"My Italian relative?"
Johnson Joffrey asked in surprise, "Where do I have Italian relatives?!" Giorno seems to be a year or two younger than me, right? And he's not really a relative, is he?
Kujo Jotaro was silent for a moment, then suddenly said seriously, "Really, would you be willing to follow me?"
"Huh?" Johnson Joffrey's eyes widened, looking at Kujo Jotaro in disbelief.
"I mean, to adopt you. I also have a daughter who is a few years younger than you." Jotaro said very seriously, "The relative I found for you is from your father's side, I mean your adoptive father. Your mother's side has no relatives."
"This… this…"
"You already have your own ability to think. At 14, you're not a child anymore," Kujo Jotaro said seriously, his tone seemingly brooking no argument.
Being raised by Jotaro wouldn't be a good thing, so I should refuse. But why would he make such a request?
"Knock knock—"
A knock on the door interrupted Johnson Joffrey's thoughts. Johnson quickly said, "Please come in."
The person who entered was a fashionably dressed man. He wore a black hooded trench coat, with the hood pulled tight, yet a few strands of blue hair still peeked out. He wore the trench coat directly on his skin, revealing a strong chest and muscles, with belts crisscrossing his abdomen, looking extremely cool. He was very tall, slightly hunched, and exuded a gloomy aura, forming a stark contrast with Kujo Jotaro.
What was particularly striking was—
This man seemed to have no whites in his eyes; red pupils rested in a dark black sclera, making him appear much colder.
"This, is, Johnson Joffrey's, ward?"
The man spoke as if words were precious, and his sentences were incomplete, giving him a mysterious air.
"Indeed. May I ask who you are, sir?" Johnson frowned, feeling that this person looked very familiar.
"I am your paternal uncle," the man said. "Risotto Nero."
The man finally spoke a complete sentence. It wasn't that he was stingy with words, but rather that his English wasn't very good.
"Saying this, perhaps, unexpected, you and I, live, together."
I roughly understood why Jotaro wanted to adopt me. Risotto was clearly a gangster, the leader of the assassination squad in golden wind. This feeling was like: this kid clearly has the potential to become a villain, yet he's being sent to the villains' side.
His adoptive father, Jimmy Jofrry, had indeed been married before and had a son, but he apparently died in a car accident. Then he went to Japan, met Johnson's birth mother, married, and moved to America.
"What about the matter I discussed with you? What are your thoughts?" Jotaro pressed on, as if he had truly made up his mind about this.
Now, what's before me is: do you want to participate in the Morioh storyline, or the golden wind storyline?
Does that even need to be said?
Of course, it's to stay far away from Kujo Jotaro!
Kujo Jotaro, this man, was simply too formidable. Just being with him made me feel an invisible pressure; I couldn't make any small moves. Am I stupid? To follow him?
"Thank you very much, Mr. Jotaro, but I've decided to live with my uncle."
Kujo Jotaro's goal was simply to prevent Johnson Joffrey from going astray. This child, Johnson, was too shrewd; sometimes even he couldn't see him clearly.
"If that's the case, then I'll take my leave." Kujo Jotaro pulled at his hat, nodded to Risotto, and left the ward directly.
Risotto glanced at the departing Jotaro, frowning slightly. His expressionless face was a bit scary, and besides that, his dark eyes made it impossible to tell what he was thinking.
"Kujo Jotaro, I've heard of him," Risotto suddenly said in English with an italian accent.
Johnson was about to say something when Risotto pulled out a notebook. The words on it were in English, with italian phonetic transcriptions below.
"I am your paternal uncle, Risotto Nero," he said, holding the notebook. "Nice to meet you. Please live with me from now on. Don't be too sad. In Italy, legend says that if you are too sad, your parents will not be able to go to heaven because they can't bear to leave you."
Where did this kind of coaxing for children come from? Risotto spoke these words awkwardly, but very earnestly, as if he had rehearsed them several times before.
Johnson nodded vigorously, making himself look more like a child. Risotto Nero must usually be a fearsome person.
"Do you know, who killed your parents?" Risotto looked at the notebook and said in English.
Johnson secretly thought, "Perhaps Jotaro and the SPW Foundation haven't revealed that I killed Tang En Andy."
"I'm not sure," Johnson said slowly, furrowing his brows in deep thought. "But I heard it was DIO's subordinate."
"DIO?"
It's said that Risotto couldn't forgive the driver who caused his cousin Jimmy Jofrry's son's car accident and killed him. This cousin must be Jimmy Jofrry. Seeing how weak he appeared, Risotto probably left Italy immediately after avenging his son.
That driver might have been a gangster.
When Risotto repeated the name, his fist subtly clenched.
He didn't know DIO, but with his personality, he would definitely keep investigating matters concerning DIO's subordinates, which would greatly help me find the person who tore out my notes.
"Once you're better, come to Italy with me. I've already found a good school for you," Risotto said, looking at the notebook and using the words he had prepared. "No one will ever hurt you again."
Johnson lowered his red eyes and nodded vigorously.
He displayed his best-completed skill, [Best Villain: Master Actor], besides his [Best Villain: Boundless Charm] skill.
Risotto spoke a few more words with Johnson, asking about his preferences and such. He seemed to have done his homework before coming; his red eyes looked fierce, but he tried to use a gentle tone so that Johnson, this 'child,' wouldn't be afraid.
After speaking, he leaned against the windowsill, looking at the clear sky outside with a pensive expression.
