Soon, the helicopter reached the outer perimeter of the safe house. Misery and his subordinates disembarked first, leaving only Kanna inside.
The helicopter, carrying Kanna, brazenly flew directly over the safe house.
From above, Kanna clearly saw the temporary positions of the Rhodes Island Operators below. At the very front of the position, several Operators lay on the ground, their pupils dilated and breathing stopped, clearly deceased.
Currently, relying on Rosmontis's flying greatswords to form a temporary rear position, the remaining Operators were able to catch their breath. Rosmontis sat on the ground, and from her pale face, it was clear she was in very poor condition.
Upon seeing this situation, Kanna's expression was grim. Silver-white vertical pupils once again appeared in her azure eyes.
According to her usual thinking, she would have already descended to electrocute all the enemies into charcoal. But just as Kal'tsit said, these enemies could not be left alive, but knowing where they came from and who was involved behind the scenes was more important than simply eliminating this group of enemies.
At this moment, the helicopter suddenly appearing in the air attracted the attention of both sides, just as Misery had predicted.
The Rhodes Island side looked at the familiar emblem on the helicopter with expressions of relief, knowing that reinforcements had arrived. The enemies, on the other hand, warily watched the helicopter circling in an '8' pattern in the air.
Several Casters and crossbowmen tentatively attacked the helicopter, but it skillfully dodged them all.
Kanna stood indifferently by the helicopter door, holding a communicator, and described the enemy's layout below to Misery's team, who were infiltrating.
With Kanna's aerial reconnaissance and reporting, Misery's team made excellent progress, quickly devouring all of the enemy's outer layer.
And when the outer layer was almost completely eliminated, the enemy finally discovered Misery's team, and a new round of engagement began between the two sides outside.
It was at this point that Misery gave Kanna the command to land.
Kanna gave the helicopter pilot an OK sign and then leaped directly from the aircraft.
At this moment, upon realizing Rhodes Island's plan, the enemies panicked slightly. They then prepared to launch a full-scale assault to eliminate Rosmontis's squad before turning to engage Rhodes Island's support forces.
But unexpectedly, as their own people charged onto the position, a Rhodes Island Operator, radiating an incredibly terrifying pressure, descended directly from the sky.
Before they could even clearly see her appearance, that person, wielding a massive two-handed sword, directly cut the fastest charging individuals in half.
The landing Kanna was furious at this moment. Seeing those ignorant enemies still daring to charge, she had no intention of holding back. Her single strike, let alone these enemies in ordinary gear, could even peel off the shell of a thick-skinned behemoth.
So, without needing to exert too much effort, with just a simple horizontal slash, the blade's light swept through, and several people fell to the ground in response.
Startled by the inexplicable deaths of their comrades, the enemies paused their attack, allowing Kanna to enter Rosmontis's squad's defensive perimeter.
Although only Kanna was seen, many of those present had witnessed the 'great battle' between Rosmontis and Kanna on the deck and knew how terrifying the newcomer was.
Kanna handed the communicator to one of Rosmontis's squad members, then walked to Rosmontis and asked the nearby Medical Operator,
"How is Rosmontis?"
The Medical Operator first nodded, then shook her head.
"When the enemy launched a sneak attack earlier, Rosmontis blocked most of their offensive, and then she fought continuously, causing her current mental and physical state to be very poor. However, I just gave her an injection, so at least for a short time, the Originium concentration in her body will not continue to increase. But to recover, she must be sent back to Rhodes Island Headquarters for treatment as soon as possible."
Kanna nodded, pointing to the helicopter above, and said, "I will clear the battlefield. You contact the helicopter and send Rosmontis back to Rhodes Island as soon as possible. Leave this place to us."
The other Operators also noticed the commotion from behind the enemy and knew that Kanna was not alone, so they all nodded in understanding.
Kanna picked up her greatsword, twisted her hands, and two long swords, glowing red and blue, appeared in her grasp. Without further ado, Kanna dashed out of the position, directly confronting the enemies who were charging again.
In the disbelieving eyes of the enemies, Kanna, wielding twin swords, was elusive on the battlefield, moving like a blood-soaked grim reaper, utilizing the displacement of Thunderbolt Wedge and her own speed. The most terrifying thing was that not a single enemy she attacked could withstand her for more than a second.
Shields were split open, and the Shieldguards hiding behind them died without understanding why the shields that had always given them a sense of security melted as easily as chocolate encountering a hot knife.
Originium defenses were shattered with a single sword, and before the caster could release another spell, an azure blur flashed by, leaving only a headless corpse in its place.
Now, when Kanna used Star Shift, she no longer needed to use her hands to release Thunderbolt Wedge. With a flick of her small foot, a Thunderbolt Wedge appeared at her feet, and then with a kick, the Thunderbolt Wedge was accurately sent to its destination. The next second, the two swapped positions, red and blue light flashed from the original spot, and a circle of enemies around instantly perished.
If Rosmontis's arts were full of violent aesthetics, then Kanna's combat filled the enemies with terror.
Even though the opponent charged from the front, it felt as if they were facing a highly skilled assassin. Silently, that terrifying figure would appear beside a comrade, then swing a weapon, and a circle of comrades would fall, without any resistance. Most died with eyes full of confusion.
Lethal, efficient, concise—all of this was clearly recorded by the helicopter's camera in the sky.
No one had ever imagined that combat could be so 'simple.' Just as the Operators of Rosmontis's squad picked up their weapons, ready to assist Kanna in repelling the enemies, they realized that apart from a pile of corpses, there wasn't a single living enemy left around.
With a wave from Kanna, the helicopter, which had long been prepared in the sky, descended.
Kanna jumped onto the rooftop, vigilantly scanning her surroundings. If any enemy attempted to attack the helicopter with arts, she would immediately go to intercept them.
Sure enough, just as the helicopter was about to land, a massive fireball suddenly shot out from a nearby house, aimed directly at the helicopter.
Kanna kicked her calf, and a Thunderbolt Wedge was kicked into the space between the fireball and the helicopter the next second.
After activating Star Shift, Kanna appeared before the fireball. Facing the fireball, Kanna remained unfazed, swinging her two swords like two windmills, directly slicing the fireball into oblivion.
This incredibly absurd maneuver left the caster nearby stunned. He never dreamed that his art could be nullified in such a way.
