked with a smile.
Tomen narrowed his eyes as he looked at Zed. "You certainly have a different air about you now than last night."
Zed chuckled.
'That happens when you check your system and see the stuff I saw.'
"Yeah, I had enlightenment in my dream."
Tomen laughed. "That sounds interesting. Well, I do hope you succeed, and I believe you will succeed. So go on."
He gave a file to Zed and added, "This file has the information about the university, and the requirements you need to fulfill to take their test."
"All the best, son."
Zed took the file and left, waving two fingers. "Wait for the good news, pop."
Father-Son relationship established in 9 hours.
