The little rat was instantly shot, his head disappearing from his body as the small body lost all strength, falling limply besides me.
"Phew… just a rat." His steps grew more confident. And, pushing the trigger also required him to loosen the grip around the blue gem slightly, which he didn't bother to tighten.
'His aim is pretty good atleast…' I chuckled to myself bitterly. I need to play this perfectly. One mistake, and I will be that rat.
The white robed man was standing just two inches in front of the wooden barrel now. He slowly raised the long revolver to aim at the lid of it, preparing to shoot.
He was definitely planning to fill the wooden barrel with as many bullets the revolver could shoot.
"A few bullets won't kill these monsters. I will need to delay my deal with Acier though…" He cursed vampires under his breath.
To raise the revolver and aim again, he had to loosen his grip on the blue gem even more.
'He's getting careless…'
I shoved my hand under the wooden barrel silently, and just as he pressed the trigger— I lifted the wooden barrel with everything I had.
The wooden barrel was just feet below the man's height so it directly hit the arm that was raising the revolver, but it didn't stop there, it also hit his jaw at an even higher speed. I was literally lifting seventy kilograms in a weirdly stretched, and adjusted body, without any prep. Vampires were awesome!
Each one of his teeth flew in the air as pain took over his senses. The gun fell with a thud on the stone ground.
More importantly, the palm holding the blue gem was fully open.
I first placed the wooden barrel on the ground, than leaped in the air in a squat jump like a frog.
He noticed me coming, and immediately tried to close his palm, "You! Stay back! I will kill you." I knew if he closed his palm, it was the end of us.
His palm couldn't focus the strength required to crush the gem due to the pain, and the emotional shock—He just fanatically closed his hand, from which I pulled the gem out with one precise movement easily.
"If I am hurt… All the knights of this vast Empire will hunt you down for the rest of your life." He shouted, his voice filled with desperation, shock, and my favorite… Fear. He was trying to negotiate.
"No." I said flatly. "I wonder what you felt these last few days. We shouldn't be your only goods right?" His body started to tremble without him realizing, his eyes shook as he tried to keep an eye contact my red eyes, filled with pure bloodlust, and malice.
"I can give you… I can give you twenty million gold pounds, and also tell you something you really want to know. Anything you want, I can give you that. Just be rational… please." With a deep breath, he stabilized his footing, his face filled with determination.
"Your situation is hopeless. Just give up." I said expressionlessly. Even if I made a deal with him, I will still make sure to kill him. I can't live another day knowing that I let a scum like him live. What's the point of power, freedom, if I can't even do what I wanna? I couldn't believe how much I'd changed in just an hour or so. Would my past life self who lived in modern environment even think of such things? Er… Maybe. But I knew I'd never go through with anything like this.
But, right now… I was sure of it. I will kill him no matter what. This change… it felt good.
Realizing my intentions, he sprawled on the ground, crawling towards the long revolver, he grabbed, and pointed the nuzzle at my chest quickly. His hands were shaking…
He knew so very clearly that it won't work. Nothing will. And that helplessness filled desperation showed that in his eyes oh so vividly. He must have always been at the receiving end of it.
Why didn't I stay just a priest? Take my money. I don't need it! Please just spare me. I want to live. Beg him, he might spare you. Forgive me… I shouldn't have…
His eyes clearly showed each of his thoughts.
"I-I will kill you!" His fingers moved to press the trigger.
Even at this moment, he was still not true to his feelings, and thoughts. Truly a pitiful man through and through.
Before he could press the trigger, my arm was already raised high. Before he even had the time to register
THWACKKK!!
I slapped his face with all the strength I had.
It was just to humiliate him, break him even further, but…
My eyes widened. At the contact—the six foot tall muscular man flew like a cannonball, hitting the metal wall with fully dilated pupils, white foam of some sort oozing from his wide open mouth.
…
'...Is he dead?' My body trembled with discomfort, staring at his fully opened jaw so unnaturally wide, that his jaw must've broken.
And his body, it looked like a shattered doll. The wall was seemingly fine, but the contact had painted the metallic colour blood red, the white fabric of his robe too was drenched red.
With one look with [The Eye of Sanguine] I saw his condition. The impact had broken all 206 of his bones, and those bones were stabbed into his skin, and organs. His lung was punctured from all sides, his skull bones piercing through his eyes and tongue. It was honestly the most gruesome site one could imagine.
Yet… I didn't feel much. My past self couldn't look straight at a butcher working…
Was this all just instinct too?
That was a question to ask later. I would probably have a mental breakdown when I ask it, I guess.
He should die in a few minutes. Time to get out! I sighed, deciding to leave him in one of the worst pains ever.
Just as I took another step, the translucent red screen vibrated to existence before me.
I assumed it was an answer some thought of mine again, but the content sent a chill down my spine.
