Although they said nothing someone could no longer keep silent and that was Cheng Yuan.
He stood up imposingly from his chair and fiercely disagreed with Shi Wang, "How can you do this to your niece and you know very well the truth about this company that was ruined under your hands and here you are pushing it to your niece, I refuse to let this happen."
Shi Wang snorted and retorted righteously, "Cheng Yuan, where do you think you are, you keep making a ruckus, I very well want the best for my niece."
He looked grudgingly at Shi Nian and continued, " Indeed, this project has caused the company a loss and it happened under my care, but my intentions in giving you this project are pure."
"What better way is there in proving and showing your capabilities than this project everyone has declared a failure, I am your uncle and there's no way I would be unkind to you, all I do is for your good!!" Shi Wang said righteously as if not having other intentions.
"You.. You.." Cheng Yuan was so speechless that he couldn't say a complete sentence.
Just before he could say anything else Shi Wang interrupted him, he looked at the shareholders and even Qin Ting was quiet and seeing that none of them intended to say anything he continued trying to entice Shi Nian with some insincere words .
And just as he was running out of words on how to convince Shi Nian her cold voice resounded; "I agree".
Some of the shareholders shook their heads in disappointment and some thought it was impossible to trust and leave the company in her charge since she couldn't even see such tricks.
Although they all had varying thoughts none of them said a single word, to show their disapproval.
And Shi Nian continued, "Uncles I have decided to take over this project, this company was brought up by my parents, and I wouldn't lose any of it.
I want the uncles present here to bear witness to this agreement, that after I turn this project around there will be no one to say the agreement is invalid."
Just then Qin Ting spoke, just as the Miss Shi has said, "I will make a valid legal documentation for this process."
And immediately they all began voicing their agreement to the process, and Qin Ting settled this effectively and handed the documents to Shi Nian.
Shi Nian took the document and inwardly made a sigh of relief indeed she had brought Qin Ting for this purpose, and he handled it properly, the shareholders look amiable on the surface but she knows they all are cunning foxes.
Although they wouldn't out-rightly bully her, they wouldn't have easily agreed to sign or act as witnesses for her.
With her experiences she could easily handle them but now wasn't the time to go head to head with them she had to bide her time.
After all these were settled the meeting continued with its normal processes and Shi Wang kept trying to make things difficult for her but then she did exceedingly well and improved the shareholders opinions of her.
The meeting ended finally and the shareholders and Shi Wang walked out of the meeting room and just Cheng Yuan, Qin Ting and Shi Nian remained.
Cheng Yuan profusely thanked Qin Ting for his presence today, who coldly nodded in response and Cheng Yuan began questioning Shi Nian.
"Nian Nian, how are you? I have tried contacting you for months and Shi Wang stopped me from visiting you and you weren't at the old Shi Mansion, your grandparents and I have been really worried about you."
Shi Nian was bombarded with many questions and she didn't know how to respond to this affection from her 'uncle', but still she felt warm in her heart and she knew this was "Shi Nian's" residual feelings.
"Uncle I have been well, I was just trying to get myself together and be strong, to make my parents proud and not let down their trust in me".
Shi Nian never intended to tell her uncle about the maltreatment 'Shi Nian' received from Shi Wang but she wouldn't hide it from him.
"Uncle Wang did try stopping me from appearing at the company, and taking away my parents hard work but I will never let that happen, uncle you do not have to worry I will try my best to improve my status in the company."
Instantly Cheng Yuan felt a burst of sadness, he couldn't even imagine what she had gone through, although she makes nothing of it, she must have gone through a lot to have changed so much.
Cheng Yuan patted her shoulder, he knew no words could soothe the sorrow she felt.
"Nian Nian, I want you to know that uncle will always be here to support you, and no matter what you need, do not hesitate to come to me".
Cheng Yuan sighed, he couldn't say much and turned to Qin Ting.
"Mr Qin, thank you again for your presence today and your support for my niece".
Qin Ting nodded and said, "I was Master Shi Beicheng's lawyer this is within my right".
Cheng Yuan was speechless, indeed Mr Qin is as they say, cold and treasured his words like gold. But still he profusely thanked him.
Shi Nian noticed Qin Ting tapping his fingers on the table and guessed he must be getting impatient and informed Cheng Yuan about taking her leave.
"Uncle Cheng, I have to take my leave now and begin the plans for handling this project".
"Nian Nian, you can use my people, they are at your disposal, your uncle has almost all the people in that project company in his hands they might try to make this difficult for you ".
This is exactly what Shi Nian wanted and she thanked him, and picked up the documents. Shi Wang had his secretary bring them over.
She turned to Qin Ting, "Mr Qin, let's take our leave". And turned and waved goodbye to Cheng Yuan.
As soon as they got to the company's parking lot, Qin Ting spoke.
"Miss Shi, I've done my part of our agreement. Don't let me down."
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and entered his car and drove off, not giving Shi Nian an opportunity to say a word.
