If her previous refusal of Amiya's proposal contained some of her own emotions, then after comprehensively considering the intelligence in front of her, bringing the Doctor back became a matter worth discussing.
Suddenly, Kal'tsit noticed some scribbles and drawings on the intelligence. She was very familiar with the handwriting. After flipping through it, she asked, "Whose book is this?"
"It's Kanna's. She left it with me, and I discovered this intelligence while curiously looking through it!" Amiya said very honestly.
Kal'tsit glanced at Amiya's innocent gaze and shook her head. She must have been mistaken; why did she always feel there was a grinning silhouette behind Amiya, cackling "Jie jie jie jie"?
Turning her head to look at the stack of books in her hand, although the intelligence seemed fragmented, it was clear that some important contents had been deliberately marked using methods such as folded pages, bookmarks, and underlined notes. This allowed people to unconsciously notice the content the person wanted to convey.
The method was very Kanna-like. As for how it ended up in Amiya's hands, she didn't believe it was a mistake. Kanna must have known about the discussion between herself and Amiya regarding the Doctor's return. She just didn't know how Kanna found out the Doctor's exact location, which is why she deliberately put on this act to pass the intelligence to Amiya.
After thinking for a moment, Kal'tsit decided to make a note of it. After all, although Kanna thought she was being discreet, it was indeed a very important piece of news.
Kal'tsit immediately summoned Operators, including Ascalon, to discuss again whether to go to Chernobog to bring back the Doctor.
Ultimately, a result satisfactory to Amiya was reached: Rhodes Island would advance towards Ursus and Yan, approaching Lungmen near Ursus and Yan in mid-December. Then, everyone would depart from Lungmen to Chernobog in Ursus.
Amiya finally smiled with satisfaction at this outcome.
However, after hearing this news from Amiya, Kanna wasn't happy. In her memory, Rhodes Island's journey to Chernobog was originally scheduled for the end of the year. Although she couldn't recall the exact date, it should be roughly the same as the planned time for this mission.
But it wasn't without good news.
Perhaps because the intelligence was received earlier, and the reasons for rescue were more compelling, the team going to Chernobog this time was much larger than she remembered.
First, the Amiya Squad, ACE Squad, Nearl Squad, and Scout Squad from the story were still in the combat lineup. In addition to these four teams, there were also: Blaze's assault squad, the Elite Support Squad (Roguelike Four) with Sharp as temporary leader, Radiant's information communication squad, and Kanna's Special Operations Team, which, after applying and receiving approval, would assist Radiant in reconnoitering Chernobog and providing comprehensive support to the rescue squad.
Compared to the game, the number of teams going this time had doubled, and their strength had greatly increased. Everyone was very confident in bringing the Doctor back.
During the time leading up to Lungmen, while everyone was preparing for battle, Kanna also found herself embroiled in a new kind of war.
Popukar's A6 Reserve Squad had already returned to Rhodes Island, and under the guidance of the evil Kal'tsit, Whisperain wielded the big stick of exams against Kanna. After spending time with Rosmontis, Kanna had no free time left for play. She had to study overtime with Popukar, enduring a small exam every three days and a major exam every five. For a moment, Kanna felt as if she was back in her senior year of high school.
She once protested against such an un-Lungmen-like situation, but to her surprise, Popukar, who should have been on the same side, had defected. For Popukar, whether playing or studying with Kanna, she enjoyed it all. Amiya was busy, and Rosmontis couldn't participate due to her condition, so this study time became a good opportunity for her and Kanna to spend time alone.
How could the pure and kind Popukar refuse to study? She definitely didn't choose to betray Kanna just because she could spend time alone with her, absolutely not.
After several days of high-intensity studying, Kanna finally made a bad child's choice: she skipped class... After sneaking out of Whisperain's office, Kanna happily ran wild in the alleys of Rhodes Island. Too excited from skipping class, she didn't notice anyone and bumped head-on into someone while turning a corner.
With two cries of "Ouch!", they collided.
Kanna looked up and found that the person she had knocked to the ground was also an acquaintance.
"Yo! Little Ifrit!" Kanna said to the person sitting on the ground and trying to get up. The person she had knocked down was Ifrit, who had previously come to Rhodes Island with Silence and Ptilopsis.
"Hmm? Do we know each other?" Ifrit looked up at the body that stood still without even a tremor, feeling very strange. She was clearly bigger than the other person, yet after the collision, she was sitting on the ground while the other person seemed completely fine.
And judging by her familiar greeting, she was someone who knew her.
"The day you all came to Rhodes Island, I was the one who spotted you from afar!" Kanna proudly introduced, pointing to her nose.
Ifrit looked at Kanna with some disbelief. She had heard from Silence that when they first came to Rhodes Island, they encountered an attack by unknown individuals during the final stretch of their journey. Fortunately, a Rhodes Island scout discovered their situation and sent people to rescue them (according to the latest manga, Ifrit was unconscious the entire time she arrived on the island... but when I wrote this plot, that wasn't the case, so I can only say I'm honored to have been backstabbed by the official source).
Looking at the small figure in front of her, she had also heard Silence say that she always wanted to find the scout who helped them to thank her, but each time she inquired with Kal'tsit, she was told that the scout was out on a mission.
She didn't expect the scout Silence had been constantly talking about, who saved them, to be even younger than her.
Ifrit expressed some disbelief, "How is that possible? You're only this big!" As she spoke, Ifrit gestured with her hand to show the height difference between them.
"Hmph! Strength has nothing to do with height. For example, Pandora, who is 1.2 meters tall, is still an Imperial General. If strength were only linked to height, then all Durins would be weaklings."
Kanna wasn't unhappy about Ifrit's skepticism; she merely retorted proudly.
Ifrit rubbed the back of her head and said, "Well, that's good. Silence has been wanting to find you to thank you for your help earlier. How about you come with me to see her?"
Kanna wasn't very interested in Silence, but she was very interested in the Rhodes Island meme ambassador, Ptilopsis, who could be poked for an entire day with just a phone and a pack of cigarettes.
