Night felt long and heavy.
Amelia felt a bit hesitant to follow her father's orders but she told herself repeatedly she will try to obey them .But it still felt fragile and like a lie.
Next Morning
He looked a bit tired his face heavy.
The way he said "don't go near gate" still echoed in her mind.
She didn't want to make him angry or worse disappointed.
But curiosity was a stubborn thing.
After Breakfast he went to work.House felt quite.
Amelia was thinking about the things that happened yesterday and was not able to feel peace.
"Uh!....I feel like my mind is gonna explode!"
"I think the saying curiosity killed a cat is correct "
Then a thought flickered.
"Dad said I should not go to the old garden gate "she murmured
"...but he didn't tell me I can't search the house "
After sometime
Amelia was standing in front of the secret gate door she took a deep breath and went inside.
The room looked just like yesterday full of dust and spider webs and filled with silence.
She went near the picture of her grandmother and looked at the box below.
She opened the box just like she did yesterday with the help of her locket.it opened with a click and put the locket back on her neck.
She looked careful at its contents. Inside were mostly familiar things
The map , letter,there was also a photograph she didn't notice before in that photo with her grandmother's younger self there stood a tall handsome man .
".....Is that grandpa it is my first time seeing him" Her chest tightened.
Her grandfather had already passed away by the time she was born. Her father also didn't tell her much about him.
They looked so alive and full of light.
She looked at them for sometime and then put them there
She tried to look around the room searching for clues for her question.
she saw at one wall there was a weird looking pattern with something written on it.She brushed away the dust from it.
It was written in Latin her grandmother had taught her a little.
"For the end of darkness, hope will return "
She whispered
She looked at it ,confused and gently touched the symbol.
Air went quite just like yesterday.
The symbol glowed blue, and then she saw a vision came in front of her eyes
There was a beautiful forest with beautiful trees different from anything she had ever seen. some of the trees seemed alive with moving branches shimmering in the golden light.
Various beautiful creatures danced in air some on land.
Then she heard the voice saying
" Amelia I am waiting for you At your 18th birthday you will get your magical inheritance Return to our real home . I will be waiting for you. You are our only hope... please save this place"
She opened her eyes and removed her hand from it she took a deep breath
" What is happening"
she murmured
"Is this really real"
Her locket glowed faintly.
