Especially after Kairo handed the bow back to her, the sensation intensified.
What… was this?
Fischl lowered her gaze to the bow in her hands, eyes widening in disbelief. Even her fingertips brushing the bowstring trembled faintly as she felt the unprecedented surge of power coursing through the weapon.
This energy was beyond anything she could comprehend!
She lifted her eyes in confusion toward Kairo.
"Tell me, O bearer of the unfathomable, what mysterious power hast thou bestowed upon my royal armament…?"
Oz tilted his head, curious.
"The young lady means—what have you just done? The bow feels completely different."
"Not done yet."
Kairo's voice was calm. He slowly twisted open the cap of a small vial—Enhancement Balm: Ice: Frost—and spread the pale-blue ointment evenly along the bow's limbs.
Hiss—!
Almost instantly, a layer of icy-blue frost bloomed across the entire bow!
Cold mist spread outward, and the temperature around them plummeted within seconds.
Even Fischl could feel the chill biting through her gloves—the kind that seemed to seep into her very soul.
"Ugh…"
She instinctively shook her hand, trying to dispel the numbness. "Such chill… it feels so real, as though it could freeze one's very spirit."
Oz translated succinctly, "Her Highness means—it's really cold."
Kairo ignored her dramatics. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he said evenly,
"In a moment, use your Electro power to form an arrow and fire it through this bow."
Fischl blinked, eyes flickering in surprise.
"Thou wouldst have me… let thunder and frost coexist in a single arrow?"
Oz added in his usual measured tone, "She means—are you sure Electro and Cryo can even mix?"
"Yes." Kairo nodded.
"The Abyssal Path enhancement imbues your weapon with greater raw power. The Enhancement Balm: Ice: Frost adds Cryo attributes. Combine that with your Electro Element Vision—and the arrows' destructive potential will multiply."
"Electro and frost, combined with the energy of destruction… that will allow thee to annihilate these targets with ease."
His tone was calm, but resolute.
To Fischl, however, his explanation sounded utterly impossible.
Electro and Cryo?
Those two elements shouldn't coexist on the same projectile—it defied every known principle of elemental interaction!
As for this so-called "power of the Abyssal Path," she had no idea what he meant, so she just… ignored that part.
She looked down again at her bow.
Indeed—beneath the shimmering frost of the Enhancement Balm: Ice: Frost, the weapon still pulsed faintly with traces of her Electro energy.
The two forces didn't repel each other. They resonated.
It was a bizarre, yet harmonious fusion—proof that Kairo's theory might actually work.
A brand-new combat method…
Fischl's grip tightened around the bow. Deep in her amethyst eyes, a spark of anticipation began to glow.
She wanted to try it.
She wanted to see what kind of cataclysmic power this fusion of destruction, Electro, and frost could unleash.
"Heh-heh…"
Fischl's lips curled upward as she caressed the bowstring gently, excitement creeping into her tone.
"Our foes shall soon know the doom ordained by fate… how thrilling it shall be!"
Oz sighed softly. "Her Highness means—she's ready to test it."
Kairo: "…"
Rubbing his temples, Kairo decided to stop translating her theatrics in his head and turned his gaze toward the Hilichurl encampment in the distance.
Time to test the bow's true might.
"Alright," he said quietly, voice steady and low. "Get ready to fire."
Fischl smiled faintly, golden eyes gleaming with an almost childlike excitement.
She drew the bowstring slowly—slender fingers glowing with crackling violet light.
Arcs of Electro danced between her hands, hissing with raw, destructive power.
The next instant, she invoked her Electro Element Vision.
The air around her vibrated, charged with unstable energy—tiny bolts leapt through the air with a staccato crack-crack-crack!
"Zzzzt—zzzt—!"
In an instant, the gathered Electro energy condensed into a radiant purple arrow between the bowstring and the grip—pure Electro forged into form.
But as the arrow took shape, another force stirred.
The Abyssal Resonance infused within the bow flared, wrapping the arrow in a sinister aura that made the crackling Electro surge even more violently.
And then—
The Frost Gel's chilling essence spread along the bowstring, coating the arrowhead in glittering frost!
Bzzzzm—!
Pale-blue ice and vivid violet Electro intertwined—two conflicting elements fusing in perfect harmony.
The cold of eternal winter merged with the rage of a storm.
That single arrow now radiated the combined Crimson Echo, Frost, and Thunder.
Even Fischl herself was stunned.
Her eyes widened as she beheld the arrow she had drawn.
Never in her wildest imagination had she believed her Electro arrows could be amplified to this extent.
Her hand trembled—not out of fear, but sheer disbelief.
Swallowing hard, she took a deep breath, steadying her pulse.
Then, with no hesitation, she drew the string to its fullest and aimed directly at the camp's most fearsome foe—
the Hilichurl Berserker with the Pyro Axe!
"The hour of judgment is nigh—receive the thunderous verdict of mine dominion!"
Oz sighed. "Her Highness means—she's about to shoot."
Kairo didn't even react this time. "Just do it."
Swish—!
The Electro-Frost arrow tore through the air, streaking across the sky in a trail of purple and blue light—like a meteor descending from the heavens.
And the moment it struck—
BOOOOM!!!
A deafening explosion shook the forest!
A shockwave of biting frost erupted outward, freezing the air itself.
In an instant, the entire Hilichurl encampment was engulfed in a blizzard of icy destruction.
The ground around the impact zone—several meters wide—froze solid in seconds!
The Hilichurls didn't even have time to scream. Their bodies stiffened, encased in solid ice, transformed into lifeless statues in the blink of an eye.
The Pyro Axe Berserker, who had been patrolling moments before, lifted its weapon in alarm—only for the freezing gale to swallow it whole.
Its roar froze in its throat as its massive frame solidified into glacial stillness.
Even the Hilichurl Shooters on the nearby platform were caught in the blast, frozen mid-draw.
Everything—
the monsters, their tents, even the flames of their campfire—
was sealed within a crystalline world of ice.
But it wasn't over yet—
