Chapter 6 - Light

The light spread wider across the room like soft, warm and glowing moonlight.

Amelia tried to shield her eyes from the glowing light. The air hummed faintly like a gentle magic that made her heartbeat fast.

"Amelia…" the voice came again, calm and sweet, wrapping around her like a breeze.

Her gaze moved toward the light — and slowly, the shape within it grew clearer.

Wings. A delicate glow.

It was her - the same fairy who had appeared before .

"You…" Amelia whispered. "You're real."

The fairy smiled faintly. "More real than you think."

She flew closer, her silver-blue wings scattering tiny sparks of light.

" Are you ....a fairy? why are you coming in front of me I am a normal person"

"No.. you are special"she said softly

"You touched the seal Mark." the fairy continued. "The map and the feather respond to your bloodline. You shouldn't have awakened them yet."

"I wasn't trying to," Amelia said quickly, clutching her locket. "I just wanted to understand what was happening"

The fairy's glow dimmed slightly. "Curiosity runs deep in your family," she murmured.

Amelia hesitated. "You know about my family ? And last time you said I am wearing the protector locket it's my grandmother's did you know her "

A gentle pause. Then, the fairy nodded.

"Of course I knew your grandmother," she said quietly. "A brave woman with a kind heart - she once ruled over the Enchanted Forest. Many remember her as the Fairy of light."

"My… grandmother?" Amelia breathed, her voice barely a whisper. "Are you sure you are talking about my grandmother..

my memories of her are almost blurry now.

I thought ....she died ."

The fairy's expression softened. "She loved you, even before you were born. It was her wish that you be kept safe in the human world. "

..."Dead or not no one knows she disappeared 14 years ago"

Amelia blinked her throat tightening. "Disappeared how!! And Safe from what?"

The fairy hesitated, wings trembling faintly. "That, child, is a story for another time."

"And my mother?" Amelia asked, her voice fragile.

The fairy looked at her with quiet sadness.

"Her story," she said gently, "is not mine to tell."

"Your mother is alive, but she is caught in a place where time flows differently. She cannot be with you yet."

Amelia's eyes widened. "Caught in… time? How is that possible?"

"Magic from our world intervened," the fairy murmured. "It was to protect her… and to protect you. One day, when the time is right, she will return, and her love will remain unchanged."

Amelia's hands trembled as she looked down at her glowing locket and the blue feather.

"I… I don't understand any of this," she whispered.

The fairy hovered closer, her soft light pulsing gently.

"You will, in time. Soon, you will see the truth for yourself. But for now… listen. Learn. And be ready. Your eighteenth birthday is just in a few days "

The glow faded slowly, leaving Amelia's room bathed in the soft silver light of the evening.

She sat on her bed, clutching her locket, feeling the weight of questions she didn't yet have answers to.

But now she knew what she will have to do.
